#Container Enviroment Not Running On 1 of my 2 laptops
39 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I am making 1 cent per 15 mins, and when I stopped running it on my gaming laptop, my earnings dropped to zero
even though the Surface Pro is running it and cpu on the Surface Pro is being used
Update
Now neither of my laptops work...

@karmic berry Sorry for ping
Update
Vmmem is running on my laptop even though salad is not mining atm.
I'll try a restart and see if that helps
@young robin
Can you clarify.
Did you have an issue booting either machine? Or is the problem that you are not seeing earnings?
Both machines are booting
Ok, so not a problem where your hardware is not running.
The problem is that I am not seeing the earnings, and when I went to school, even though I had stopped salad, it was still running vmmem
As for the container earnings, they are spotty. This is a test phase and there are a limited number of jobs.
Doing a reboot fixed it
It's not unexpected to see earnings stop as container jobs become available.
Keep it on, because in the future jobs will become more available and if you have containers enabled then you are more likely to earn.
Also, because even if I didn't have a container job, wouldn't I still get some earnings from gpu mining?
Because vmmem was using 80% of my cpu which was a bit werid becasue I was not earning anything
Depends on the miner your using and other factors. Enabling or disabling containers shouldn't effect your GPU mining.
Sounds good.
It does seem to be working now
I'll try it on my Surface Pro 4 when I get home
It's working on both of my devices now, I think it was just a bug or smt
Thanks for letting us know!
But, there is one thing which is weird. I stopped running salad and waited for around 10 mins but vmmem was still on even though salad was stopped. And it was keeping my cpu pegged at 100%
It's happened at school as well as I put my laptop into hibernate rather then turning it off
But when I restarted, it worked fine and vmmem was still running but it was using 1gb of ram which is fine ig but it was not using cpu
We are going to improve system resource usage in future releases. That's expected for it to keep running at a minimal level in this beta, but it will not be the case in the future.
