That said, fixing some of the bugs would be a huge endeavor because they've let it go for so long unfortunately. A lot of things should've been fixed for five years ago.

Not really. Not if you know what you're doing. I've been coding games for 30 years, and this game isn't all that big. I could see it if it was something massively huge and complicated, but something like this – not really all that hard to go back and fix the code.
Now fixing the performance would be a lot bigger challenge. That would be a huge pain in the ass because all that old code would need to be re-optimized and coded in parallel. That's something I don't really expect them to do. Fix the bugs yes, make it perform without any hitches, no I don't expect that. However, I do expect them to fix some of them more severe lag in the game that both the client and the servers have

We always choose what we engage in but I see nothing that improves my gameplay/reduces my grinding time in a meaningful way while guarding my miner from a hunter isn't exactly something I look forward to though I'll see if the usual hunter cancel methods work

So for a server thats literally just popped the ops 70 cap last week. Today were going to have that popped to 80 as well, what a joke were a year old and are no where near ready for the new content, with all the old arcs still to complete. Yes we have been pumped full of resources way beyond other servers but we dont have the "time" of play to have the officers and gear to progress properly.
