On our server it seems most people just ignoring the event. Meeting with other players and putting g2 ships to kill then vice versa. At least after most alliances has completed the ms for that 10 war chest keys.
I even could put morhaveen to Texas space for auto ginding.
But the rewards of the war room are garbage if you don’t buy the upgrade pack, so another dead gimmick like assaults, I guess 🙈

So I just gotta say I really like the pvp event. My alliance is pvp based and the top alliance on server 86. We are having a lot of friendly competition on the server with the other bigger alliances. I think it’s really hypocritical from the pve players/farmers to be complaining about scopely finally putting a good pvp event in the game. There are a lot of mining events in the game.We that like the pvp aspect of the game do these events and don’t complain. This game has both pve and pvp aspects I think people need to remember that.

You may not understand this, but not all servers are created or merged equal. So too, some servers have vile toxicity beyond what even the cesspools of the internet have to offer. Try being fed to a server with an average player 20 ops above you, who had better quality packs the entirety of their existence, and three years to stew up the most toxic mess you can imagine. Spend 20k, die trying to do anything, or quit. There's no doubt there are healthy servers with friendly pvp who have enjoyed this change. My sensors indicate this is the minority.

I get your point but I think the problem you are having is the wide range of ops levels that can be attacked. No a level 60+ player shouldn’t be able to attack anyone under ops 50. People in the 50’s should only be allowed to hit as as low as like ops 48-49. If scopely would fix this I think it would help

PvP is fine. My issue is why is 2.4b rotarran able to even target my 65m pilum trying to do a farming run on scoplies new gorn loop. Players, "too much grind time and loops". Scopley, "heres 5 new loops (one every arc) annnnd now you can try doing those constantly targeted by everything" multiplying that grind time exponentially. Don't know why I bother even venting as I guarantee no scopley employee even looks at this discord server, and yes cm's are not scopely employees

STFC is in my opinion more than lightyears away from Gene Roddenberrys Idea of Star Trek. STFC is now nothing else than a Punch Up, instead of creating things like a federation of planets, as it ments to be. A lot of us are quite sorrounded by the daylie terror of wars and terrorism. A second Stella from event stores can be very helpful. One Stella to scrap, one Stella to grind/hit armadas. You get way more rewards for scrapping a maxed Stella. Oh, and the loot bonus for Stella rewards increases by its lvl, so having a high lvl/maxed means more loot in general

My server is very farmy but we have rules.
Everything in fine to kill. Expect in token space and territory. The rule for territory is not in effect during s take over and token space and territory can be killed to clear for Incursion.
That way we can still do these events.

I used to spend on the game, I stopped because all that spending did, was prolong the time I was trying to compete with people spending vastly more than me.
The more interesting question (That Scopely should be interested in) is - Have you stopped or reduced spending due to pvp bands, event bands.... etc

I engage in PvP, our server never agreed to coddle warships this merge (too many people tanked the votes).
I’d concede banding g6 with g6 but I get hit and hit, give/take 🤷♂️
But dailies have been mostly safe for our server.
People can play for a month. Pvp is a dynamic the same as pve and mining are. Just need the balance

They need to find a better solution to pvp. Where pvp becomes a daily you can and want to participate in. Seperate from pve tasks.
The issue we have is that it's very easy to go blow up a bunch of pve ships (mining, pve hostile farming, armadas) without any consequence.
The only response is escalation, doing the same to their alliance, which quickly leads to all out war and nobody doing anything until we get bored of chasing defenseless ships.

From what i've been reading on alot of servers, you have the full on whales spending thousands every month , camping all of the dailies area and the mission areas and just straight killing everyone as soon as they barely have entered a system, its just full on griefing now sending people back to the station for repairs that well , how long does it take to repair a OPS 40+ ship ? if you're not p2w and buy every booster known to man to get your ships back out there right away

The trouble is the incentives they try are in game rss. So players just arrange fake pvp to hit the sms and ignore slbs. Those that want to take part in slbs have no targets.

I honestly feel the pvp system is based on too many factors buildings research skins crew and ops and power gaps between levels would still in many cases be unbalanced it used to be within reason but with the ops cap raised it has gotten out of control

mostly pvp seems oriented around the "I've spent 50k" set of players who enjoy the superiority that money has given them.
So you can either match that spend, or not engage.
I certainly see a few of those on our server, probably less the pacifist whales that kinda keep to themselves.

I think a punch up mechanic is very open to abuse. Would have to be a lot of rules built into the scoring to stop kill trading.
