You can complete the sms with taking out a couple g5/g6 ships its really not hard to do unless the entire server is hiding away then that can't be helped, message someone and ask for some PvP if you need to complete the sms

you do'nt get points for taking out G5 or G6. only G4 in my bracket. they seem to be hiding so G5s and 6s are running around and getting the SMS done is harder. it should be "you get points for wins in your bracket and losses above" so it's not just a total loss fighting against CCs for just the SMS, which doesn't effect others. SLB fine do whatever. but SMS is just you trying to complete it for yourself.

That actually seems like a lot of fun if I'm honest, but I'm more worried about with them changing things with the already present bugs in the game, it will cause more problems
It would be really nice if we got a fun arc that caused permanent changes to the game versus the same old same old we've been doing. So I'm looking forward to that, but I'm worried about the technical aspects if the game client & servers will actually be able to handle it

They could have partially fixed that by tieing the invasion percentage to the hostile spawn (i.e. 60% would be 60% sarris hostiles, 40% regular, etc.)
Which would have enouraged people to participate - ignore it and you don't get your regular hostiles back.

The latest survey asked if we wanted a real life celebrity added to the game, which is out of touch with why we played this game to begin with.
