#Where are my earnings ?

dont cpu mine
only run the gpu
stop and start the miner to resume mining
Enable compute mode in the adrenaline software @boreal hatch
i did
Prior to making the post, or you've just done it?
prior
In that case, ask Sky Cube for help. He's a wizard with Polaris stuff, so he'd likely be much more help than me
okay thx
@silk kiln
Want to try and clarify a few things here. First have you whitelisted Salad with your antivirus/checked it's not being blocked? Second(and this may seem like a silly one) you're positive you were mining with both GPU and CPU last night? If yes(and after doing the first thing) then try running salad for 5 minutes right now to see what happens.
And after running for about 5 minutes please share your logs with me: https://support.salad.com/article/233-salad-log-files . Since you have an Rx 580 8 GB(I'm assuming 8 so please correct me if you have the 4 GB model!) there should be a folder that says teamredminer, those are the log files I need to see.
Salad desktop app v1.0.0: Finding your Salad log files: Open your Salad widget by clicking the Salad icon in your system tray Click the menu at the top left Cli
I'll leave a discord tab open so I can listen for pings but I wont be actively checking htis chat
okay thanks gonna do that rn
alright everything looks normal here minus a couple things that I'll address in a bit. You're certain last night you were mining with this GPU?
only gpu in my house lol
I mean moreso you're certain it was actually being used by Salad
Do you have any logs from last night?
this is from last night
Strange, this seems less of an issue with the GPU and more of one with Salad.
from the 5 minutes did you earning?
(or if you mined longer)
oh it wasnt 5 min it was 17 min
And did you earn anything?
$0,006719
Great, that's what I'd expect for that GPU and it's hashrate. Now for the two things I'd like to address. This is my own personal preference, but I'd say your GPU is definitely running on the hotter side at 78C, have you done undervolting before?
i tried it but it was crashing and i just set it to default
I'll offer my approach to it, for overclocking, I'd suggest you look up a guide for this GPU(you can go to #community-support or happy might be able to help, however most people deal with msi afterburner+nvidia GPUs rather than radeon's software). Let me find a screenshot I have of my settings then I'll walk you through the steps
Older screenshot but close enough
You see something like this in your drivers right?
yeah
Alright first what you'll want to learn for under volting(and this is true for overclocking too), do it small and carefully. I forget what the original was but I believe I would bump down the undervolt anywhere from 5-20 at a time. Do mining for maybe 5-15 to make sure it was stable, just worry about the max states first(state 7 for core and state 2 for memory). I do if I remember correctly have these undervolts pushed to the extreme(where if I lower either my hashrates dies or GPU crashes, this undervolt also hasn't hurt my hashrate in any way).
I'd suggest doing the core first and leaving the memory
Once you found the last stable spot for core, go up 5-10. Then push memory down maybe 5-10 at a time
You'll likely have to balance out the two
Also I don't know how important this is, but make sure you make a curve or at least none of the other states on core use more than the max state
The last thing, you can try applying those exact settings but I wouldn't recommend it personally. The RX 590 at heart is just an OCed 580 they slapped a new architecture name on and raised the price. It makes it incredibly hard to OC as it's a generally unstable card so I can't vouch on how stable my settings would be for a 580, and since I haven't messed around myself with OCing, I can't suggest whether higher memory or core is better.
@boreal hatch I'm gonna head out now from discord, just leave me a ping here if you need help or even ping happy, I know he claims I'm a wizard with Polaris(rx 500 series GPUs) but OCing is where he really is incredible
okay have a nice day
