Janeway/annorax/seska or annorax/seska/tucker have been effective againts all 3 types of Vger hostiles.my Ent D is T11 and i have no issues if i use one of those 2 crews. you do NOT need a maxed g5 epic to go into g6 and be successful.

I really need G5 EPIC gas. I went to purchase the battlepass, because it comes with Choice Rewards Chips. However, the Choice Reward shop does NOT give G5 epic gas, only G5 epic crystals or ore. What gives? I am not going to buy a battlepass if it is missing exactly what I need!

Grinding for nothing is worse than wishing you grinded more. If you're left empty handed for the amount you grind then all that effort was wasted and loss of time without compensation. Time is the most precious of commodities in our current existence.

Unrealistic view, ops'ing up has its own set of problems especially if you don't have the research or ships and officers tier'd up. Having the right foundation before you build on top of it really matters. I kill people ops above me easily because they lacked the foresight to see they weren't ready. Proper planning and experience wins over quick short results in the long run. Not such an easy answer if you intend to look good for your ops after going up. All in due time. I'm usually telling others who sat at an ops too long to go up. The right time is when your research is good with officers and ships to match the show of strength. How we play matters 😜

An easy answer if I was ready for the jump. I could be dumb for a quick answer which isn't really a solution just a temporary thing for one aspect when I need to see the overall effect on my account. Yea i was doing good when i was lower ops but when i went 60 i could not keep up. Others already had bigger ships and their crew vs armadas were better than what i was running. I dont think they stopped it cuz people didnt like it. They just got lazy, it was a good event because the loot could be put to good use.

considering they are never running the events again... so people just have to spend down the resources they have... there is no disproportionate benefit ... especially since scopely told some content creators that if people dont spend down all the currency now they will simply extend how long the store is open... so eventually all the currency can be spent down... so why not enable sliders so people can spend it all now instead of slowly over 3-4 months... it makes zero sense at all, other then scopely is lazy.... just enabling the store is easier then adding a slider to every pull option

Very true, most people just push ops and lack power therefor they suffer in pvp,pve,armadas. I always camped 46,53,56,60 and i was always few ops lvl stronger than where ever i was at. Always taking advantage of being the strongest on the bracket helped out a lot. Even now at 63 im way ahead compared to others few levels up. Camping is the way to go if you just spend little every year.

but its a static amount of currency to spend... its not like people are going out today.. to grind 100k extra currency... wether it takes them 2 months or 2 days to spend down... its the same amount in the end... one way just creates frustration and annoys players that may decide to leave over it...

I've spent everything but the initial trade in which has more than the allotted time frame to trade in. Unless they make the trade in bigger or a slider or give more rewards to spend in other areas of the store your point still makes no sense

as everything else in the sarris stores are static price regardless of ops level so why would the scrap trade in have a variable value when the others dont? makes no sense

" These bundles will offer increased pulls per cooldown so you can convert Scraps more quickly." apparently.... every time you pull it it increases the pull amount each time you do it... so again why not just let someone pull infinately if your going to increase the amount they can pull every time it becomes available... just seems like a needless bottleneck

At 70 you probably have no use for that rare mirror rss. Only usefull is demarko,nsea parts and hull plating for ship favors for me at least. Snydi exp is so little its not worth it.

Few days , I've been pulling everyday and not too much has changed with the first pull. The second chest has but different currency, which in turn allows to spend in 3 other chests.

You pull in one area to get different currency to pull in another area, to once again get different currency to pull in 2 or 3 different areas. But the top amount is barely dented. Which for me is

Tbh slider or not.. the time frame with the pulls ain't depleting all 3.6B I have with the time frame they have insinuated. They can say they'll change the time frame and never do it. Me go G6 just for a little boost in rewards would screw up the rest of my game. Makes no sense no matter which way you put it. I don't need a slider, it would expedite a slow burn for supposed extension which still hasn't been guaranteed. If they want us to do one extra thing causing frustration already on a lengthy process of going through pulls with our free gifts, refineries, faction store, independent archives etc., etc. Fine let it be then, but don't leave us with another currency that is left in our items and redundant to never be used again. I love this game and will continue to play it always because I'm a big fan of Star Trek and also certain aspects of the game, mainly interactions with players. But I'm not everyone. Everyday players who spend and don't spend are getting more frustrated at a lot of game mechanics that has them quitting the game. I'd prefer easy, simple solutions for all where we as the player base don't need to be frustrated or go through hoops just for a solution that shouldn't be a hard ask for to begin with. I enjoy seeing results and feel when I come here things get done from the community managers within their means. I don't expect the world, I expect what is doable and what makes sense. The slow burn method for an aspect of the game which is dead. Doesn't make sense to me. So I am addressing it here. Once again thank you for showing me an alternative but it's just not going to work and make the game harder to jump to G6 for a few rewards and making my time to build in G6 much harder because I personally am not ready. I am getting snowed under with all the ships to upgrade at once. Just when I thought I was getting a little better another one comes out LOL. The problem is that by the time my ships are up to speed the events dont happen anymore. So far the worst ship to upgrade is the Defiant which i have been working on for a year. Still not maxed. I am the type of person, I have to max everything. I just love my ships.

To be honest, Ive NEVER used the Defiant to buff any solo Armadas. Another hideous loop that was created to sell an iconic ship to the rabid spenders. Done the Bajoran refinery every day since and its still only T9 going on T10, and no, never spent any real or game currency on the Ceramics - designed to take forever.

I like the change to a weekly outpost BP event. Hopefully everything works as planned. Hopefully you also source enough outpost directives to complete the battlepass.

I don't hate Outposts, though it is a bit of a hassle having 2 of my best ships tied up. Particularly when the benefits from the outpost do not strengthen the remaining ships to be as strong as my 2 best. Would be preferable if you shortened the time between waves by half maybe, but I understand the reason for the longer wave times, since the benefits from holding an outpost can extend to other ships. I just don't think those benefits outweigh losing the use of your 2 best ships for 6 hours.

I’m a good size 56. One 56 ship currently. Just getting my outpost building to 40 ( hopefully today ). Just looking ahead at outposts. Man, we don’t get enough plunder / medals. I can’t even upgrade one of these officers. I can clear 53s. I haven’t re-tried an elite 53 yet. Plan is to try a 56 first after I get another ship. How are smaller players supposed to prioritize this when it is so challenging, time consuming and costly. Is this content really made for 60+? I feel like this is a major slow roll to get sisko. Not sure how many slow rolls the game has left….. I was 39 when bajor came out. It took like 2+ years to max. Wondering how this one will play out, it feels a bit concerning ……

Actually, near as I can tell, I think that's been broken ever SINCE the bulk claims were introduced, it's just a LOT more noticeable now with some officers being obtainable in the refinery, as well as the Archives. I have to manually claim the Botany Bay's archive since I have ALL of those officers fully claimed. Borg Solo Armada redeems in the Borg refinery have to ALSO be individually claimed because MOST of those officers are fully claimed as well.

It also appears that there is a SINGULAR workaround to this, and that is simply "if the bulk claim you're doing ONLY affects one refinery tile"

I am ops 59 with a level 50 OCC, with a mid-level FC Sisko and I can do the entry-level ones with one 1.5B level ship and make all 30 rounds.... but get pittance of rewards that are worthless..... I can do the level 53's with 3 ships buffed to the max, and make it **maybe ** a dozen rounds....... and cant even scratch the *53 Elites. How are we supposed use them to get anything if a majority if the players can't even start the ones that are worth anything? I basically have to now wait a week to do a level 53 and I get nothing of worth out of it cause all the good stuff requires you to either finish it... or do the Elites, which maybe 10% of the players can even get past the initial attack.

The decloak ability handled systems 51-54 just fine. During the chronicles I upgraded it to T3, and half the upgrades done. It bumped my daily requirements to a L55. Using the same crew, with an additional BD officer, I can’t touch my dailies. I’ve buffed my ship, adjusted crews, and I can’t do much of anything to the VGER-Fighters. Why did you have the systems jump 2 levels on one tier? Making it impossible for players to do dailies is not a player friendly experience.

I noticed this too the other day after I tiered up.... but after some expressive vulgarity that scared the heck out my cats.... i noticed an "i" on the fighter daily. I didn't notice this day one... so not sure if it was an update or I jsut overlooked it...... but when I clicked it I noticed that it lets you use lower-level hostiles.. just more of them. .5pts for 1 step down, etc. It wants me to do 10 56's, but I have been having to do 10 55's.

The event has a different point system. The event is a per hostile points method vs the the challenge which is based on Tier Level and System Level.... and as I found out a few days ago by clicking the "i", you can step down and hostiles count as fractions if you dont hit the level listed in the specific level challenge.... If it wants you to do 10 L55's, then you can do L54's with each one counting as .5 towards the challenge.... but it would count as 1 for the event as its a "per hostile" count, not based on points like the challenge.

I forgot to mention this in the last survey, but I hate the way the camera keeps sliding away from the edge in system view. I can't imagine what the idea was behind this change, but it makes the game harder to play. There are so many icons cluttering the edge of the screen, that you need to more or less center your camera on something to target it. If your trying to target a hostile at the edge of the system, and the camera keeps sliding away from it ... well that's quite frustrating.

So a couple of months ago, we had this big mia culpa from STFC leadership on how they understood that the game was not meeting player expectations. What has happened since? The game is worse. More repetitive events, more pay-walled events, less value for purchases, more battle passes to soak us at every turn…and zero reward for sticking with the game over time. I’ve been here for years and thought that play would get better as I progressed. What was I thinking?! It is said that you get what you pay for. Well, in STFC, you pay for certain capabilities, only to have them nullified by new mechanics…that you have to pay for…and it NEVER stops.

Again as it’s happened before Attacking ship was attempting to line up aside of mining node. Which my mining ship had already left system. My ship was gone. So how did it die. Put a 7 day up. Then force yourself to miss a day or two. Once you feel the world not ending and FOMO gets a little less of a hold (especially if you find another hobby to enjoy during this time) it becomes easier to not care what you do and just come on and do a bit here and there.

I noticed the downward spiral and decided that I was not going to pay for the honor and privilege to observe the inevitable demise of STFC. The primary reason for staying this long is my previous investment and the teammates I have been with for years. The developers seem much more interested in pushing out the next $99 pack than they are in fixing the stability of the servers or the clunky interface.

The Verdict

I've been playing the game on my phone ever since, but today I installed it on an 11-inch tablet and what a disappointment! I have less of a field of view than even on my phone. I think they should add a setting in the game that allows you to change the icons from large to smaller and zoom out further on the enemy system or the map to get a better view of the game. Also, in the faction shops, you only see two items per row, which is very uncomfortable to play like this, and there are fewer items on the screen during events as well.

Been saying this for a long time. This game has been developed in such a way that reasonably paced progression is nonexistent without payment to do so (and at high ops levels, payment translates to literally thousands of dollars). Rather than stifling progression, they should be focusing on building a fun and fairly paced game. The content also needs to have a fair price point, because $100 for almost everything is absurd, especially when no pack is worth the $100 price tag.

What Scopely is failing to realize, and I make this point whenever possible, is that many of the most lucrative/successful games on the market are that way because they deliver fun first and foremost, and their paid content is affordable for the vast majority of the players. When a game developer does those 2 things, it causes players to WANT to spend. Scopely makes players NEED to spend, and I think many players are tired of that, especially since spending is measured by $100 increments and that money gets you nearly no advancement anyway.

Some advice before you install new arcs, or in combo with them. Upgrade the Rogue Faction Store to be on par with the Augment Faction Store as well as Rogue Space and introduce new as with Khan Augment Space, Upgrade Eclipse Space & Armadas for G7 players, Upgrade the Stella or a New Ship like the Talios was for the Vidar. Upgrade Territories for G7 players, also upgrade and introduce new ship for Sarcophagus which which is stuck at G3 and useless now in Territory Node Defense. This would be GREAT!

I think I've posted this proabably already 10 times if not more BUT please for the love that is holy FIX your game. Just tried to do your forced waves, and every single flippin' time it crashes on the start so you have to rush to restart and pray that your laggy game loads up fast enough to get back in and use the gs31 to beam the 3 hostiles left in wave 1 that are about to kill the central entity thing and make you waste your directives. And that's only possible because of a prime to increase the number of hostiles that can make it because without it, you can only survive 3 and the first 3 are done and dusted WHILE you're loading up the game again. Well its always been like this like you said, thats why people learnt to hoard stuff if they are not ready to spend coin on consumables. It doesnt really matter if you spend stuff as soon as you can or hoard it for a bit if you do not miss out during the time (cant do refinery claims etc) or hit the cap on stuff. And for most cases you get rewarded for hoarding (Alliance Tournament is a prime example)

I hear you and agree 100%. Started this year holding back my wallet as a 71/72 Ops player who has spend plenty. I'm tired dumping money into a game that is horribly maintained and has only gotten more greedy. I've been playing Arc Raiders and LOVE IT! $40.00 got me everything, they got tons of events and there is no requirement to pay more. Graphics are better, performance night and day, and the amount of customization makes it worth parking this game. So now I only log in, do my dailies and throw up a shield.

With Revenant resources chests AFTER 1st evolution, I maxed my Voyager. Talios is ops restricted. Was ops 53 at the time. F2P, I hit Ferengi Freighter in Hirogen systems, and go to Shal’ika regularly.

Its essentially the same thing. Spending stuff when it matters or benefits you more than if you were to spend it as soon as you get it. Outposts are just the next thing people gotta decide whether it benefits them now in the moment more than if they kept it stashed, especially with those outpost events being on a predictable cycle going forward. So If you can get by doing them bulk like on a bi-weekly basis you should not do them in the meantime. If you cant, you gotta decide whether its worth it to you to skip some events for other rewards now. or vice-versa. I would never hoard them in hopes to score big in some ALB/SLBs. those will still belong to the whales. But fixed SMS rewards that are actually quite decent. Or now for example with AT where you can buy some starts and stock up.

No. No it isn't and you know it. Stop being disengenuous. You have one that gives you many paths to complete, tokens, of course being the easiest. But you have no less than 10 different paths to completion. Then you have one that requires you to read "the news" and hoard the meager 100 a day for weeks. Knowing full well it takes 600 a run. It's a gacha move to try and get people to spend $100.00. A really bad one that preys on those with low willpower. You are admitting what I'm saying, just indirectly. It requires you to sit on resources and not consume them in fear of missing out on an event. That's a really horrible strategy and why they struggle and bleed high spenders. "But they got to make money", my advice look at bigger better Triple A titles out there they don't require this. They got a much larger player base and don't rely on gacha tactics, just putting out quality content that is actually performant.

Without hoarding something you do not get to do f2p 150k each tournament. You just got more choices what you wanna hoard (opportunity chips, rare/epic directives, temporal artifacts, trial bells, choice reward tokens etc etc). Sure you can do 15 tasks without hoarding but those wont be good ones. Outposts unfortunately are like this and may change for the better in the future, maybe not. Untill it does you either gotta save em and do the sms or do not save em. But then you cant be surprised to maybe miss out on something. It was possible to do the events with the stuff they gave us, it wasnt glorious but doable.

This player will get to 29 and be extremely weak as their research and officers and ships and who knows what else...will be way behind. So, putting all understanding aside, I understand that with such large online games, things don't always run as they should. But the last few days, especially the last two, have become almost UNPLAYABLE. Constant lag, glitches, constant error codes (currently number 5), delays in scoring. It's almost impossible to complete many tasks, and the alliance tournament is becoming a nightmare. There are people who can't play here 24/7, and when they do come online to play, they can hardly do anything. Then another little box with stupid officer parts (which most people don't WANT) and 20 tokens appears, along with a We're sorry, blah blah, thank you for your understanding No, no understanding. If you can manage your MONEY shop, then you should be able to manage the game as well. MAYBE don't add a new ‘BUY SHIP’ to the game every week, but fix old bugs first. That would be something I would even accept a whole DAY of server downtime for. I can already see the problem with the alliance tournaments again, where POINTS that are important for promotion or maintaining the current LEAGUE are lost. We already had many players who couldn't do everything in the last PROBLEM tournament and even had to accept relegation as a result. No wonder so many people are fed up and are quitting!

So, yet again, the game is wonky. Now it pulled a Mitch McConnell and buffered then laaaaagged myself and others out of the game and won't reload or let us back in. Stuck at 91% loading, it says. It is preventing me from finishing several events, scoring nixed, tournament tasks and pulls are null. And the message says "too many players so the server is busy" or some nonsense. This is not your peak user time by any stretch of the imagination. And, if Scopely lives true to form, the compensation will be 2 speedups and a used toothpick. Nevermind that there were missing daily AS events in the new Resonance arc twice for ops 20 to 50 this week so some of us missed out.

The pricing index on this game is extremely high. Most items are $99.99, you get no hard copies of anything, nothing tangible, and you can not resell it after you pay a ton into it. Maybe not free, but our time and money is just as valuable as theirs is, not to mention these issues, which are persistent and frequent.

I believe scopely doesn't understand how to write a task correctly.
Location in 1st task doesn't have Gorn it has Hurak yet it says to go to Lya-9.
