I too restart at lv 1 on a new server. the game can not take my backup in the game center.
Yeah @dense ridge it’s a common problem today for iOS players... and no info from scopely and no peace shield allowing other players to raid your base
I just wish I could get a ticket acknowledging that they received my issue... It doesn't seem that difficult to have an automated ticketing system.
I don't expect to get, any raided resources returned. I'm not expecting that. I've asked for that, in my messages to scopely. If I don't, I'm never spending ANY MONEY INDEFINITELY?

@half pawn Because two of the events for the next several days (Roguish Ways - Elite and Leaderboard) are contingent on completing the new research. So if you just did 30+ like I did, you are out the points for the events that should have begun as soon as the content was available.
They answered my ticket. Said it was fixed, then they closed my ticket. It is not fixed...
So just to confirm, if we already did a ton of research we are SOL? We should definitely get credit!

So they delay the events, start them late, and any one that did new augment research loses out on the event points they would have gotten if scopley hadn't delayed the event start. SMDH.

This event was started late. That’s fine, but 6 hours was taken off the event. I started upgrading my ops after the time it started. I feel that since time was taken off I should get credit for it.

@ivory vortex Faction Hunt is bugged. Tiering up a ship is only paying half the points! I tiered up the D3 4x and it only paid 600pts instead of 1200pts!

I guess this is a normal occurance every time scopely adds new content. Sorry I didn't know to not trust the developer every time they add new stuff. I agree @rapid inlet that your issue is a bigger priority, doesn't make this other one less of a problem

Compensation pack is a farce. Starting event late at night is crap. Do you think players don’t have work or need any sleep? Also the researches and Vidar tasks are handled really bad. I expect several people to leave the game due to this... perfect handling Scopely..... NOT!

I used to be able to go in to the alliance list, select any player, and along with the option to promote, demote, kick etc, there was an option to locate the player in the list of options. It would take you to the base of your alliance member. I cant see that anymore with this release.
And in effect its the purple icons in the galaxy view, but i dont have to search through the systems to find who is in which system, i could just locate any player by selecting the Locate option.
The thing we have another player with ios login problems in one of allies alliance, and we are trying to locate him, but the long route by looking at purple icons and going through each system. The earlier option would have been much easier.

Just upgraded from level 26 to level 27, I had access to the vi'dar event at 26 and was very much looking forward to completing it and having access not only to Borg space but also the best latinum farming. Now at level 27 I no longer have access to the event... This is unacceptable

@nova panther My game is still not fixed: since 8 am eastern time. I couldn't have picked a worse time: the23rd anniversary of my father's passing, is next Tuesday. Frickin rotten timing! I hope I can get my raided resources back (I got confirmation a few hours ago from a friend).
Also just to add to my earlier post I’m on stage 6 of the Outlaw Mechanics and have seen zero reduction in my repair costs for any ship
ran an armada on an exchange. Got epic directives from leader chest, but nothing from armada itself despite battle log saying I did. Would send screen shot, but killed ships after and report dropped of bottom of log. Only when I went to faction store did I realise I did not have them! @native oyster
@stuck wadi as in zero change or just haven't noticed a change? Remembering that you could have 300% or more cost reduction already and adding an extra 26% wouldn't make a very large difference to it at that point.

@dull aspen Kirk boosting stats and Spock overcharging your shields will lead to higher shield health figures.

@stuck wadi I've just checked repair costs with T1 vs T2, it's not much but it is reduced for me.
@dull aspen that's Kirk stat boost. He increases your hull health, which is then lost after combat ends. If the amount lost if greater than your remaining hull health, then boom.
Just finished a run and same thing..I’m iOS so memory and server lag is a thing fingers crossed I’ll see a difference soon 🙏🏻

I was making sure it wasn't a hidden reduction, so ignore the rest of it, but you can see the reduction is repair costs here. Minor that they are..

A Different Breed is not providing the proper amount of credits it's suppose to for the station modules. I upgraded a lvl 24 ship hanger to lvl 25 and it gave me less then 220 credits, I have lvl 2 other modules from lvl 25 to lvl 26 both with g3 common and uncommon and I have a total of 250 credits. Something is wrong
1 point per common and 5 per uncommon is what it says, i agree it seems too small especialy when you may be already part way though building upgrades

Due to the removed mission planet/node hiding with ships feature, im no longer able to fly to mission planets when other players are there. I then can only select their ships but not the mission objective

@sharp kraken Thanks, I've shared this with my alliance. They've probably left the 15 min travel requirement in from normal armadas instead of changing it to a 7 min one 🙈
I take it then we as a community could not convince Scopely to give everyone a 24 hour shield to everyone to help players who cannot log on?

@rapid inlet My alliance member got raided in the wee hours of the morning, luckily one of our allies were able to defend.. he did loose some of his rss though.. the player was gutted when he could not login, he said that if he could not get in back, it was time for him to say bye bye.. we are still hopeful that when he gets back from work and updates to the new app, he will be able to login, but looking at the rest of you guys, i am still in dreamland..
My saladin is stuck in that state ...any ideas how to fix that. Wrote the support ..no response for hours ...pretty bad with the events still unfinished
To anyone who hasn’t done it yet: DO NOT UPDATE THE iOS GAME! You will lose your progress, start from scratch, and get your base raided in the process. I’ve been locked out, since 8 am Eastern Time, Monday July 7th. I’m likely to get the game back, but not the resources lost. The raid wasn’t under normal circumstances. If I don’t, I’m likely done. Fortunately, my other iPhone didn’t have that issue. I normally don’t do game surveys, but after this, that’s gonna change. They get a 1, or zero if that’s an option.
I’m considering asking Apple for a full refund as I can’t get access to my account and CS did not bother even reply back to me. Guess money is the only way to teach them a lesson

It takes time for update to reach everyone and even if it does there will always some exceptions in which case CS should be able to manually fix them

Yes an extra shield would be great for people affected but I am guessing that is too hard for them to do while focused on a fix

No send a shield everyone on all servers. And all their devs are working on the same bug? Seriously they should have parallel avenues of investigation and options. I work in a s/w company and we always set a deadline. If by this time you dont find a fix, we roll back the update.

Well sending a shield to everyone in the server would cause people complain about PvP/raiding. Mods and Panic suggested them ceasefire option but I guess they didnt find it useful. There is a reason behind everything but sadly we rarely learn the reason
If i was the head of QA at scopely at the moment, i would say, the moment the CS bugs coming is beyond x %, that means something has gone wrong, either roll back or if the issue is predominantly the same, i protect my investment, ie my customers, and as this is a game, a shield is a viable easier option than face customer backlash.

Yes ppl raiding would complain and at the same time they would accept that it is a workaround for a problem introduced by the game makers. You will have less people complaining than now.
In fact Scopely would have been appreciated for taking quick action.

@swift iris they are so inundated with CS requests right now, its pretty slow, the response time for tickets is through the roof. my alliance member got a response back after 6/7 hours. i guess it depends on where you are in the queue.
I raised a ticket almost 12 hours ago and not a single reply, that is not acceptable
people who raised the tickets as soon as the update was released and found that they could not log on, got resolved within 4/5 hours.. after that its been an exponential curve
i work for a customer who handles 20M customers everyday.. something like this would mean some one is loosing his/her job.. i dont know what the customer base ie player base is for stfc.. in millions or tens of millions and what proportion of players got affected by this..
i hope scopely will reinstance the players accounts before the update, and give those players an extra bonus

Service Level Agreements between business and customer etc is a different ball game to an online environment where there is pretty much no agreement

There is no guarantee that you have a 6 hour or 24 or even 48 hour response time from support. SLA are usually in place via contracts and because it’s business imperative.

Before I complain, credit where it is due. Admiral Marcus is fixed and works wonderfully. Explorers can actually be countered now. Also, Nero is fixed, he does try to trigger burning each round as would make sense.
Now for the bug.
Burning itself is messed up. So long as burning is in effect, it cannot be triggered again - which makes no sense.
The effect begins in the middle of a round, so none of the burning effect abilities proc for that round.
Nero burns for 2 rounds, so the first round gets no effect from Kumak, Vemet, D'Joaki etc.
The second round of burning works correctly, everybody procs.
But, in round 3 we are back to burning triggering in the middle of the round again so nobody procs.
At BEST with Nero, burning works well every other round. With Mirak burning doesn't allow any of the other officer abilities to work at all - ever.
@ashen portal there's nothing broken there, you need a higher warp capability to access the warp path between Wolf and Babel. Until you get the required warp you are unable to use that path and so have to track around the long way.

@sick sluice Agreed, urgent fixes needed for burning to be relevant. They should have just made the proc mechanic and duration the same for Nero and Gorkon as it is Kirk. The Federation are not OP in any Star Trek Universe, so why there have to be in this game I don't know

My son has the same issue. Not able to log in since update. He set a 24 hour shield before updating, it ran out. Drained. Lost over 100 mil rss. Still unable to log in. Even tried reinstalling.

One good bit of good news, my alliance member who was locked out finally managed to get in with the new app update 9.8.1 on his iPad. So thanks for all the help. Important Lesson for iOS players: Always take a backup right before you update STFC. Not sure if that would have helped in the current scenario, but its always worth it if you want to play this game. 😟 . I dont know if the devs were stressful or not, but we have been trying to keep the bases from getting raided, so that the players dont get disappointed and stop playing the game. So Scopely you really owe us big time for this.

Auto update sometimes doesnt update the game so some IOS players reinstall game to get the update and that is what caused this I think(reinstalling)

The disappointment when you find your base getting raided and being able to turn on the shield, and not knowing if the rss will be refunded or not, we could not take the chance, so we did our best. He did get raided, and lost about 100M P, but he had a good majority of his rss defended. And he is a happy bunny. You really do not know how he felt when he could not login and the thought of losing the rss and when he logged back in to find he still had majotiry of his rss still in the game.
perhaps test your updates prior to release and consult with the game store and app store prior to activating it live

But my friend is aware that rss is just a few pixel nothing more to get stressed over. Can always get it back and actually more fun when you get it back instead of holding on to them for weeks

A different breed for me yesterday started after I started ops 24, at that time 2 lvls were 1010, and 4350. Finished ops 24 today, different breed now reads 3450 and 8350 and only 25 bp vidar in each, yet others reporting there's have 50bp for each milestone.
Also at ops 24, all buildings points come in as common and around 1200 max points.

The update unlinked my account for 22 hours during which time two things happened: I submitted a report to customer service every hour and never received any response and my shield dropped and my all my resources garnered over thousands of hours was looted. Scopely still has not responded,
Attempted a lvl 37 Green Armada in Mige. Call went off, then all players got stuck in combat. Armada timed out it seemed, and no battle log of event was made. Caller lost his credits to call.

Players were stuck in combat for arond 2 minutes, resetting and clearing localization did not help. It is like we never called the Armada, but the call tokens are gone.

First option is always to submit a ticket in game or via email. Yes, support is slow, we know. But that's how it is
While support was slow my shield dropped and I was raided for 144mil parsteel 69 mil tritanium and 41 mil dilithium

At this point I can understand being behind. But to neglect and fail at both- the customer aspect & any attempt to support . The position is no longer Customer Support... Might as well use a bot. Or just have a huge middle finger image show up when you press “contact us”

I noticed your tech support is in INDIA and that explains a ton when they come back at you with some off the wall resolution or keep asking the same questions multiple times.
I am a CTIO for a major company in he United States and I would rank SCOPELY CSR or TSR (customer / technical support) probably about the lower tier of global comparable Customer or Technical Support Representatives and or Departments as a whole.
I would suggest hiring UNITED STATES CUSTOMER/TECHNICAL SUPPORT employees to handle your CSR/TSR issues. There is nothing more frustrating for your customers to find that these departments are about as much help as dropping your device in the TOILET!
Furthermore, when your customer demand to speak with management, THEY SHOULD FACILITATE THAT AN ESCALATE AS NEEDED.
On Server 26 I can't tell you how many people think that SCOPELY is nothing but a customer service JOKE!
Better rethink you business model, because what you have now ISN'T WORKING!

Please fix the recall bug that's been in the game for a few weeks now
It's annoying for it to disappear, but it also ignores my recall cancellation
My game keeps getting stuck at 35% loading, tried force stop and reboot of phone but still happens. Other apps working normally.
The selection bugs made double tapping work even less reliable
and that's taking into account that I've attacked people accidentally via double tap before

our server seems to have gotten struck with an influx of trolls that seem to just go around gc talking smack and inciting issues but when blocked or marked kos they simply change names/alliances and with that the block sometimes glitches and you see their stupidity again lol
Has anybody tried a standard uncommon Armada today? We had 50% power with staggered crews and got wrecked. On a 12 mill uncommon it took 3 times for us to defeat it with 6 mill power. Three energy weapons and two kinetics firing every turn
The kinetics are hitting at 200+k each

we did an 18mil with 4 ships ranging from 1mil to 1,4mil and no one died

Someone took out my trained fighter and yet I still got killed by one.
So I am unable to log into my account and need some help. After the update it wouldn’t let me reconnect to Game Center and now it is showing I’m connected but it is connected to the fresh start and not my original account. Any ideas?

I just lost the resources I should have gained from scrapping a level 30 Envoy... the scrap was ready, clicked it, it showed me the reward, and then I never actually received the resources... that’s an expensive error I don’t want to afford...

Im not sure you fully understand our abilities. I myself raised the problem the moment reports came in and took all info I could. Was advised that players need to go through Customer support channels and that a fix would come (and it did, iOS update came out)
If you’re still having problems you still need to go through CS to rectify the account issue
We don’t work for Scopely, we don’t do official comments or statements on issues because frankly it’s not our job

I understand as well this is a game, but we paid real money and its their business where they make profit, so should be taken care of accordingly.

You can touch anywhere within 3/4 of an inch to a base and it will automatically jump to it. Which ruined any accuracy or ability to do fast PvP without accidentally cracking a base instead of the ship.
Also, dozens of people have noticed that you often have to scan and then attack a miner to clear it off of a zero node, trying to directly attack causes the button to lock up grey

Turn the sensitivity to jump to bases and things down, as mentioned. You can tap anywhere in this ring and it will jump to a base before a ship. It's destroyed PvP.

Targeting is not working properly, send the battle ship or whatever ship I use totally past and then doesn't lock have to reboot then by the time that's done I get killed by hostiles all it does is cost me time and resources I shouldn't be .please fix this problem that would be nice.thx
Shows warp as increased number + increase on warp engine upgrade.
From my side I understand it like shown number will be increased with green number.

New armadas only have 7 min countdown and will let you start one even if your too far away so people lose directives

@tired breach check your battle log, happened to me a few times as well. You win but your ship gets destroyed as well
@swift iris, in round 5 my Shields depleted, but according to the battle log I wasn't destroyed. However, the hostile was destroyed in round 8.
Kirk boosts your hull during combat, after combat is done, the boost goes away, if that leaves your hull at zero, then the ship is destroyed.
Ahhh, that makes sense. I've noticed that my Strength is 95k/96k, but during battles it's 101k.

If i equip Moreau, Pyke and cadet scotty on a ship, I boost the warp range bonus of scotty, due to the captain ability of pyke. However, if I want to travel to a system that has the max warp range of my ship now, the jump animation gets canceled after 3 secs
....any idea why?
@native oyster because pike increases attributes in combat so in combat your warp range is higher, but you can't warp while in combat.
So warp increase is just as is on scotty maxes at 5 at max lvl.
But then it displays a false warp range in my ships attributes. It says my bortas has warp 53. I want to travel there and after a few secs the warping animation is cancelled... so i cant travel to warp 53

Yes. It displays an incorrect number. The client is calculating bonuses to abilities that Pike does not actually work on, and these are then corrected when the server does the final calculations and checks. Hence you start to warp and then it stops when the server refuses.
And don't say stats, abilities. Stats are something else 😋

There are several abilities where you'll get the same issues: client displays increased abilities, server rejects them.

Essentially everything outside of combat will not be increased by Pike.
The real problem is that they need to update the descriptions in the client to reflect the server settings, or change the server settings to match the client. Either will do 🙄
But this has been an issue for months,.
But they finally fixed Marcus ability, it now increasing shield piercing, whereas b4 it was increasing armor piercing

My assumption is that pike is working how the want, just the client has the wrong settings. Similar to their issue with repair costs and times that they just could not get right.. until finally just pushing it to the server.

Although it took a while, and I was po'd, I eventually got my game back. You have to be patient. There are so many tickets, and with Covid, probably limited staff.

@swift iris Just my game name: CaptEMT, sending the message from the affected phone, and a copy of a receipt for an in game purchase. The next day, that had an update, and that solved the problem. However, it didn't work for everyone. You're on an iOS, yes?
@gray mist yep almost 2 days now, can’t use the paid battlepass, so really expecting some compensation, to be honest, never experienced such slow CS

@swift iris It's due to Covid; likely limited staff, hence the long turnaround time. If you haven't done it, DO NOT uninstall and reinstall. If you did, hopefully it will still be ok. Keep contacting them, maybe 1 or 2 times per day. You don't want to hound them; try to be as cordial as possible. Also, except for the compensation pack they posted, you're not likely to get resources back. Amw gibberish about game continuity or similar wording.

New bug - Can't select any open space near a base/node. It auto select the base or node for you from mile away making it impossible to park a ship next to a base or node. Also if there are ships covering a base it really hard to select the base right now since it just randomly auto selecting stuff for you.
Purchased items in the augment store... took my resources and didn't give me the purchased item... gave me a message saying error to purchase
was a lag spike for me, was able to do so a min or 2 later
