I'd compare it to the other packs you're offered. To me, that's not a good pack. Only the packs that were built off of standard packs and have a modifier are the good ones. Examples are Treasury (base * 150%) and Grabthar's (base * 200%).

Making the new officers cost outpost currency hurts them so much as we don't know the long term plans for outposts

Man some people in this game are super rude. Send six ships to the 61-70 event system, 1 good one, 5 babies.

71 in a Veng shows up, kills everything, including my Titan, then nicks off and doesn't return the favour.

Another 68 shows up, does the same thing.

I've helped six people now and only 2 have returned the favour.

Scopely, what in the actual hell is going on with this game?

Every week we get a shiny new “hotfix” announcement, and every week the game gets worse. At this point the only thing running smoothly is the copy-paste PR message you keep feeding us.

After yesterday’s maintenance, the game is practically unplayable:

• Lag so bad it feels like the servers are running on a potato.
• Crashes constantly, sometimes back-to-back.
• Chat is completely broken — have to restart every time just to type a sentence.
• Ship details freezing the client like it’s having a nervous breakdown.
• UI loops, lockups, and general instability everywhere you touch.

And before someone chimes in with “clear cache” or “reinstall” — spare me.
We’ve all done that. This is not a player-side issue. This is a broken build pushed live without proper testing — again.

You keep pumping out hotfixes for half-finished features, broken nodes, broken outposts, broken events, broken abilities, broken leaderboards… but the core game is rotting underneath it all. It feels like the dev team is duct-taping holes faster than the ship can sink.

And the worst part?
You expect players — especially late-game players — to keep spending money while the game client performs like it’s in early beta.

So here it is, plain and simple:

Start fixing the damn game. Not band-aids. Not PR fluff. Actual fixes. Actual testing. Actual stability.

Because right now, it feels like the players care more about STFC than the people running it.

Anyone else experiencing this level of failure since the update, sound off.
If Scopely won’t listen to a single voice, maybe they’ll listen to a crowd.

There is absolutely squat diddly attempt to improve the end user experience.

It's pretty much impossible for players to enjoy the game any more. The underlying fundamentals just do not work.

Scopely know that only took well. They have zero interest in fixing it.

Stop the new releases, and fix the underlying problems. That might just help with player retention.

They must realise by now that servers are getting quieter, chat is staying empty for long hours at a time....and that's when people can even access chat.

Scopely, you simply cannot remain tone deaf forever.

I assume the logic is that once you get the building to lvl 40 and can use 3 ships, the squall with that tech could be your third ship. Since surveys are outside of the combat triangle they shouldn't be targeted at all from those outpost hostiles as long as your other 2 ships are alive.

Still doesn't sound reasonable to me to use it that way, the bonus is kinda small once you get to that point and got that tech which you need to buy and lvl first as well. And the Squall has other things to do, too.

If it was a "one-time" task.. It makes sense because you could use the Syndicate Pass to complete it, which would be PAY, but not necessarily unreasonable. But obviously that's only once. And you need the full syndicate pass to do it, which won't be over by then. So overall it's just a scam. They're all kind of scams. That's all. Just "PAY TO WIN" scams. Ruined the tournament for anyone not willing to drop $1200 or more in a short period of time. Which I still assume is the majority of the player base.

If the whole point is to make people hate a game they've been immersed in for years and spent a small fortune on, then Scopely is doing a fantastic job. I would argue we are just moving towards what it was when tournaments launched. You might have been able to do syndicate once or twice if you saved your BP etc claims.

Choice rewards were only for the minority who were ops61+ at the time. Now lower ops players can do it twice as f2p and 5 times with elite pass (or more if you combine with other sources) and you have stuff like continuum refinery for guaranteed income (for g6 and down)

Communication could have been better but I'm not expecting the tasks stay the same when sourcing for the stuff they require increase almost every month.

Those now require 3x more for all g6 players, syndicate more than 10x more. I honestly think they did care in the past. Not sure at what point in time it went wrong, but these days it really feels like they intentionally focus on "culling the herd". Not every employee at scopely is inherently evil, don't get me wrong. But at least some of them truly hate the folks still fighting to play the game

I wouldn't say Origins is bad, just cheap and it shows. Universe really hit its stride in s2 before being cut. It suffered from a tonal shift to draw from BSG 2005 instead of matching SG1 and SGA
