The problem with that is we are still waiting on fixes for last year's content.
People were complaining today about Voyager nodes. People attacking each other cause it shows no one on the node.
It requires a game reboot after finishing every 5 SECOND node.
FTP players don't have the NX01 yet and still have that loop to figure out. Loops keep stacking faster then people have the patience or time to figure out.
While some of last year's are still broken.

Why not do the halfway smart thing and switch the old artifacts to being similar to the new types sourcing? That older loop already has it partly built in once you reach a certain tier, would be easy to just switch the payouts from formadas to the generic upgrade mat and give all artifacts the need for that loot at all levels.

the answer is reputation, i thought i saw someone answer that already... you have to be able to get the ship from the faction store before its in the big event, and its limited to 15 bps.... your better off just doing away teams as effeciently as possible getting away team credits and starting the purchase of the faction ships in the away team store

ok, lets work backwards….everyone will NEED a G3 Epic ship aka ‘lv34’ ship, Ent, Augur or D4 - doesnt really matter. That means being ops 34, academy 34 and shipyard 34 to be able to build it. The bp open in Faction store at Respected/10Mil positive rep. G3 Epics appear in Away Team store at 6.66 million positive rep, so you can collect bp, but not be able to build it untill your ops level and other required buildings catches up

also, hunting around in faction systems for "scouts" to get the messages to turn in for faction credits, hunt probes to get credits out of borg refinery.... all good options to speed up bp gathering

question was s401 has alot od newbies wanting a faction ship. Planning and route taken is aiming towards a g3 epic as quick as as cheaply as you can. So whatever epic you want to go for, dont build successive faction or similar type of ships…all battleships for example, as will never have enough ore. Need to pick their way through and plan from ops 19. Get all the specality ships; lv28 ship - sally, bortas or cent -but cent is worst of the 3 - ignore lv32 ships - Intrepid, B’rel, Gladius and go for the lv34’s

You might need a voyager to help with that process (warp range for DS), so just jump to ops 39 without worrying about the epic ship, then just pull away on the chests . Don't worry about dailies , you can finish them easy with Sally/bortas and Cerritos

save your epic loot for Armada chest pulls and only do pulls at ops 38. Useless hi-jacked ships and dvor bp disappear, to be replaced by ISS dark jellyfish. At ops39 have an additional chance for a full pull of 120 bp

I don't want to tell anyone what is or isn't worth having a vigil for.
What I would tell you is that, on my server, the last time I recall anything coming up about vigils in general was when an alliance at war called for a vigil on a Monday in Wolf system, to which an alliance they were fighting mentioned that any ships mining, hitting hostiles, etc, was going to be considered not a part of the vigil and shot immediately. And I don't believe we've had too many since then.

I don't think in most cases it's going to be a "problem" that there's too many vigils going on. Most of the time I don't see vigils affecting gameplay significantly; my understanding of them is that sending ships is optional, and there shouldn't be any in-game advantage from "i'm going to put a ship somewhere that it's not doing anything"; so there might be, like, a social aspect to it? But if so that's really a social thing for your server to figure out.

If the people you're at war with want to make declarations of "for personal emotional number of people in my alliance will park ships here and have them be useless for a large percentage of the time" I don't think that should be a problem for you. Especially if they keep it up, past a point it's unlikely to garner them sympathy, and functionally it makes their gameplay worse because they're down at least one drydock and have to recall the vigil ship if they want to relocate for any reason.

Vigils used to be for players departing. Most respected them.

If a player died, or an immediate family member died, most alliances would respect a Personal Non-Aggression Pact, even during a war… but they would also expect the person to be shielded, not mining or hunting hostiles.

They’d also only be for a few hours usually. If someone tried to call for one for a second cousin during a war? I don’t think anyone would accept it.
