if they do its usually just "for business purposes you require a business plan"

and on business plans usually just "if used more than x then you must use x plan"

i use like 5-6tb a month in my household

no problems from my isp

they do repairs and support like any other individual 🤷‍♂️

you're getting scammed if your isp has a hidden cap to upcharge you for data

thats why salad says if you dont have a data cap they recommend bandwidth sharing, if you do have a data cap they highly recommend not using bandwidth sharing

no , most are dynamic that changes every so often , unless you ask for a static ip even sometimes u have to pay for a static ip depending on your ISP

Sometimes you can get a new ip just restarting modem, or leaving it off for hours/days

it'll beome inactive, and when you start u modem it'll reasign a new one.

We don't know exact details on what amount of demand is necessary for a country to be added, nor exactly what Salad's customers use our bandwidth for.
Though Salad does say that they have a high standard for accepting SGS customers, and so far we haven't really seen any suspicious activity.

The UK probably has a much higher pay per GB because we have more region locked content

I don't know what content exactly, as I don't watch streaming services, but there's apparently enough for the pay to be that high :)

That's gnarly they're offering 8gig to residential, even 2gig+ for homes is way ahead of the global norm for even heavily connected countries

It's convenient when your home is close to those main fiber backbones, it's deploying it even further away from that where it gets really costly, look up 'last mile deployment costs'

And it's an economies of scale thing right, the backbones typically are where datacenters and businesses sit around, providers have to survey whether deploying fiber to other areas makes sense financially from residential participation

How to force librespeed cli to use the server that works the best for you :
1 ) Go to https://librespeed.org/ and try different server, find the one where you get better speeds
2 ) Go to https://librespeed.org/backend-servers/servers.php and with the country, city and provider find the id associated to your server
3 ) Go in the salad workload-definitions folder on your pc ([Drive]:\ProgramData\Salad\workload-definitions) and open ndm.yaml with notepad, find the line : args: "--ipv4" and add --server with the id
You get something like : "--ipv4 --server 49" for id 49.
4 ) Save the file, if you have permission problem save it to another name (like ndm1.yaml), delete the old one, and rerename your new file to ndm.yaml.
