There's little to no skill involved here. I think you want counter strike or something. Tapping red/yellow/blue triangles and raiding absent minded shielders isn't skill based

at higher levels it becomes skill and strategy, more so just strategy, very little skill involved in this game, which would be great if they added more skill based mechanics
But honestly, it would be more fun to have more higher levels and get more around the same range of strength so we can have fun PVP
we're spending money to basically sit there without anything fun to do, because raiding becomes pointless, costs more to raid than what you get in return.
Events aren't balanced fairly, the ranges between levels are too extreme, making lower levels always lose
There's a way to make the whales, free to play, and all the players in between happy with the game, but Scopely just won't do it because they think they're getting more money doing this current strategy with events and the cash store. Where they would make more money selling packs that are more worth it and aren't just a few incompetent whales would ever buy.

The current $99.99 packs are worth half that, so make those $49.99 and add new $99.99 packs that are over double that, that would make it worthwhile to many more players, and the whales will eat it up anyway.

Make alliance events that are achievable and for ranked alliance events, make them based around alliance level and/or alliance power.

More ships at the current shipyard levels, instead of just 1 from each faction, give us some varieties, the hijacked ships don't count, those are just the same ships with a different texture (a poorly created texture, literally just added a blended layer of cracks on top and a multiply layer for shading some sections). I'm talking about new ship designs, different ship abilities, preferred crews, etc..
- Make Armada's more available, not having any Armada's around because they're all waiting to respawn is so lame and a huge waste of time, you'd sell more armada packs if we could just run more without all the achievable ones being taken everywhere
- Add in new hostiles, systems where there's a goal, like an armada, but where you have to create a team first, then you attack swarms of hostiles, like zombies in Call of Duty, heck, add in repairing defenses on objects in the system, etc..

Just here to say how lame and stupid the support service of this game is.
But scopely, as a company only interested in profit and 0 concern for players, is being a bit blind on how to get more income... Just get rid of all support team, a computer can make the damm auto replies and total uncaring mode to us players as well or better than actual ppl can.
And as for the game updates.... How is it possible a developer team after each patch and expansion, besides adding new bugs, can improve older ones but never Fixe them.... This was a great game great possibility fun.... Now only playing because of all the "friends" made in it.... Such a shame

ok if you go into your alliance page and into rewards. it says buy chests to share with all alliance members. when we click the store button at the bottom of the page and buy a reward with our credits. not everyone gets a reward.is this broken or are we doing something wrong.

The way the iss jelly and darkspace is handled now is not what is best for this game. I have a player in my alliance who still needs half the bps for the jelly but has maxed out at ops 40. He can no longer progress in this game. Scopely needs to figure out a better way to help these players progress as instead of spending more money to continue to darkspace he’s thinking of hanging it up. Scopely is losing out on more revenue then gaining by this event

why are amradas called uncommon, rare, epic, there is no common armada already like in asia, there is no 4th floor. But even if you are on the 5th floor you are still on the 4th floor. And you aren't battling an epic armada it's just a rare, but they aren't very rare if they are everywhere.

I want to know definitively if the people that make the rewards for all the events, hostiles, armada targets, special armadas etc etc, have ever actually spent a chunk of time trying to progress in this game.
I can guarantee you that if they did spend just 1 month, with a head start on a half upgraded, leveled ops 28 with average amounts of rss and mats to upgrade, all these rewards would be far higher than the bread crumbs we normally receive.

I still do not understand why the event grouping has not been done on the Borg events. The only events that seem to be grouped right now are the dailies and the Rules of Acquisition events. I believe that it would be a lot easier to navigate event requirements if all events were grouped rather than just some of them. It is very confusing having to scroll past all of the Borg events to get to the dailies and then tap on the dailies to scroll through those again to see the 6- and 12-hour events.

I’ve been sitting with this loading screen for like 5 mins and have tried almost everything from switching between 3G/4G to restarting my iPhone... the game works fine on wifi but why can’t it just work on mobile data? Why is it that only STFC won’t work but every other game I’ve ever played on my phone work just fine on mobile data? I can’t always sit in one house/office with wifi...

Unfortunately if you’ve tested it with WiFi but it’s hit and miss on your 4G connection it’s likely a routing issue between your carrier/provider and Scopely servers
That’s not necessarily something that Scopely has control over
Especially if it’s an isolated incident

I don’t think the servers can handle the load. I put the in game freezing and random bases popping up down to the scripts attached to the rigidbody’s.

From RoI point of view, it makes sense to just participate in milestone events rather than lb events.

Why do they try to get us to buy packs for ships that we already own? Nobody needs 2 Vi'Dar, or 2 Mayflower, or 2 D3. How about offering the packs for ships that we are trying to get. and How about not offering packs for research that I have already completed, or Armada starter packs when I have 6 levels of Armadas under my belt. Scopely needs to hire someone intelligent.
There are currently 43 packs available in my store and not one of them is worth anything to me as they are offered.

That isn't how players refer to a loved addition to the game.
Transwarp tokens were a TERRIBLE idea - right up there with officer badges.
At some point you are going to have to admit these are mistakes and remove them - if for no other reason than to make room for new mistakes in the future. 😉

@tame sphinx lol, but burning works as intended! It is super stupid, but it makes sense.... when nero procs burning, it lasts for 2 rounds. The round it procs it (regardless of which shot), the ENTIRE ROUND counts as round 1 of 2. STUPID, but working as intended.
Also, burning "dot" cannot be refreshed until it fully ends. Again, as intended.

You need to create some dedicated 39/40 systems without the usual 38 spawns. There's like 1-2 systems per faction where everyone from lvl32-40 goes to kill their faction dailies, and everyone is too lazy to kill the 38s that spawn, meaning every single time you go to do your daily it's a chore where you end up killing over 50 38s just to make your 39/40s spawn.

The last time we had a swarm event it was a leaderboard where a lv 34 was competing with a lv 29! and though they changed it in the following day's event, we get no compensation for not being able to compete

Dear scopely, I suspect many players will be excited to bump Armada Control Center to lvl30 .. to start a 5 seater .. please fix the bug where you have to restart your app before it becomes a 5 slot armada after updating the building. If a ship is out of your station when you update to ACC30, and is responsible for determining how many seats, perhaps it should learn via subspace signal it is now authorized to do a 5 seater. Thanks!

mining nodes won't help. there will never be enough nodes. not to mention, by now, people are set in their ways. if you merge two servers with a different culture, there will be epic wars and people will quit in droves cause they can't get mining done, and you're back to where you started, dead servers
server merge shouldn't be across the board, just as a last resort to save near-dead servers from dying

given the universe transfer tokens work well, I suspect a player might arrive in another universe ok. The thing I'm most curious/concerned about is preserving the alliance level some have spent over a year leveling up ..
... so if there's any opportunity to give feedback to scopely I'd love it to be "please keep in mind the preservation of alliance levels when merging servers" 😉

@delicate sentinel I don’t know where they are getting under populated from. In server 41 if you move your base todo an event you have to have a filler take it immediately or you’ll be stuck in the middle of nowhere. There’s not an empty node for mining below pjem

Ok .....probable unpopular opinion....with the discussion about server merges, why not separate to different servers pay 2 win players and Grinders. I can't imagine anything more off putting to potential players than spending a lot of time building and upgrading ships, base improvements, gathering RSS to increase strength and so on only for someone who has the money to just buy everything to increase multiple levels in days to raid them until they lose everything.
I know its a PvP game but when the odds are so skewed towards players who are able to pour hundreds into it each month then there is no real point in playing and its far easier to delete the game instead of continuing.
I'd also say that the level system is odd in that level 40+ players can raid down to level 26, isn't this completely unfair to lower players as they have no chance at all.

So, I guess some servers have events that are "heroic" events... are all servers supposed to have that? For example, for me (ops 29) on server 18, I get upgrade ships events that reward lots of ore, but I still get the normal "old" station and research events that reward a pittance of uncommon materials for an extraordinary cost. Right now, if I increase power by 7k through research, I can get 2 uc of each. The amount of research I have to speed up and spend on to complete the "cheap" version of this is crazy. I have heard there are "heroic" versions, but have not seen them yet.....

Ok here it is 3rd complaint. Bout lat button for fix ships not needing reconfirm button I’ve lost over 1000 lat due to this brush against no recourse button in 3 weeks and I’m passed off. I had rss and speed ups to fix ship but no another 350-400 lat goes from the coffers . Just about had it with this game . And whilst I don’t spend much I interact with guild and an on almost every day to add to others enjoyment of this game . Enjoy no customers

The game has been super glitchy all night tonight. From screen freezing, very slow action, having to reboot the game, to bases either being in 2 places at once or missing from their systems without moving them, and my ships either missing from a system or disappearing altogether in the middle of a battle. Other players gave reported tge same issues to me. I am not the only one who is thoroughly disappointed in the quality of the game for the amounts of money some of us have invested in it. Just fix whats there without trying to put more bells and whistles in it.

Nothing has been said about timeframe or anything. Panic has said that only low pop/low activity servers would be considered for merging. So if your g3 nodes are all empty, and you only have 3 alliances on your ALBs, then you'll probably see merges.

In a podcast done 1 1/2 months ago they said within 60 days that time is up in less then 2 weeks so a timeframe was announced. They now want all the teams that have been grouped into this common server to participate Under the following conditions.
Petition (related to the topic):
Based on the current system, it was thought to have pirates on KoS.
Now obviously there are a lot alliances who don’t follow that as an directive.
My propasal is following:
- Create a rule that says, following the RoE requires active work against any declared pirate.
- Define “active work against pirates”:
- fighting if possible
- sharing positions and attacks always
- Neutrality (RoE with pirates) punished for example as followed:
- no RoE-council-cases accepted
- noone obliged to help with pirate attacks
- Treaties with pirates (NAP) for example punished like this:
- immediate pirate status for the time the treaty excists.
- at treaties end, normal status with required proof of “active work against pirates” (Screenshots etc)
- And 4. Obviously require a proper proof, that can be verified point_up
(Measures and punishments are just an idea, up to the council to set up the proper ways for it)
Fact is, there needs to be a clear directive on how to deal with pirates and if it is punishable to have treaties... else it will drive wedges between us all!!!

Hi there, yesterday I maxed my first D’vor by bringing it on T9. Beforehand I upgraded all parts (of course). Now the refinery stopped producing D’vor parts although I have a second one (not maxed) as the game provides the opportunity to get more than one D’vor.
Feedback: it’s now very hard to receive further D’vor parts to further lvl the ships. Even the packs in the shop are limited. That’s hard to understand.
Question: is this by intention or somehow going to be fixed/changed in the (near) future?

I'm starting to get a bit pissed off.....I'm just wondering when the VI'DAR I purchased with real money is going to be fixed as it is visually displeasing and your game is all visual. I'm not the only one with this problem, I have noticed. It seems all the players that purchased that ship are having the same issue. If you can't fix it then delete it from my game and refund my money for the ship and the upgrade pack I also purchased for it. Consumer Law in Australia states if a product you have paid for does not perform the way it's supposed to you are entitled to a replacement or a refund. I am awaiting your reply.

There should be no limit on them as they will be pumping directly into resources. This would make dead bases still an active part of the game as they will once again become raid targets. It will also give players more of an incentive to come back after being raided, as they know they’ll “generate X” in resources in a day.

@tawdry hemlock The way warp works is a bit complicated... You see there is a warp range between two systems. So, if you are in system A and want to go to system B, who's warp range is 5, then you need a warp range of 5. If there is a system C that connects to B, and if that has warp range of 6, it means you need warp range of 6 if you need to travel between B to C. In the screenshot you posted, the warp range between Wolf and Babel is 47, but warp range between Feqiiep and Babel is 40. Think of it like your ship is a frog which can jump 40 cm. And the systems are rocks/leaves on a lake. If your ship cannot jump 47cm, you isstead take another route which requires jumps that are less than 40 cm.

the warp idea really warped because in the TV programs they could never go faster than warp 9.97 at warp 10 they nearly fazed out of time. Transwarp could move you through years of space while only doing warp 2 so these warp requirements just silly lol

my point is that the fed bias is stupidly out of control. The augur should have built in burning like the big e has built in never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down shields. Problem is that the Augur relies on burning and with Nero only lasts for two rounds,if it fires, and most other rom officers rely on burning for their capabilities. It's a stupid single point of failure in the ship/crew capabilities. Whereas fed OP officers are unfortunately what you have to use in order to kill fed ships. Why can't scopely also make OP non-fed crew or build in burning on the augur? @robust helm Yes I can use non rom crew and have to most of the time, which to me just seems lazy from a crew building and game dev perspective.

@robust helm you cant deplete T4+ Ents shields if he has Kirk. One of the best crew to use against that Ent would be either Kirk/Spock/Nero or Kumak/Nero/Djaoki(but DJ needs to be T4+)

As Phil said,it only takes a few mins to finish your daily mining for credits in fac store. It is much better than before!
You had to spend 10-30mins or more depending on how your bb was upgraded. Now it is only a few mins

Best way to make everyone happy would be to have a mix of both. Small nodes with super fast mining speed and large nodes with slow mining speed IMO

in the time it took my BB to mine out 200k and bug out 3 nodes my ship got back to station.. its nice and all but 3700 is waaaaay to small never midnt he other nodes at 100 for the other nodes.

Are the data node capacities correct? Looking at them, the largest seems to be 3.5k. This makes data mining pretty difficult as my miner mines data at 1.3m/hr.

Horrible upgrade for data nodes. I understand that if you want to implement the concept of “active mining” (not too bad as an idea) you have to make it proportional: objectives should be able to be done in one single run (protective cargo prevents that), the same way we can tier up our ships and be able to do all hunting objectives in one run!
If I have to refresh every 10-15 sec I wouldn’t mind if after 10-15 min I’m done, which I’m not because of my protected cargo and the amount of data demanded in augment store

I have to agree with most comments here, i find the changes to data mining now a rather negative experience. As a lvl 31 (f2p) player i have gone through the hard work of grinding my BB to max lvl, put in the effort to get TenofTen and i only have my data mining research on lvl 3, i am now expected to refresh the Yarda data node every 9 seconds! Who in their right mind would think that this is a good idea! I keep checking if it has gone back to April 1st, this is a very bad joke.

Decreased node size is terrible. 8 secs to empty nodes. More nodes available is great.
You literally can't do anything else due to how quickly it zeros out.
On the plus side 390k cargo filled up in under 30 minutes.

Really dislike the “active mining” concept. I think you have devalued any player’s investment in maximizing a Botany Bay ship, augment Officer Joaquin, and the Borg tribble. I was mining the largest node of green data that was 50 K in about 8 minutes. We players put up with less than perfect execution in this game all the time, but this is an example of someone solving a problem that did not exist. I play and invest a lot - now I am a very upset customer.

If that is the intent, you are going about it all wrong. People are going to get bored of this very quickly. There is little to no cost either way.
If you want PVP let alliances really go to war, and when they go to war, KEEP SCORE.
Make killing a warship give vastly better drops than killing a miner does.
Make killing a warship give more PD than you do from a miner of equal power.
If you REALLY want to encourage PVP, give us a mechanism to tag individual players and keep score between two individuals.

I will say at first impression that I was not a fan of this. However after testing it out and seeing I am OK with mining rate and node size with decoded data. With decoded nodes being 3700 it means that to get to daily faction store of 71k you reset node 20 times. Not my favorite but I can deal. The corrupted to me is very frustrating though. The daily faction for corrupted is 9500. With the nodes being 100 it means that you have to reset a node 94 times each day. I realize that most players once they can get to decoded no longer utilize corrupted but resetting a node over 90 times a day seems excessive

Feedback? This downsizing of data nodes is just a joke. Mining is already boring and a neccesary evil, i don't want to wiggle my ship every 6 seconds to mine data. And while nodes are smaller, you need to work harder (like pay attention each 6 sec) to reset the node, the cost of everying in the augment store hasn't changed.
Getting an increase of 4 or 5x the current ammount of data would at least help keeping our sanity to reasonable level.
