Here is a suggestion. Think before you add things so you don’t have to keep yanking stuff back from players because you didn’t consider the consequences. It only makes people mad and makes players start considering the idea of quitting. I’m sick of how convoluted this game is because of the overly complicated new content and constant nerfing of things already in the game

I enjoyed Tournaments previously through all iterations. G4-g6. Would organize alliance awareness and participation.

Today is the first day I didn’t bother to refresh a task. I did the barest of minimum. Consequently, I have also told people to do what they want. Everyone that has tried this one hates it, logged out, played a different game. Others that would partially participate haven’t bothered.

More and more players are opting for other games.

So many started playing this because of the Star Trek IP. I’m finding that even their fandom come with limits. Like—

• completely nerfing enjoyable events
• having to wait weeks for officers to work again
• adding material and not adding any basic QoL
• constant lag
• focus on pushing animated shorts versus listening to player feedback

Players are quitting. And those players are successfully recruiting others to quit and archive.

I actually really enjoyed the game at first, but now I envy the players who said a year or two ago that it was getting too much and they weren't interested anymore. The events that helped players are being changed. And they're demanding more and more – pay here, pay there – just to make any progress. I think it's finally time, after all this time, to put an end to it. From my perspective, I'll keep an eye on it this month, and if nothing changes, I'll request its archiving next month. It's just a shame.

The mass exodus that is currently underway was very predictable and in true Scopley fashion you ignored it.
The game state has been unstable and requires regular restarts. The bug list keeps getting longer with no relief in sight. Numerous errors and MASSIVE lag during game play. The rewards for events continues to decline. Needed items to advance are made hard to get for free players and poor value to those who buy packs. Anything the players use to get ahead is systematically taken away. I could go on, but the point is Scopley continues to alienate the players who pay their bills.

The game was already rapidly trending towards poor value for the players. Players have not been happy for a long time, but stayed because they like the core game and subject matter. Scopleys decisions have made it clear that the only thing that you are interested is squeezing every penny using your flawed economic model. Its flawed because of cost of packs and that they are a poor value. Not everyone is going to spend $100 for a game pack, but more people may buy lesser priced packs.

So now Scopely you decide to start changing events in further in your favor. The new Alliance tournament is a another example. Very little communication prior to rolling out the new event, which is now essentially a pay to play event. You took another thing the players liked and twisted it into something they don’t want to participate in.

That being said, Scopley you still have time to fix the game, but that time is dwindling. Many players like myself are waiting to see if you respond to the feedback and do something about it that makes us want to continue playing and spending money on the game. Tick Tock, Tick Tock…….😥

I'm ops 71 myself, I've got a tier 5 Vengeance so I can somewhat farm the new hostiles though it's frankly a massive pain, I used to buy the battlepass pretty much every month, occasionally invested in new ships, buildings or a resource pack if I felt like it. Right now I'm simply done with spending in this game and I'm even starting to not even bother doing my dailies or pulling all I can from the refinery or faction stores because of how infuriating the monetization is and how little rewards I get for the time I invest in the game ...

I am writing to formally communicate my decision to cease all play and financial support of Star Trek Fleet Command at the conclusion of this arc. Having dedicated significant amount of time, money and energy to this game over the last four years, this is not a decision made lightly, but it is one necessitated by a consistent pattern of institutional failure and a product that has been a "lemon" for a long time now.

The primary driver for this departure is the complete breakdown of trust. We were promised a shift toward "Quality over Quantity" in 2025; however, the execution has been a giant slap to the face of every player. Rather than delivering a polished experience, you have continually released broken products on top of an already tragically broken foundation. There is zero innovation in new features or hostiles, and rather than evolving, content and rewards that the community actually enjoys are being stripped away to favor aggressive monetization and the removal of player choice.

Regarding community health, the lack of accountability is unacceptable. Despite repeated reports of toxic behavior, the response from management has been performative. Bad actors routinely find ways around chat and game bans, signaling that Scopely isn't actually trying to solve the problem; it is simply a hollow gesture of effort that solves nothing.

Furthermore, there is a total lack of transparency and communication. Despite public assurances from the General Manager, there has been no follow-through. You have refused to listen to the player base or implement the changes we—the community—want to see. While I have made great friends playing this game, I do not need this platform to stay in communication with them. I love the IP and the community, but those are no longer enough to overcome the failures of Scopely.

At this point, I don't know why any player would want to keep spending money on a broken game. After today's arc being another fiasco, I am not spending a single cent before I leave for good. I hope many more do the same, as hitting the bottom line is the only way the game will ever be fixed.

Give me a reason to stay. Show me that the management and dev teams are truly listening and—more importantly—taking action. We have heard "we're doing stuff behind the scenes, bear with us" for far too long while the experience only gets worse. Unless there is immediate, visible change, I see no path for my return to a game I was once very passionate about.

One of the people I’ve known for a long time through the game was on the most recent cruise with trek cast, and was able to actually talk to Jonathan Frakes, and chose to use most of his time to talk about the actual game. He was horrified and asked why this guy still played it, only answer was because he loved Star Trek and it has so little game representation, and he had hope they (Scopely) would finally do right by Star Trek and its fans at some point.

I can get 216k a day from refining raw trit to sigma trit, let's just say it was 51T regular trit, I should get back 1.02m sigma trit, instead I get 819.8k sigma trit, and 8.6T regular trit, that still doesn't equal the refinery conversion math in any way, as a minimum

Also, it is alliance tournaments, and since 10k f2p tasks have been nerfed, I took 3 AT tasks that are armada based... I was NOT trying to do the MACO artmada events and SLBS!!! THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!!! But your analytics will say I must have liked them as I am in first for both SLBs and finished both SMSs very quickly. Context matters. G5 should NOT be in remedial areas of the game, yet here we are.

They should have enough feedback from multiple players here, the VIP server, and CC streams. If they aren't listening to those complaints and issues being brought forth already, I shouldn't have to spell it out for them again, because they aren't going to care about anything other than us taking our wallets and walking away.

Just as an example, last year @royal solar came on the private server, promised she'd listen to the players and respond to every question she was asked, guess what, she didn't do what she said, and the complaints have kept piling on from there. I've got a example for scopley, a game that actually listen to their player base and is successful.

Minecraft, they added sulfur cubes (similar to slimes) but you can place blocks into them. One very requested block to be added that wasn’t originally, tnt.

Now we can make bombers with payloads and bring tnt very eaisly (before it required a flying machine that may break at random)

They also nerfed sulfur caves, making them effectively non existent. Players weren’t happy

Mojang did a complete 180 on that, sulfur caves are no longer nerfed

Oh, absolutely. In a conversation going on, on the VIP server, I just said this, and before someone says it's a brag, it isn't, just making a statement.

I've been sitting at 73 for almost 5 months now waiting to get the rare ore needed to upgrade my operations building, still short about 10k, and been sitting a month waiting to upgrade one component on my Praefortia while waiting on uncommon gas which I need another 6k for.

I've averaged spending 60-100 grand a year for 3.5 years and guess what, they aren't getting that back, they aren't even getting a cent. They have lost my wallet forever unless they were to do something absolutely ridiculous to make me want to spend again.

And I'm a small whale, there are much bigger whales than me nnot spending, IstioCat (maybe archived? Haven't seen them since the first month of g7), PandaPirate, Evo (archived), DarthHaywire (the only ops 77 currently) said they might be going that way as well, but you get the idea. That money isn't easily replaceable.

I'm currently 66, struggeling to crawl to 70 (some people recommended to camp at 71 but that’s not the point rn), i spend effecfively nothing over 4 years. If stfc end tomorrow, fine i had fun. Not losing much. (I added up what i spent in total, 600 usd)

I can’t imagine how/why some people spent more than 1k on stfc but that’s not the point either. Scopley is taking whatever i and many others mostly f2p or f2p players got up to very recently. If it continues like that, i don’t see why we should keep playing as f2p base.

And i don’t see people spending on that buggy mess anymore

Yeah, it really depends on your level of addiction. We spent to advance quickly, I was ops 66 in January of 24. My crew level is 8100, I have every none pro FT maxed, only brand new research for recent released ships/factions left, that's what we spent for, we wanted to complete stuff and be powerful, for me it didn't even have anything to do with pvp, just was enjoyable for me.

Granted, my mental health was in a really bad place and this was something that at least made me happy, so maybe now that it isn't and that my mental health is in a fantastic place, it's easier to stop spending with this nonsense.

The game is no different than gambling, most gatcha games aren't, they are taking advantage of addiction for many people

I went from being a six to seven a night heavy drinker three years ago, to I only go out and drink once every few months now (I have never drank at home), I gave up on dating & sex thirteen years ago because of my mental health and I'm a hell of a lot happier alone, and now I'm giving up my Star Trek addiction.

Lots of stability issues this morning. I mean more then is normal with this game. Crashes, blaming internet connection, large pink segments of space, freezes. The normal things but more often. Day 10 of the arc and we have not had a problem free day yet. We have also not had any form of communication about this or compensation for our wasted time restarting the game.
Add in the Leslie nerf.
Then look at the overly dramatic changes to AT. Destroying the rerolls, diluting the 10k tasks, adding in a new 20k task, removal of the choice tokens. A staged introduction one step at a time to see what each change would impact may have been a better method.
This is on top of the added loops from every arc when we have been promised lower screen time. We have not had loops archived in a while. And even then we have to save up the materials to archive an arc so that also adds extra time.

I was an Ops 71 from s63. For a long while I thought they could turn things around, though with each passing month it seemed harder and harder to believe. In the last couple of months they've pushed incredibly hard to change the game, but unfortunately, it was in the complete opposite direction. 😆 There is just such a long, long list of broken things to fix, imbalances that aren't even on their radar to address, etc. that I finally believe stfc is beyond saving. Maybe if another company bought it and invested properly into it, but I doubt that would be a profitable enough venture for anyone to do.

I can't help but rubberneck at the trainwreck. Each day brings a new 'sorry this isn't working, we're aware' post. Each day brings no fixes, no improvements, no QoL changes, no rebalancing of events/refineries/loops. Still laggy and buggy as all 💩.

They really made it easy this month to finally leave, and now that I have I really do wonder what took me so long. My alliance was awesome, and my server (63) was also great, but this company did not deserve my dedication for as long as I offered it. I feel for those still plugged into the Matrix, either those working there or those trying to play a failing product by a careless company. The players, @tidal notch, @raw fiber and many of the dev team all deserved better.

There are so many ways they could improve the events system to make it rewarding for the players. Its just lazy, uninspired slop these days. Copy/paste events, copy/paste hostiles, copy/paste officers. New mechanic that prevents you from killing red dot, officer and/or ship and/or tech that overcomes mechanic. Reward currency unlocks more mechanic-overcoming abilities. Yawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn...

Its why I think the game is dying. Even things that their psychologists would tell them are good for the game aren't being done. Stuff that hurts players... and also hurts the company. This is one of the only games I’ve come across that doesn’t give higher level players any sort of acceleration on something to get them actually to the minimum place they need to be for a new thing.

If you expect a lvl 71 to go out and start walloping a new enemy at 71, minimum, for events and loop progression, you should at least bake in that they immediately get the new building or ship or whatever at the minimum needed level to allow for that.

Nah, just make it costlier in packs, to heck with those people who actually supported you monetarily already.

A lot of higher ops stopped buying into these loops the past months because they have felt punished for having gotten bigger. It takes far more time or far more money to just get those loops off the ground.

Apart of Scopely totally messing up AT, They put unrealistic goals for upgrade New Academy building. You can easily upgrade Academy as low 60 player while L70 will be sitting on L1 for long time. When you hit 70 you have same 16b cube and it take you few weeks to get epic and upgrade it to T6 to get cube to like 25b. Still Doesn't really help much with Academy chests because on 70 you really need like maxed T18 Epic or slightly upgraded Vengeance to hit higher level academy hostiles to grind those 95k loot for single chest, and get there might take a year unless you are really heavy spender.

Same thing with current conqueror borg heroic, targets are unrealistic for L70, you need 12.92k points and getting 377 for L62 and 610 for L64. Problem here is you NEED strong all 3 type of ships which is not the case for most of players. And doing 35 L62 armadas, not possible because you are limited by directives. On Academy hostiles you are limited by tokens so even if you want to grind it up, you cant. I don't expect higher level ops having it easier, but should be at least comparable.

Whats a point of L61 upgrading academy in 1 day where L70 need month or few? Answer is most likely just force higher ops to buy more packs just to upgrade Academy to like L50 to be able grind Academy hostiles loot slightly faster. And same thing with new "improved" but right word is nerfed AT.

Last time Scopely did real quality of life was with Exborg, reducing grind needed significantly but here we got again to point where amount of grind is way worse than before Exborg update (Yes there are archives, but most of us already done wit all stuff there so it didn't helped that much to reduce grind).

Game is loosing players because Scopely I taking out fun parts of game and getting it more difficult without really adding more player perceived value. As well as making game exhausting by just daily activities taking more and more time.

So... I compare the BP devaluation to raising the price of a stamp right? Once the baseline price/value ratio moves, everything above it adjusts. The danger is not just this one pass. It changes the buyer's relationship with the whole store:

Old mental model: "BP is the reasonable spender anchor."
New mental model: "BP is no longer trustworthy as baseline value."

Once that anchor breaks, spending becomes much easier to stop because the game has trained you to inspect every offer as a hostile negotiation instead of a fun convenience.

The more critical version: this is exactly how mobile games lose moderate spenders. Whales may keep buying, free players keep playing free, but the "I'll buy the monthly pass because it feels fair" group is the one most sensitive to perceived fairness. If that group feels nickel-and-dimed, they do not usually downgrade gracefully; they often hard-stop spending.

and, the whales are even jumping ship like.. you've lost two core spender groups.. and I've only been playing for a bit over 90 days. And I spent. More than I have paid for any other game.

I am aware Scopely will probably want to see positive feedback. NEWSFLASH, with the released content the last months its IMPOSSIBLE to find anything positive at all.
Removing every single choice option and replacing them with gamble like features (with extreme low win chance) is not just dissapointing its insulting. After playing stfc for over 7 years i fail to see anything positive anymore and are close to quitting all together.
Removing and changing cota, choice tokens, officer depot tokens and changing battlepasses, alliance tournements and events in 2 months is way to much to handle.
By example ALL 20k tasks can only be done by 2 packs of 100 euro, this is crazy. Replacing the old reroll tokens and adding tasks is making finnishing Impossible.

oh that is 100% the whales are targeted heavily for their cash and with current content it feels like the ftp players are targeted to only do the crumbs of content we're given. The 1 thing they shouldn't have changed for example is the refresh tokens and refresh tokens in tasks. Yes add new tasks 10k and 20k make them paid thats fine. Though changing the tokens and not having tokens in the tasks makes it so they turned a system that rewards patience and planning into a system that welp I ran out of refresh tokens guess I get to do tasks of 750 points and watch my alliance go down in rank. With all the tasks now in AT they could've left it as it was and just add the tasks and they prolly would've seen more revenue anyways just because of the new currency but they got greedy like usual.

I've gone from always at 60k in points after 2 days to 6k in points and no rerolls I'm not a spender at all and I haven't even seen the old ftp tasks in the list for 10k tasks I know they're there but I haven't seen them even after using my 3 tasks per day.

I especially like "Make sure your games aren't too skill based." at the end, there is no risk of that happening in this game as there's strictly no skill involved, very little luck as the odds are healivy packed against the players, so that only leaves grind & pay.

You guys followed that model to a T and we could bear it for a while because we could still somewhat grind our way through (as proven by the fact that I managed to reach G7 not too long after it was released) but updates 86 & 87 (v'ger) , 88 & 89 (tng first contact) and more importantly 90 (star fleet academy, a show almost everyone loathes) & 90.1 (alliance tournament devaluation) have completely skewed the progression towards pay.

Taking away our ability to reroll tasks and drowning what few free to play tasks where left after you took away choice tokens with an insane amount of pay to win "acquire" tasks to try to force us to spend more is not "deeper progression" it's regression, not "new ways to compete" as there's nothing new in forking out the cash and actually disengagin as proven by the large Numbers of high operations players who have stopped playing in the last few days.

This game's latest patch is a shameless monument to Scopely's corporate greed, laying bare the kind of predatory business practices laid out in the video I linked and that they no longer even bother to disguise.

Lets be honest. We did expect the returns to be small. I know it is going to sound like I'm being vitriolic, but I'm getting somewhere with all this.

Why is the small rewards not a surprise? Because they openly admitted that they could have put it in the game a long time ago, but it would have been too beneficial to players. They didn't word it that way exactly, but that's how we all read it. The generous interpretation for this is that there is contempt for the player base.

That contempt was prominently revealed in how the scrapping rewards are balanced. We all know that balance and numbers are the easiest and quickest changes that can be made broadly. This isn't an argument but a statement of fact.

Having efficiency (a lot of which is paid content) give you less rewards is a philosophy of contempt.

Now, had the formula been some really small number, and your efficiency values would rather increase the yield to the exact same number that players across the game are currently getting, there would have been no change to the given materials from g5 scrapping, but you would have had happier players.

I have access to way better games I used to play. I like MMO’s that are PvP oriented with PvE. Elder Scrolls online I can just switch on my Xbox and immerse myself in an open world sandpit with fantastic graphics, gameplay, lore,community. How do you tell the difference between a bug and a bad design decision when there are so many bad design decisions (if it hasn't been fixed, it is now part of the design). The "temporal conduit" task, for instance. Someone says they aren't getting credit for the task, there's no way to figure out if they're doing it "wrong" or if there is yet another bug. So they drop the task, or waste directives, restart the game, maybe they get the points, maybe they don't.

I'm about done with this game. Everything is broken and has been for a long time, but things got even more broken a couple of months ago. And the horrendous lag and dropped actions. It is rather dull. The E-Pic shards I can use, so been doing the heroic milestones, but doing those puts me near the top of the RLB, without really caring about it. The repeat Georgiou mission was weird, I do actually read the missions, but realised that one I'd already done, so just sped through it. Syndicate rep would be useful if it was about ten times more, for an event, but even RLB giving 80K, which is barely more than DTI pays out a day.

Funny thing is they make events worse, but apart from Leslie and levle caps on some of the older officers they're pretty averse to making specific things 'worse', like when the Cube was beating Vengeances they didn't change the Vube, they just added more research to make Vengeance beat it, and in general when they make something strong they just add a new hostile with an even sillier new mechanic, rather than modify the original thing. So the end result is eternal crazy power creep.

I love this game, but let's be fair as well, the game has had lag for months, you must reset multiple times a day to keep it running, Events don't score properly, big changes come to incursions then they crash and burn the opening month and when they finally work its a snooze fest, they take away choice rewards, im sorry but I know way better what my account needs over what scopley thinks I need. They are eliminating officer choice tokens for a rng setup where we can get more chen shards vs what we really need. Now they have made alliance tournaments pretty much pay to play. Why? My ability to make choices has been limited. Curtailed. Removed. And replaced with a random number generator.

The choices I could make with the resources I could potentially receive from a g5 scraping have been limited to 3% after efficiencies have been added.

Which task I could do after a reroll is basically nonexistent.

What officer I get is now random again after the glorious freedom of choice.

How I spent my money on battle passes, either for an arc or just officers is limited to a mega bp.

And what resources and materials I received from a bp is now “evenly” distributed versus what I think I need.

I have lost my ability to choose and I hate it.

Rankings are the least of the issues. Events, both scoring and rewards being given have broken every day this week. Following on from weeks of unintending breaks to officers/ships/ stats/ abilities.

The gutting of all the rewards for ftp players across every aspect of the game

The destruction of every event that is considered to be good by the playerbase and ignoring all the rubbish

Simple fixes that used to work but suddenly dont take months (5 months for the gs beam fix for example)

Outposts:🤦... Honestly, I don’t even have the words. Truly a pinnacle of game design.

The Academy: What a complete dumpster fire. I’m sitting at Level 66, yet I can barely clear Level 61. The scaling for Level 62 is so absurd it’s basically science fiction. And then we get to the Refinery: you’re asking for 6k loot for a single chest (and what, 122k for three?). Meanwhile, the Reds are dropping a whopping 5 pieces of loot. Seriously, what kind of "math" are you guys doing over there? Am I supposed to be grinding until the sun burns out?

Instead of finally fixing the mountain of bugs so the game actually runs smoothly, you’d rather just shove in more useless content that half the players can't even touch. It’s a bold strategy to prioritize frustration over fun, I’ll give you that.

We all had a good chunk of leftover rerolls (I had over 2M myself ...) and the very limited number of rerolls those converted to combined with the now very reduced probability of getting f2p tasks (given the addition of a massive number of p2w "Acquire" tasks to the tasks pool) means that pretty much all we get are either "pay up" tasks or grind tasks (half of which I simply can't do as an Ops 71 player because there just isn't any hostiles of my level or higher, like Xindi for example ...).

I was gonna say the grind tasks reward nothing but given that the pay up tasks cost 100 or 200 €/£/$ one can argue that for that amount of money they reward nothing too.

I guess that's the main point for us players: over the last year Scopely has consistently destroyed the value of the time and money we invested in the game, so much that now it's not worth doing more than the bare minimum dailies and it's certainly not worth spending a single euro.

If you were G6 since the start of AT then yeah im sure you had alot of rerolls however anyone that was not G6 did not have them rerolls. they only were capable of completing a few tasks which gave additional reroll tokens.
I myself had only 250k rerolls to convert which was around 15 rerolls in the conversion so them 15+8 from the chest went instantly on day 1 because every task i refreshed changed into the exact same 2 tasks over and over
so once all your converted rerolls run out you will only have 8 rerolls per day from the chest which is on a 24 hour cooldown
Or paying £50 for a reroll pack which is a total waste of money because why pay for something which is giving nothing at all due to refresh "chance" giving you no guarantees that you will get any task you want.
Anyone planning to buy a reroll pack should send the money to me and i will put it to better use since getting reroll packs or sending me the money will give you exactly the same result in the game.

The entire general design of AT is bad, when they were first announced as a way to enhance and increase alliance gameplay I was pretty hyped as I like playing with my friends, but all it's ever truly been is more individual grind or pay. At least the f2p 10K tasks meant that we could get something useful out of it but now there's not even that left. ALBs and AMSs are more engaging than this 💩 .

The direction of the game might be dictated by Scopely, it doesn't mean that we have to silently accept it, especially when it obviously leads to the death of the game (-20% of players in a year ...).

I think in the staged interview, most of the answers were about Monopoly Go, their current cash cow. Neither the STFC or Marvel games were mentioned. The overall silence over the utter debacle of Patch 90 is telling. Scopely's focus is no longer on it's older products.

All that said, I agree with Rev in the video. I love this game, when it works. It's conceptually a game that could be like Blizzard, Riot, Square Enix or other long running franchises. Heck, EVO, STO and Baldur's Gate are still long running mobile games. But that's not Scopely's apparent business model.

If they went back to the way they were years back, giving free content not making FC unlocks require 4 packs, skins require multiple packs alot of the people that stopped playing and spending would be more then likely to come bac, after all thats why alot did leave.
but Scopley double downed, for the loss in revenue they decided to throw it more onto the remaining players pushing even more to breaking point. This was my limit so i'm out with this batch.
Scopley will double down again on the remaining making 8 packs to unlock FC slots or 4 packs to unlock skins / tech till and push out the ones that are still willing to spend with the current setup

It’s a mobile game but not Candy Crush Saga, Angry Birds etc . It’s way more in depth than that and perhaps one of the best games out there on App Store (forgetting bugs). Equally not quite good enough to release stand alone on Steam as a PC game and certainly not console standard.

The annoyance with “if you’re missing points put in a ticket” is upper level. With all of the events going on alongside alliance tournament, I don’t have time to keep track of the scoring. Most is unbelievably time consuming as it is. Spending 4-6 hours in game to only scratch some of the events is stupid.
