For several reasons ..
1, the server you are on is dead
2, friends are on another server
3, you and a few others want a fresh start away from X..
4, other servers could merge themselves
5, you want to return to an older server but in a different station..

I've discussed it here before but Lords handles it by having a scaled cost based on your size relative to the average power on your target server. So a really big person pays a lot to go to a smaller server.

Small person just costs one token that can be obtained in the guild shop for not cash.

70% is an indicator that the connection issue to the server is hanging and that’s something client side.

Eh it really feels like we're approaching that point due to poor project management, poor coding and poor documentation the stfc coding is a jenga puzzle that us very unstable. The amount of technical issues seems to have a sharp increase the past half year, just look at the g6 release or this arc, and the difficulty or unwillingness to resolve them. There still being no fix for incursion exos means they're either completely unwilling or unable and I'm not sure which is more worrisome

that's more a "feature" and not that abnormal since at lower ops you'll gradually unlock a lot of specialty ships like the vidar, stella etc. I'm talking about actual technical issues and not design choices. If I was I'd add the silent enemies being darn near impossible for some ops, the fact that silent zones don't have a minimum spread of hostile types and levels, the abominable xidni grind,.... to the list.
