Actually there is one thing I don't understand about the need to jump from 51 to 55.

If the plan is to release G8 say in two years after G7, then why not spend 4 months on each odd level in G5. 4 months on 51, then again on 53, and so on.

That way you will have 20 months planned out and 4 months to place content in other levels.

Hey, I know that feeling too well!. The only advise in such a situation i can give you that you skip for the moment some of the events where you have absolute no chance to fulltill them and instead do your own smaller goals. Getting an specific ship and/or working on your Research Tree while doing the bare minimum (Dailies, some of the lighter Events, etc, etc,...) and at some point you will be again able to do more and more of those bigger Events. Before i forget, there are on a regular base events that help your Alliance where you have to literally just kill some smaller Ships and/or a specific factions that adds points to your Alliance. Do those instead of wasting your time with some of the Events where mostly only people that either pay for some materials and/or have saved those up for a specific events a long time up. Wish you the best and always remember: There will be another day where Scopely will try to screw you over so don't let them 😉
