I’m curious, did server 24 get any kind of compensation for the shield drop right in the middle of that big raid that would have easily put them over the top? I mean if the raid was big enough, that would only have been 1-2 hits with an amalgam to pull off the win. Personally I’d be super mad. The reason why I ask is because we (42) were in the position as you guys. Way behind at the start and turned it completely around for the w. If the shield drop would have been (let’s say 6 hrs sooner, we would have lost too.

Look I’m not defending scopely in any way. BUT, if you got hit by a tsunami, even a small one, the potential damage to infrastructure is massive including power to charge your device. The real issue that I see wasn’t that it was a 7 day, it was the fact that they didn’t pause the incursions in the affected servers until it was clear that there wasn’t any real widespread damage. AND the fact that the shield was finally applied 12 hours after the earthquake

We get new grinds with officers and ships, we have to buy to compete.

Scopely said, they hear us and then they came up with the archive and we thought, cool. Less grind, but every old grind that got removed a new and even bigger one was introduced.

For almost a year now, we have ops70, nothing new to do, than spend spend spend and tier the ships up, and this is really really expensive.

Scopely is more than ever doing everything to squeeze so much money out of the player base as possible.
Its an absolute disgrace.

The reliant out of the box will close the common collection part of the loop even for the lowest level players. Some players can make use of improved crewing to close other parts of the drops collection. But the real star power it brings is the collection of champion trophies that are needed by the ton from the loot boxes. Most of the early buyers were burnt because they didn't need those drops yet since they're only a requirement at 60m+ rep, but it proves its value when you get there.

Will unlock Reliant soon… I have all the common, uncommon and rare favours done, Khan is almost maxed and Joakim is done. I’ll likely be done the rest of the epic favour by the time my Reliant is ~ t10 to be useful.

They call them orthogonal loops. And yes, you can skip all of them. You can even skip the main loop, but it's all an essential part of the game. Pieces you're rewarded in one of those loops can be used in others, and many are even overall boosters to performance.

It’s not an essential part of the game, and you cannot skip all loops. The essential loops are RSS and Mats, which means that events are mandatory, and Lat/speedups.

Anything that has come out in last 2 years are optional, players progressed without it fine before and will progress without it now. It’s not essential. Reliant, transogen, none of it essential, or even that important.

If you only cared about rss and mats, then you shouldn't skip the revenant. It's boosting that by a ton. Performance in that loop can be greatly improved if you had strong artifacts and officers like Gwen.

A good source of artifacts? DTI. It's these webs and rewards from all different loops that make the "essential" ones easier. Skipping them is possible, but why not do them while they're here. More effort leads to more reward.

Yeah you’ll get there faster, but with higher burn out to more grind. It’s optional, it’s chasing that last 1/2% but at what cost? Apply the 80/20 rule

Then when the cap is moved to 80. I'll be moving along faster and smoother too. In any case, play at the pace you want. It's just a video game. When we both finish, it goes back in the box. The progression costs have changed. They change every time new stuff is added. Try progressing factions without MU or Arenas. You can do it, but your pace will be very slow. I get what you're saying, but you really shouldn't let your anger over the events during the arc make you decide to permanently skip the content. It's up to you, though. If you really feel that ignoring all new content will improve your experience, go ahead. You should probably play solo though so you don't hold back your alliance.
