the vidar bonus doesn't work for starters and it requires either starting 2 mega cubes, defeating both, and then joining another 5 and defeating those, or starting and defeating 4 mega cubes, which isn't possible without the directives.

as for the other event, mega cubes don't count at all. so you gotta do uncommon borg cubes at 400 points joining, or 800 starting which is a minimum of 19 uncommons.

10k to start a mega, 8k to defeat one, 4k for using a vidar.

and i have 18k for starting and defeating one with my vidar, so obviously i did not get the vidar bonus.

i dunno how anyone got paid to relabel the old borg events and make them worse instead of better.

Dear fellow players, I have a new challenge for you.
We should make support for Scopely so expensive that they finally start fixing the bugs.
At least for the bugs that support has to solve manually today, that could work.
For example, the error in Khan's Champions Level Quest. It occurs when you start the next quest before you have collected the reward. The fact that this is even possible should be easy for Scopely to fix.
So provoke this bug and then ask support to fix it.
Maybe that will create enough pressure.

In general, the strategy I'm employing is to load up on survivability officers. There's shp/hhp repair, mitigation, and uses Neelix to burn out the target's hull. The best ship you can use is one that employs all of those crew members and has the highest amount of shp/hhp. The damage capabilities of the ship don't matter.

The GS31 is kind of a poor choice, it's low in health, and you might want to try a different ship.

Borg Expansion Cube Event isn't scoring correctly. You don't get the 10k for starting one, nor the 4k for using the Talios damage reduction Exo/perk. You only get the 8k for defeating an Expansion Cube whether you start it or not. So goofy. First it has a terrible description, you rectify that, but totally ignore the scoring issue. Goodness. 🙄

Yessir. Only when there's an actual event the Alliance can come together and complete, but that particular one is frustrating due to the scoring issue. I should have completed the required 70k points with 4 Expansion Cubes at 22k points per for starting (10k) and using the Talios perk (4k) plus defeating one (8k), but nope. At 8k per only it took me 9 total. Fix that Scopely. Others in the Alliance had the same issue of course. Ignored as always by you know who.
