A captcha based on continuos activity wouldn't work since most well programmed bots will give you an "idle after x minutes" type of function. So any bot user with more than 1 brain cell would be able to avoid the captcha. As a bot user for half a decade on another game, the only deterrent would have been a limit to loot gained.

The epics were all originally designed to be the pvp ships at each grade, but the firing patterns really favor one or two rare ships over them, since the pvp perks on the epics don’t ever get a chance to build up to change how the battle plays out.

There is no master file or centralized quality control that makes sure things integrate with the existing build. From what we’ve heard in the past most arc content creations are done in an isolated vacuum working off of whatever build was current at the time of assignment, so by the time you see an arc months down the road from its inception it’s trying to patch onto a version from months ago and isn’t tested vs the current actual build.
This is why unexpected things break every arc, and why some things have gone six months to a year without being addressed, like formation armadas being broken at a 2:1 ratio so people can’t even effectively try to just work on one set of payouts at a time effectively.

Agreed that we have ongoing issues like the formadas breaking, (not sure if its 2:1 but it is still occurring). But outside of a things like the desealing rod issue from a few weeks ago, the Enterprise arc has been relatively smooth from a tech perspective. Not saying it was perfect, (still need to fix the aquatic xinidi in Q's trials) but we haven't had anything game breaking.

I don't think "usually" is the word I would use. But some arcs have rockier launches than others. Off the top of my head I'd say WD and FT were really rough.

Yup. And its been acknowleged that there were events missing from the interim schedule, but we've also made improvements in other areas. Comms aren't perfect yet, but I think we're moving in the right direction.

Some people get stuck in a loop of “this works and I’ll never venture beyond this because it works” on officers.
It’s why I saw people face planting on xindi armadas over and over, running KSK and 5/6K instead of using anything more useful.

For calculating mitigation, in your battle log, take the Mitigates Number on the left and divide it by the Standard Damage on the right. For example, 435,958 / 721,086 = .60 ie. 60% mitigation.
