So I had this issues since containers launched and it goes like this I go into salad I click enable CPU earnings start the mining or whatever it is and it says You have to enable more hardware... So I contacted salad support AT THE END OF LAST YEAR and we went back and forth everything with respect they were amazing I talked most to Mike and he even mentioned that people with Intel 9 CPUs have similar issues so then he told me to send my log files and he will send it more up for them to look at it OKEY then after a month its February I asked what is up with the ticket and he told me he forgot to send it and that he did send it when I asked about it SO I waited another month and no info a replied to the last email and asked and this time was a different support person and she had no clue for 1 or 2 emails until I told what was the problem and what I did and what support I got until now she said there is no change to my ticket so now I'm so confused what the hell to do because I really want to do that because I mostly code on my PC so it wont hurt to run while doing so to earn some extra buck for savings so please people of this discord server help me BTW I don't blame the support I got until now everyone was super nice and did the most they can!! AND on the newest release It does nothing it does not show me a warning but I've tried letting it find a job for a lot of time once like 2 days but nothing I once saw "vnnem" or how its called I forgot in the task manager BUT it went up for a second and then disappeared so even on the newest version I don't think something is happening and YES I have done every possible thing I can do checked the entire Documentations did the normal things support asks me to do EVERYTHING!!

BTW in the newest version only earning I got is a little internet sharing thing and it still was stuck in calculating but that's beside the point while my CPU is enabled it doesn't do anything!
Bandwidth sharing will always be stuck on calculating as salad has no way to calculate what you'll actually earn from it
yes I know but that is not my problem!
But let me see if someone else has had the issue and it's been fixed here (for I9)
I only found 1 similar situation in the past while, but it seems containers fixed it
Atleast for i9's
In salad settings did you whitelist salad and give it elevated permissions?
Yes I did
I can try again
How much should it take normally to calculate how much it will make?
With a cpu container it should make around 20 cents up to about a dollar a day
Yes yes but from when I start it there is this thing that normally says in the next 24 hours you will make around this much for me on my laptop it takes 5 to 15 minutes to change from 0.00 to around 0.96 for example and then I see the stuff in the task manager
that is what does not happen on my Desktop PC
Ik
I only see salad using anything but CPU in my task manager only on the Gpuz test thing while only me having CPU enabled and GPU disabled
It will calculate for containers almost instalnty
Might take a bit for mining
Bandwidth never calculates
yes that is how I check that it works but nope it does not calculate nothing and nothing is happening in the task manager
When running salad with your cpu do you see a process called vmmem in task manager?
nope but when running on my laptop I see it and thats also how i check if it works
should I run CMD as ADMIN?
Shouldn't have to
So it's there
That's normal/good
So wait, do you still have the more hardware message?
nope since the new 1.1.0 release not anymore
Alright
I'm not really sure why vmmem wouldn't run if you started salad with only cpu enabled
yup same I have tried everything from reinstalling to months of support emails but still nothing
any ideas what I can try or do to make it work?
this is probably the most extreme solution, but the only thing I could find that made my machine work (similar situation with the containers) was a full windows reinstall. so presumably some file broke somewhere, but I'm not sure which. Hopefully in the future that can be narrowed down for easier troubleshooting lol
I'm not the best at containers though- and my issue was a little bit different
