Depends how you play. If you’re ops-locking your Tally, it can carry you right through the 40s, saving tons of mats on ship upgrades. If you go that way, the ops-lock levels will be your pausing points.

The problem is multi-layered. PVP Is broken is issue #1. The second issue is that they built the game under the impression that PVP was few and far between. They've changed the game.

pvp happens in streaks not everyday or every week. the funny math says yes in game play says no. it's forced pvp because for many they have to stop other grind loops or add PVP to make sure we have enough kills for the war room. it's a great idea on paper in reality not so much.

The worst part is getting killed when you're sitting for 1 minute. Or on our server.. even while active. But the game has always been "Do a kill here, target something, go do another loop here... Target something.. " Always leaving floating ships for a bit.

That's only part of the "forced" nature of these PvP events. Aside from players who have to do PvP instead of their "normal" grinds, many are unable to do anything at all because they're too small to hit the whales. They might try to do their usuals, but it gets discouraging for them to take a 10-minute ride out to whatever space only to get smacked by a whale as soon as they get there.

Ever heard the saying "if you have to tell people you are the good guy, youre normally not the good guy?" theres a lot of that going around my server right now, where the big people that spend thousands of dollars are running around screeching that "the PVP is optional" "if you dont want to PvP just put up a shield and log off!" plenty of people are doing that, i have a 7 day shield up, im running out of things to refine, i havent done dailies, im not doing BP events, im cutting ties with this game, shoot i regret spending $5 last week. FIVE DOLLARS... ive never felt that way with this game, in chasing the whales wants and needs youve negated any chance that players like me that would buy small packs continously if Scopely would stop destroying the game for us. I for one refuse to be the krill to appease Whales so ill continue to sit here and express my disdain for the arc, the content thats being rolled out, and the blatant disregard for anyone that doesnt bankrupt themself on packs. @terse jackal you or hammy can quote me on this, one of the most tone deaf arcs ever and ive been playing since 2019, another grind loop, blatant punching down of whales is encouraged, the rewards arent even worth it, and a blatant lack of communication from anyone here... this is literally tell me you want to kill the game without telling me you want to kill the game! and before anyone tags me saying oh QOL this oh QOL that.
