anyone on starlink?

salad downloads 1-1.5TB a day
elon will get mad at me

3 years back they had a soft limit about 3-5tb a month
at this rate could end up at 46TB and i've only got 2 systems connected to salad

middle of the night almost reaches 500MBPS, i've capped each system now to 150MBPS

hope that one day salad lets us use our own storage to save most common models to disk for future workloads

instant jobs makes happy chefs, happy customers & a happy elon... we must not anger our new overlord, lol

They're aware that we want local caching to prevent excessive network and drive usage, but I doubt it'll happen any time soon :(

noticed any other issues like throttling?

it makes sense Elon throttles us, would rather that than threats of disconnection

I'm not on starlink fortunately, but I can see where you're concerned. I'll look into starlink and their policies later tonight
