#Lost Star Chef - Never comes back?

I have multiple machines dedicated to Salad. All of them are up 24/7 except for updates or crashes, but I cant get star chef status back on any of them. I have up to date hardware, enough space all of it, but I lost my star chef one day almost a month ago and it just didnt come back. Im concerned im missing out on rewards related to it, and its also just generally a bit concerning. Any help would be appreciated

Same thing happens to me, honestly I think it’s just a glitch, you probably have chef status just not showing. I saw it once about a month ago and it disappeared after a few days. Never saw it again

My machines are also dedicated to salad.

It stop showing up for me 2 weeks ago. 5 machines all going. No star chef 🙁

It happened to me 2/3 weeks ago, too, but it appeared today (1.9.12). Leave it on, check the logs, be patient, and in any case, as cursedatom wrote above,
it's just a visual bug from the application. If you had it, you haven't lost it.

I’ve had the same situation since I installed and started using Salad (about 4 weeks ago). My chopping time is already over 300 hours. I still haven’t received Chef status. Is there any way to check whether it has been granted to me? Logs? Website?

You can look in "store" -> "bonuses" -> "achievements", here you will definitely see "star chef status" assigned and below the date of the last assignment.

Always had chef star status & now, despite chopping constantly on 5 pcs for weeks, nothing

Been chopping constantly on 4 computers, all hardware in demand but chef star status never goes to 5/5 🙁
it did months ago
Now it seems I have to mine for a few hours before getting a decent job which wastes any profits...

Star Chef is broken for everyone atm

plus the chopping power guide doesn't really affect earnings more than telling you to enable hardware/bandwidth sharing, it's just a guide for chefs to get started

it's not broken for everyone, but it is broken for a good number of people

but it also doesn't really matter whether you have it or not anyways

Should I email support about it or are there enough people that already have to the point where it's not needed?

same thing, not showed on any machine (two) and running way more than 50 hour a week, didn't seen any change in revenue so i didn't look further in it.

that might be a different bug

theres 2 star chef bugs we know of, a visual bug that will show the badge in the widget and then vanish for seemingly no reason, and another bug where uptime events aren't sent to our backend which is used to calculate your star chef status

the former has been something we're looking into but haven't found a cause for

also the one where if you're missing some things in the chopping power, it just doesn't appear

I have had 4 pcs running constantly on same account and still no star 🙁 Wnd it is affecting me getting jobs when 5090s are showing 90+

if it's been confirmed as a visual bug by support (which it is) you're still recieving the benefits of the status

it is account based not machine based

#

plenty of other factors for your machines not to get workloads, different region, high ping, not meeting a workloads' performance expectancy. low internet speeds etc

I dont have chef star and im chopping a lot more than 50h weekly xD
