Just reinstall salad and restart your pc

Open file explorer and see if you have salad Linux in it.

do i uninstall and re-install
yeahh ima try that
nope didnt work
what else
No it's downloaded
okay so what do i do now
Can you open salad from tray?
Set up
i enabled virtualisation
Ah alr
already
You need 50gb space in c drive
Check the BIOS guide
yeahh i checked it and turned virtualization on
its just the wsl thing rn
Try searching for windows features in search bar and enable hyper V 5 and reboot

no hyper v5
Windows hypervisor and virtual mechine
Yea just save it first
okayy ill be back in a few
I hope it works
restarted
Did it work?
uhhhh
Rip
Check on Microsoft store and search for Microsoft subsystem Linux
Click on that reboot pc button
yeahh it says salad failed to reboot and that i need to do it manually from my taskbar, and when i do that im back here.
Did you tried reinstalling salad?
yeahh i did
When you turned on windows hypervisor and hyper-v did you turn on virtual machine platform as well?
On my computers when I install salad with all those features off it automatically just turns on windows subsystem for Linux and virtual machine platform.
You “shouldn’t” have to turn on hyper-v or windows hypervisor features but they shouldn’t cause any issues either.
Also might have a corrupt Windows file
I think we got it figured out… needed to update WSL for salad to work.
if I uninstall Hyper V and reinstall it will it worK?
I have hyper V installed and works .
For me I had to keep Hyper V uninstalled

Oh wait disregard everything I said lmao
Run this in an admin command prompt
bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype Auto
Then reboot
Make sure you have WSL installed from the MS store before doing this
@void arrow @loud rock @obtuse hill @weary gorge @soft merlin , i got it resolved tysmmm. I uninstalled wsl, re-installed it and then unregistered and installed Ubuntu in cmd, and when i rebooted my pc, the "salad-enterprise-linux" folder appeared under linux
and it now says that the container env thing is working
