Faction miner are the way to go. They maybe material type specific but they vastly outperform the vanilla counterparts of the same tier. Unfortunately you have to use them until you hit the next tier one (normally it will nearly be maxed but worth it).
You’ll not be disappointed.

The scaling of materials for different grades is a dramatic shift, particularly between G3 and G4. Don't let the extra zeros shock you, your income of uncommon will not be as strapped as it is for G3.

Not really. At ops 38 you can start refining common g4 mats. You get access to deep space. And OPC hunting in g4 space 😂👋🏻
