A number of alliance members are reporting the following issues (including myself).
Has anyone else been having weird issues with ship deployment and attacks that won't work because the target isn't in that location?
I even left Augmented space and my chaser kept traveling to the location even though I had been gone over 30 seconds.
I wonder how common it is? I've restarted a few times but it keeps returning.

Also still getting times when the display goes to a external station view [Dock to Ship Pov] with no means of returning or continuing the game (that includes the device back button. )

The only way you could get an armada before it's shield regenerates, is to attack an existing armada by another alliance immediately after they start theirs to eliminate the refresh time.
And then you run the risk of them finishing the armada or abandoning it.

I disagreed with him, but in that second attempt, sure enough, there were no shields. SO again, I ask: is that a bug??? Or working as intended?

@naive thorn and you're wrong on immediately attacking an armada from a second alliance. When multiple alliances start the same armada, the secondary alliance ALWAYS cancels so no way in hell the first alliance attacks and the second one attacks immediately. There's a bug where the shield isn't regenning. Unfortunately I spent 2 hours raiding someone so I no longer have the battle report LOL, but when I looked at the battle log the second attempt, the very first hits on the armada showed zero shields damage

The first showing his presumed actual winnings which included a critical Success.
The second showing the intended payout showing a critical Success of what he might potentially win.
He's stating that he received xp instead of the offered Latinum.

Look at the top of the rewards screenshot. It says "success" instead of "critical success". So he didn't get a critical. What's more likely is the reward box only shows 2 of the 3 normal success rewards, and he'd need to tap the + symbol to see all of them (like the battlepass or dailies).

We have had many instances where multiple alliances target the same armada target. If a alliance cancels it is normally by choice. Unless it is a factor or agreement that is different on his server compared to mine.

@regal rock , Sorry. That is incorrect. Farmville actually uses more of the system, as I have played it across several mobile and desktop platforms. I have observed the RAM, CPU, and GPU usage of Farmville in realtime. Farmville is much more of a resource hog than STFC is. Care to try again?

And RAM doesn't work that way. ROM works that way, which is what the device storage is. RAM on the other hand is only used qhen software is active. Again, failed explanation. Try again.

The following shows the STFC memory usage on my device. The first image is for 3 hours usage. Second image shows 6 hours usage. Third image shows 12 hours usage. And Forth image shows 24 hours usage. This is STFC'S usage of the memory, including RAM, On my device. Memory usage does NOT exceed 1.1 Gigabytes. RAM usage (Z-ram) does not even reach 1 Gigabyte. So I again affirm, with these documented facts recorded by my system, that the claim that my device's RAM being insufficient and the cause of the app crashing is a false claim.

Now, please grant me a bit of respect and dignity and discontinue the claims that my device is at fault here. The fault lies in the STFC app. Please fix the issue.

Every person I know who plays the game complains about lag and crashing. And it’s gotten much worse since the last update. So I would like to meet the thousands who play without issue. Just because we don’t all complain daily because that’s just a chore, doesn’t mean it’s not a problem for everyone. It’s advertised as a mobile game. It’s supposed to be designed to work on phones. That’s the point. If everyone experiences ridiculous lag and multiple crashes/restarts, that’s a design problem, not a device problem.

If you want to see alliance tags, how often do you need to clear localization? The amount people pay to play this game, they should have an elite game experience. Mine works pretty well. I think I have a special version that comes with less bugs 😂
Also ROM is not device storage.
And just because the game caps out its memory usage at 1.1GB doesn't mean that this is the limit that it is requires. Mine goes up to 1.5GB, and even then using only 540MB my total in use exceed 2GB. Hence if I only had 2GB available to use I would probably experience issues playing.

@slender silo , I concur. However, Scopely Customer Service insists it is a probelm with our devices, not their software. So I posted my device's actual funcionality for the purpose of confirming that my device is NOT causing the crashes. And since Scopely's Customer Service reps seem to reply in an almost bot like fashion, with the same seemingly preprogrammed responses every time, I believe it is not only reasonable but prudent to continue to report these "bugs" in the appropriately designated "bug reporting" thread as many times as necessary until Scopely Acknowledges the problems, apologizes, and deals with the problem with their software. Because, frankly, it is disrespectful of their employees to continue to blame their customers for issues that are clearly occuring within their software. Their own rules require us to show respect in these forums. we are simply asking them to return the same courtesy and follow their own rules.

My system has more available RAM and the same STFC app uses up to 50% more than yours does. You claim it's fine because your system will leave at least 120MB free? That's not even enough for googles G-board 😬 sounds like you're running out of RAM, which will probably lead to problems such as crashing applications.. which won't report higher RAM usage because they can't use more..

So again, while all of you continue to guess that it's a problem with my device, my device continues to dispell such assumptions and prove that the app should not be crashing. And since STFC is the ONLY app that is crashing, it can only be properly deduced that my device is in fact not the problem.

Let's try this another way.
Your system shows an average RAM usage of 1.5GB. STFC shows an average usage of 0.5GB.
Your STFC peak usage though is 1.1GB. Presumably then peak total use would be about 2.1GB
And it's probably crashing because it's the app that's using half of your RAM before hitting a wall..

not long after a patch update i've found gboard/swiftkey to reduce the stability of my beta client, not sure what engineering do - but the client seems much more stable a couple days later. I only noticed it after the multipart event where it was sending us to weird and wonderful systems. i was using the ingame system search and alliance chat a lot more than normal. ended up swapping back to the stock virtual keyboard and it improved dramatically

If you read the usage report, the G-Board usage is included in that calculation. If you are not going to read all of the available information, you should refrain from making suggestions about what is to blame for the crashes.

Peak, not average.
Fact is 120MB isn't much, and when not constrained by memory limitations the game will use 50% more RAM at peak than yours is currently (which will effectively hit the limit for your system as is). It looks like you need more RAM, and given that my system with more RAM is significantly more stable than yours 🤷‍♂️
Maybe we can run some trials in BlueStacks with varying RAM though to see what happens as it's set lower, since you're not likely to get an upgrade with minimum 3GB.

BlueStacks? Seriously? You do understand that the use of BlueStacks modifies the app so that it will work on a device that the app was not intended to run on, right? So you are not even going to get an accurate assessment of the issue because the app has already been modified by BlueStacks to operate on whatever device BlueStacks has set it up to run on. No wonder you aren't having issues. Do us all a favor and get an actual Android or Apple device to play the game on, then we can talk about your opinons on what is causing the game to crash. How about that?

Blue stacks does not modify the app. Blue stacks is an Android emulator designed to run in windows. No different than windows emulators for Mac computers. Neither one modifies the app/program code. They only allow the app/program to run in a non native environment. So in simple terms, you are running stfc in an android operationing system that is running in a windows environment.

@tepid flame , So using an emulator, you can plug in a Nintendo cartridge and play Legend of Zelda on a PC? No. You can't. The game must be modified, in some form or fashion, to be able to operate through an emulator or MOD. So yes, effectively the game is altered to the extent to make it playable on a platform that it was not intended to be played on. I know this because I have over 20 game systems with over 200 games between them. many of those games are remakes for newer systems, and I am also familiar with emulators which I have played and am not a fan of because of the alterations made to the games to make them playable on the emulating devices. One glaring change that is made by emulators is the controls.

They don’t support emulators because the issue could be with the emulator software itself which is beyond their control. On terms of controls, that is being reinterpreted by the emulator software to work with the computer. With a true emulator software, there is no change to the original software. Now a mod, by definition is a modification to the original software by typically an unauthorized programmer. In essence, you are using hacked software and all things can be changed for the better or for the worse from the original programmer. Blue stacks is an emulator not a mod. Methinks you need to do some more research on google to educate yourself on terminology, definition and execution of such things.

@tepid flame , So how do you play Legend of Zelda for the NES on a PC without modifying the game from its original fromat (the cartridge)? It is an example of games being emulated, and yet the game MUST be removed from its original patform (the software removed/copied from the cartridge) and set up in such a way for the emulator to make it work on a device it was not originally intended for (such as a PC). An emulator that akes a game from its original platform (be it physical or digital) is adjusting it to operate on a platform that it was not originally ntended to operate on. And these days, there are security features built into these apps to lock them to certain devices/platforms. You can't just go into the app store on Windows, find STFC, and play it. You need to have some kind of software to act as a modifier to allow that game to be played.

But you clearly this understanding of the technology you use daily is foreign to you. So enjoy your blissful ignorance. I have no more time or willingness to waste on those who chose to remain ignorant.

Actually once again your ignorance of correct terminology is asserting itself. So first off nes is a device running its own propitiatory operating system and running programs written to run in said operating system and stored on ROM (read only memory) in the form of a cartridge. Then, you could be running an LOZ “emulation” on windows which is in essence a MOD as the original program was downloaded off the cartridge, reprogrammed and recompiled as a windows program. Or you could be running the original program within a NES emulator windows program. This option would be running the actual original program with out any modification since in essence you have changed your pc into an NES embedded into windows. The emulator again does not actually change any of the code of the original program. As @native oyster has stated this has gone off topic and I’m finished actually trying to explain how emulator vs emulation vs mod works. Also as @keen surge has stated previously, this constant complaint on this board will not accomplish what you are seeking to. If you truly feel the need to constantly bring attention to your dilemma, you need to open in game tickets to get attention from any scopely employees. Very few actual scopely employees monitor this discord, it is mostly a end user moderated board.

This is a bug reporting thread. I have been here reporting bugs and other issues with the game. I am not clogging up this thread. I am trying to use it for its stated purpose. <@&509691205798592532>, I request that I be allowed to continue to report my concerns with the game. I am not getting anywhere with reporting these issues to Scopely Customer service. Nor am I the only person having these issues. I also do not appreciate being badgered like this while trying to report these issues. Please let those of us who are seeking to have our concerns heard be allowed to post hear in peace without this harassment. We need our voices head, and our information taken seriously. What we don't need is to be hounded, harassed, blamed for the issues, or have our conversations selectively reported to get us kicked from the thread. Lol, the only true way to lend credence to your assertation would be for you to actually buy a new device with better stats and download the game. If you have the “exact” same issues with all other parameters, ie connectivity etc the same then you could argue your case. The fact that others with better equipment do not experience the same issue lends weight to the argument that it is a device limitation causing your issue. To be fair, your device is running the “minimum” required amount of ram and you can actually run the app. Scopely makes no reference as to how well it will run with those minimum requirements. Only that it is the minimum required to run it. As a personal example I started playing stfc on an iPhone 6 with no issues, as updates and content were added/released, i experienced the same issue you are complaining about. After upgrading to an iPhone 11. Which was top of the line at that time. Lo and behold all those crashing issue disappeared. Faster processor and more memory leads to a more stable program. This is true of any computing device.

I have taken all reasonanle steps to deal with these issues through the appropriate channels. Abilities activate at the end of a firing pair. Presumably that hostile fires multiple times per weapon and your shield depleted in the middle of the volley, much like how the D4 diminishes the effectiveness of the enterprise ship ability.

For reference, how closely did you check? Keeping in mind that a 30% damage bonus for most players would be only a minor increase that would barely stand out from the weapon damage range, and so for most people would effectively look like it does nothing even when working properly.

I am experiencing this issue since last patch. Every time I turn off screen on the phone (iOS) for a minute or so, when I come back the system where I was grinding is empty of hostiles, and I get the "Scanning" tooltip like in the pic. The ship can move, I can reset miners, I can type in chat (and get others chats in), so connection appears ok. I need to wait a few mins before I can see hostiles, or...restart app. It appears on both wifi and mobile network, which are stable in my area.

Everyone who uses the D4 to fight the Enterprise disagrees, as does my zero damage to shield at the end of round 3 (no Morale in round 1, but triggered in round 2 and so round 3 has morale and therefore if you're correct every shot here must have shields). It just regenerates so much that it's difficult to overcome still. And I've just done the math also, at this point in the battle if it was every shot even for multiple firing weapons I would have had about 2.5m shield health left at this point (from a start of 1.5m), it would only have depleted if it was once per weapon.

It procs when there's still shield health at the end of the volley, this to me shows that the final shot was the shot that depleted the shield (as it will always take 80% of the damage regardless of how little is left) in the cases where it "worked" and in the case where it "didn't work" it was depleted prior to the final shot.

I've literally posted proof that 1 shot can and will do 2 procs, in direct contradiction to what you're saying.
I've also demonstrated that it's the same end of firing pair with the Enterprise.
This is also exactly the same reason why you can gain abilities that require effects from something that triggered that effect after you fired.
It's not that it's not working, it's that your shield was depleted on the very last shot of the volley when it "works" and it was depleted in an earlier shot in the volley when it "didn't".

So yes, you would expect that next shot to have shields..

And I've done the math with Mudd's damage bonus being listed twice, it is not increasing damage twice. No Eurydice, so not apples for apples though, I'll send him out again 😴
But before proc damage range is 25703-31300, after double listed proc it's 35731-42892, or an increase of about 11K. Base weapon damage is 3463-4233, plus 200% Mudd with 40% Pike would expect to see 10.7K average increase with one activation, and 21.5K average increase with 2 activations. Listed twice does not mean increased twice.

Probably because it's actually rather difficult. Best bet is probably to find a decent D4 with Yuki and Marcus to offset the enterprise shield regen.

So every time you see your ship fire back it's a change in weapons. So when you see that shield depleted it's at the end of the weapon firing, and then you'll have shield added back ready for the next shot.
Then in the second you've depleted on the second shot of the volley, no regen can happen until after the firing finished and so no shield for 3rd hit.
Then shield is added back and ready for the next volley.

With numbers over 1 million, best you can do is estimate effective base shield health from the officer bonus (or use stfc.space and add the basic research), then add up all of your bonuses to shield health and see where it lies. I would then get a smaller ship (Mayflower for same bonuses ideally) and compare what it has outside of dock vs expected from its base.

I had a problem on my iPad when I tried to use consumable exocomp chips. I added chips and it didn’t show they were added. Though the were not in my consumables. I added 3 times on one and then 1 time on the other. Nothing showed up. I restarted my app and it showed they were there and active. That was last night.

Whether you have made your Scopely ID from a dead account or your actual one you should be able to use your main one either way if u follow the steps

All that you circled above is a basic link in virtually all html emails so you can view the email in the browser for easier viewing, it’s got nothing to do with the content of the email

But as I said before if your IN game account is linked to your Google, you can just reinstall with your Google play account and it will reload, if all else fails.

So that’s why your scopely id isn’t working it’s because it’s not linked to your current game, because you didn’t sign up via your in game settings

Screen shot your current in game id, on your device, and screenshot the Id for your newly created pc one, and send that into @toxic hornet or customer support and they should be able to merge that correctly

Or else they may be able to delete the login so you can create it again on your original game

PC Build - Scrolling
Wow... scrolling through chat messages is unusable. Their either needs to be a scroll bar with arrows, or fix it so you can actually use the scroll wheel on a mouse. Actually, scrolling on anything is unusable. I know you can use your curser to click+pull the chat (or other interfaces) but people naturally use the scroll wheel on PC. Scroll wheel to zoom in and out when in a system is slow.

I imagine that you don't want a player to be on both the PC and Mobile at the same time. When I tried it there was a good 15 seconds when I was able to do things on both devices. Not sure how your network communications layer is set up but there should probably be an immediate check and boot when someone tries to log in on the same account on different devices, or a failed to log in message to the last log in attempt.

There is a bug on server 60 with territory takeover. Our admiral or commodores can't join because it doesn't have tier 1 adjacent. We have an adjacent tier 1 territory. Please see screenshots (note: I know I am not a commodore but the second restriction is the problem)

PC Build - Scrolling (Part II)
When my PC focus is on the STFC client (windowed mode) and I move my mouse over to other windows (like Chrome to look at this Discord) and scroll to look at content, the STFC window scrolls in and out when I'm looking at a system as I scroll up and down with the mouse wheel (as does this Discord). STFC client should recognize that the mouse is no longer in the window and not zoom in and out.

Something strange is happening. As you can see from this screenshot. I have an Iso node that has lots of Iso on it, but it says I'm going to stop mining it in 15 seconds even though I have lots of room in my cargo space.

This is a few minutes later on the same node. The counter on the node isn't updating.

Known bug. The various resource hunter bonuses also apply in PvP, exposing an additional x% of OC resources from your protected cargo. Can effect Parsteel, tritanium, Dilithium, security codes, nanoprobes.. does not effect 5of10 at least.

Are you talking about a mission? If so, it's quite normal that your next step will be a either an enemy you cannot win against on your level or you are have to fly to a system out of reach.

I'm level 24 now and still can't hit a 40 warp.

It's probably one of the "randomly" assigned systems, there are a couple of missions that do this and can make it hard.
You can try asking customer support for assistance if you don't want to wait (no promises that they'll help though), but you'll need to do this in game.

I am ops 31 and also have missions I cannot complete due to enemies with too much fire power. Level up, get better ships and that's it. Let's call it motivation. Don't think customer support will help you on this.

That's not quite the same thing. In fact given the level that the mission was apparently started it's probably not very strong, just in a location that can't be reached. This happens with a couple of missions that choose "random" systems, and at least one of these was fixed a couple of months ago to prevent a similar issue.

Yeah, not really a bug, but not really intended either I don't think. You can get level 4 missions I think that want you to go to augment space for instance, which is silly, and they used to have some that could send you to a system that would be impossible for most players to access 😂
Given that these aren't designed to be roadblock like some other missions CS have in some cases completed The part of the missions for players, but only they can make that call (and most players don't return to say if they had luck with CS or not, which makes it hard to say if they will/won't likely help..)

But if you don't ask then you'll get nothing.

you only need the scopely id on there if your migrating between platforms,

I switched to ScopleyID to run my account in Android Bluestacks and now on my IOS device. Bluestacks is on my PC and when i loggin to IOS, i basically kick out my PC. So far it goes as expected, BUT....

The screenshot below shows the PC and whilst that one shows, you get a blinking Internet-Connection warning symbol (yellow icon) on the IOS app non stop. This blinking does not stop until you manage to get to your PC and disable the app. So there is some kind of background process, which does interfere with the game running on the other device.

Same happens also vice versa when i kick with my laptop the login session of my ios out.

Can you please fix that as issue? I cannot always ensure i have access to all my devices and that is supper annoying when you are far away from home

So confirmed eurdyice is bugged, station guns only fire 1 shot at a time. As you can see eurdyice activation timing is broken

To clarify a station gun is considerated a separate enemy, each gun fires only 1 shot.
Each shot should depleted the shields.
However, she does not restore in this situation shields on depletion
