#how do I turn on gpu containers?
36 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Enable the Container Environment, then just enable your GPU
CPU + GPU containers don't work atm, so you'll have to disable your CPU
Does gpu make more money (for my specs)
The 1650 isn't supported for GPU containers, so you'd wanna use CPU containers
I actually have a question on this
If you enable both cpu and gpu, will salad not use containers at all, or will it prioritize gpu containers?
it'll use CPU containers + GPU mining
Ah
When it will be supported for container
Cuz I have the same
No idea
it'll be supported if Salad's customers have a demand for it
but honestly even 6gb GPUs would be pushing it a bit, atm
i thought jared said cards below 8gb were supported
but that there was much less demand for them?
I heard 8gb and higher . Others coming when it was demand for it.
what gpus are supported?
Might be posted in the pins some where. 🤷
that’s what was thought at first
Nvidia GPUs with >=8gb of VRAM
Next is why aren't they erarning anything ? Lol
well there's relatively not many GPU jobs out there atm
jared said otherwise so did nova
Thank you!
Believe I heard 100 jobs or so. And quite a few that have GPUs been using salad for years so have a higher trust score then someone recently joining to get those jobs ] gotta get in line ]
I can only cpu mine?
trust score is how reliable your computer is, salads work distribution program measures how long and how often you chop for and depending on that determines your trust score also source for 100 jobs??
use cpu contiainer
we have been telling you time again that to your gpu does not perform well with salad
just read and retain
If salad said they're currently 100 container jobs - meaning those who are available with the highest trust score w/ what the customers want will get first dibs. So those who are new will be limited
source where
Source for '~100 jobs' is from the latest State of Salad iirc, where Jared did a sneaky and 'leaked' it
