there are other free task in there. Like acquire 1250 uncommon fleet commander credits (tiering the command center gives these..). Acquire 500 epic borg directives, Acquire 500 epic jem... Protomatter.. If you have whip you can get bells and do this free.. It can be done free if you prep..

The closest I've come to spending on AT's is the whip many moons ago. With alot of hoarding I managed to get a score of 126k in the first one when we were still learning the tasks and have capped out my score on every one after. The last 2 have been G6, so with choice rewards its certainly been easier thanks to the aquire G6 uncommon tasks, but one of my G5 alliance mates has managed above 130k each run with the same hoarding and no whip.

Speeds up the whole process alot

Low level systems are available to everyone instead of the, while probably still a lot of people the, minority overall that can get to those systems

Crewing is also another big thing, if I see a mate come in with pmc or pmt to an armada (even if it's a lv 39 and ez kill) I'll tell them it's better if they run loot crew or an actual armada crew bc eventually they will need that knowledge for their solos / g5 armadas. You can help your alliance a bunch without spendign a single penny or being able to do all the newest stuff. We havnt even done a single xindi armada in my alliance.

I have one person in mind that for every armada brought Kirk Uhura and Grush and it killed me every time

generally speaking if its a public access alliance its probably not great. there is alot of people that for whatever insane reason start over and usually gather together to form up in private alliances. i can tell you all of our stronger alliances are private and there is some form of screening to make sure you arent a psycho causing trouble to join.

the biggest advice i can give you past getting into a good, motivated alliance is play the game at the speed you want. there is alot of pressure to speed through things or buy things, dont let it affect you or burn you out. play at your pace and what you can do and keep control. speed leveling ops is not really a good thing because it isnt an rpg where your power gain is going to put you in a better position. the game moves the goalposts and you will find yourself doing more work and more face time because what the power of your ships are vs what the game expects will be vastly different. try to move when you are comfortably meeting all your dailies and events, this will prevent alot of burnout

they won't. they're in the 'entry point spending' price-range of packs, that's the sort of thing they use to suck people into starting spending. first you grab the 4.99 builder. then the research. then you spent 20 on the research, so why not spend 20 on the battlepass, then why not the 45 on the season pass, etc etc.

That worm event is biased to you killing worms vs hostiles, since the hostile cap is so low. You at least get x2 kills by doing lvl 46 worms and cut your number of kills in half.

Worms are a dead mechanic, other that lessing the grind I get nothing for killing them. It would be the equivalent of having a minng event for red data. Is it hard? No. Are there plenty of nodes? Yes. Red data is so useless they don't even give it to in the IA building.
