I have a 5090 that has been searching for a job since 10 p.m. last night. I’ve restarted, uninstalled, reinstalled, and even obliterated it. My other 5090s are running flawlessly. There hasn’t been any change except for a brief power outage that lasted for a second. I promptly restored all the machines. I did receive a power-limited notification, but nothing was actually limited. Afterward, my machine was assigned a task for approximately 30 minutes, and that was the end of it. Just finding a job now.

You are not missing anything. Im getting all the time 0.17 jobs. I tried to change them but no luck. I denied 20 times in one day 0.17 jobs hoping to get higher one but no, only 0.17 and you do the math 600w vs 0.17 per hour.
Yup 3 5090s here and salad overheated two of them today. Then when i restart it i get no jobs... i think because chef stars arent working on my account the only way of restarting is to do mining (only thing that previously worked). Can admin / tech please contact me to try get stars working again?
Well there's your mistake. U should be undervolting it. I got mine running at 3047 MHz @ 960 mV with a power draw of 500 watts
Hey yall, Ive got a RTX 5090 Laptop GCU and it is only chopping at $.005/hr. is there an issue with the laptop 5090s not getting higher paying jobs?
Intel Ultra 9 275HX
32.0 RAM
2 TB SSD
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU
it's because it's a laptop - laptop gpus are in their own separate category to customers and thus get lower demand because they perform worse than their desktop counterparts
laptop versions of desktop cards are power limited so they're not true 5000 series cards. U were better off buying a laptop, egpu dock, and a desktop gpu if u wanted to mine
the last time i heard of undervolting, it was stricly banned by the salad team saying "the card need to be at stock". did it changed in the mean while ?
undervolting works as long as the gpu's performance is not reduced as a result of it
