Except the scraps said they were used in the event store which they weren't at first and when selected they directed you to the refinery to exchange them which you don't. I don't know if that second part is fixed.

But this is just like basic QAQC stuff and Scopely fails on it.

Overall they content seems solid and a f2p path day 1 for the new ship and other goodies is fantastic.

But it's the details that Scopely is really bad at

After 12bps yesterday it was standard 22hr cool down which is fine but then I got 2 more bps and had a 3 min cool down pop up, went back and got another 3 bps now I have a 24min cool down??

The reason for the cooldown is obviously to make it so you can't get it during first invasion. Else they wouldn't be able to sell the packs. As to the random time of the cooldowns. Who knows. It's Scopely logic. Probably the most complex solution to the simplest problem.

It looks like a maximum of 12 bps per day and every bp has it's own 22h cooldown.
