so this is a slight rant, but more of ask too. we talk about community, and friendship, but how many times do I have to report my server's troll before something is done about them? They are anti-community, and sometimes makes the game miserable for others on purpose, and seems to be thier primary mandate. The player kills other players ship just for the sheer enjoyment of it, with the only gain being the joy they get from killing others. Ocassionally this person has said things to me that border on hateful and inappropriate. I get that killing each other is technically part of the game, but this behaviour does not support the "community". It feels like in game reporting just goes to a blackhole.........

Another tip on V'ger... if you are having trouble and have an extra BD slot, take Harry Kim. Don't forget the boosts you get from having Morale from Star Path research. I went from killing 5 Hurak to killing 10 by switching out one BD officer that I was just using to boost Defense. Ops 61 attacking 61's.

Lvl 67 vger is 143b hostile
Lvl 68 vger is 213b hostile
Lvl 69 vger is 414b hostile
That is a big stap between 68 an 69 the difference is way to big to work with or to make it possible.
You need special chaos tech and maxed/high specific officers otherwise, no way you get it done.

Be honest 69-74 even that ops power difference is extreme... and who is ops 74?

Most research doesn't matter that much anymore either. You generally have enough research already, no matter what the others keep pounding on. The amount of power locked behind the rest of your missing research nodes is small compared to how much power locked behind artifact development.

Imagine you finished those two nodes, and picked up a little more efficiency on trit/dil. That, in and of itself, yields no additional power, no additional performance. If you maneuvered it into a couple more research nodes, and an extra component, then how much more performance do you think you could squeeze out? maybe a percent or two? It's absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. That's why research doesn't matter at your stage of the game. You've already collected many of the good nodes, and much of the available power there.

Instead, hyperfocusing on artifacts can get you a max Glavin. That one artifact alone will change the shape of your fights. It is a binary switch to making content possible.

So does that mean the 2 epic and the legendary parts to this "challenge track" are not attainable by those who have purchased into obtaining them? if you haven't bought anything, you can only finish the first 5 milestones. If you have the Escelsior, then you'll have enough daily challenges to do the first 7. And if you have the Excelsior and paid $20 for the bonus mission, you'll be able to finish milestone 8

@cybie is right for a long time i have only used one ship for g6 armadas. T9 g6 uc is essential as your cube will be your strong ship with very high dpr till you get your epic g6.

I’m in the same boat. Swapped my G6 T8 UC for G5 T11 Epic and still fail despite everyone telling me it’s easy. I suspect it’s due to my officers aren’t properly leveled as I’m using the crews people suggest

I'd drop either trip or annorax (not sure how necessary trip is in g6 against these, i never need to use him in g5) and swap them for doc so you have mitigation. Try swapping out neelix bd for Pic Hugh for more hull regen (burning isn't necessarily needed for an explorer and you have morale from Kim already).

See how that goes and go from there. If you're still dying and losing shields then you might need to swap the other bridge member for Seska to help with that.

cuz it's 90% the hidden hostile so I'm guessing everytime you kill a visable one a hidden one spawns and it repeats until the system is empty. after which U gotta wait till a hidden hostile despawns to spawn in a visable one or wait till someone uses the new ship to kill 1

Yeh i tried that crew and it didn't work for me. My Seska is only tier 2 so perhaps I need to wait and she's levelled up. But the gorn are weird, hardly any damage to them. I am convinced there is something funny with the 69's in that system

Some are at point you need more isolytic in that case you swap to other chaos tech and it seems to work.
Interphasic mirror seems t be great for Hurak and Gorn, Godsend on Silent.
My joachim works on Hurak and Gorn but not with Silent.. i swap to Kim instead

new content is brutal before a 66 cube. outposts are pretty hard with 60s and not having your specialty ships leveled up. same thing happened with hurak back then, 60s could do it but only if you were on the high end of 60
