You aren’t wrong. This is a very stressful feature. Limited resources to enter, limited time to get materials, high risk of rogues and trolls taking everything and griefing, no way to recall, and no easy in-game way to get more tokens.

This looks great as a the start of a game design for a single player if you meant to make a Hard Mode extension. But with the addition of griefers and rogues, wars and other nonsense … this is extremely risky and highly stressful. That’s never been what this game was about.

When I have a stressful day at work I want to relax, not crawl through CC videos to figure out what monstrosity scopely conjured up. It seems scopely decided to take the negative aspect of each of this years arcs and condense it into the june arc. This system just makes me want to not even engage with the content.

This mobile game had become way way way more than just a mobile game.
It's on par with a lot of actual console and pc games.
I understand the need to keep people entertained, and to keep people interested and coming back. There definitely is a very fine line of just enough, and too much.
Scopely has for a while now, crossed into the too much catagory.
Even as a semi p2p player, I'm overwhelmed with how much there is needed to buy to be functional in this game.
I've got decades worth of pc games that I could play, and I spent a fraction on them as I have in this game.
It is way too much, and it has become way too complex for many players anymore.
Our server has lost more than half of its player base over the last year due to this, and the non ending bugs that persist.
The majority of our servers top spenders are gone.
We used to have 100 alliances with active and engaged players. We now have 15. All the power has moved to the top groups and the rest are just empty shells.
I would have quit long ago, but I've spent enough money on this game that if I do I will feel as if I literally caught that money in fire and walked away. I can not do that, so I'm stuck in the game with more and more crap to do with less and less time.
Hopefully one day it'll get easier but I doubt it ever will.
