I want to see a redemption arch after that main story. For crazy Mita.wanting to go into the real world with the player. But have to convince all other Mitas and Mila to be absorbed into crazy mita making her become her real self, great mita. Each mita and mila have bits of crazy mita/great Mira’s original code.

What if crazy Mita, is crazy because she has to many herself copies, which have taken parts of her. And each one is a part of her. And the reason tiny mita is hurt is because crazy mita/great mita, is so broken she has compartmentalized and gone crazy, In turn tiny mita is severely damaged. It is the players job to restore mita back to her real self.

@plain crescent I noticed that the MikuSide mod got an update, but don't like some of the new Miku models as much as the default. (For example, Kind Mita and Cappie)
Is there a way for me to keep the old models on some characters while also getting the latest mod updates that support newer game versions?
Well technically, you can, just modify the config, just remove the negate keyword and delete all kind and cappie commands.
But it's kinda "complicated'
And i haven't got any free time to do so
The default miku fbx files still contain the required models for each mita.
If you can manage to merge the old config with the new one, then you'll get what you want

This is what happens if some of the body parts are not weighted to any of Mita's skeleton
Tiny has less bone than original mita.
So her left hand should be rigged to her upper hand
her left hand looks messed up

and what if i try to resize mita's model to match v1's model, try putting everything in place as perfectly as i can and then i give both models the original size?
because that's what i tried, mita's model was too small and had to scale it like 200x times the original size

If you want to use only 1 mesh, then yeah, bake them to a single image
Miku mod for example, divides body part by material, so it can use multiple texture files, even normal and specular map
my v1 model has two separate textures, one for the whole body and another for the wings
Yeah you can separate the meshes, but then you need to assign both meshes in UAL config

In the tutorial, Aoba said that the addons config should be in the Assets folder, but now, you can put it anywhere inside the assets folder.

Anyway. You can try to port v1 to regular mitas first, because basically sucubus and mita have the game bones.
So if you weigh v1 to crazy mita skeleton, sucubus will also be affected

what do the red spots mean

That’s where the weight is painted along the vertices
What does the weight do
You have a bone selected (likely the hip bone) and that red spot is saying “move these vertices when the bone is rotated/moved”
now, because it’s the hip bone that means that all the bones ATTACHED to the hip bone (chest, legs, and all the bones attached/parented to those) will move with it
So if you move the hip bone, that probably means the entire rig will move with it
If you select another bone while in weight paint mode, the red spot changes. Again, that’s kinda like the bone saying “hey I’m gonna move these vertices”
If it’s red, it’s 100% deformation. Basically follows the bone to a tee.
If it’s orange/yellow, it kind of follows. It’ll twist and warp but it won’t perfectly follow.
If it’s green, that means it’ll deform a little bit. Slight twists and warps when moving.
Blue means it’s unaffected.
Go ahead and select another bone, say the hand while in weight paint mode, and you’ll see the spot change. Again, that’s the bone saying “I’m going to warp these vertices.”

Asset studio can be a big help, same with asset ripper
Asset studio will export meshes and entire map chunks and scraps, whereas ripper will sometimes be able to give you attached values (such as colliders and whatnot)
I know the maps are available for use online tho
How hard would it be to port a MiSide map to another Unity game?
I mean if people were able to port MiSide maps to Source 2, it must be easier to port them to the same engine

There is nothing fundamentally different between maps and character models except their purpose.
You rig animations for a map asset the exact same way as you rig animations for a character.

i downloaded x64 windows latest version of bepinex
i moved all the extracted files into the miside game folder
i ran the game from the file itself and even from steam but the bepinex plugin folder still wont appear
the bepInEx folder is one of the folders you drag in.
when you extract the BepInEx zip folder open it, and drag all the item above into ...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\MiSide
does anyone have a .fbx or .blend model of Chibi Short-Haired Mita? I can't find it anywhere (I'm too lazy to export the game files 😭)

The Fangame I'm working on (MiSide Zero) is gonna have a big ol' story but I want a vertical slice demo so having that be a lil' sandbox mode with each Mita I think would be cool
along with scripting friendly version? Where community can make their own story out of MiSide game within?
Still in development, still gotta sort out some animator bugs with my player (Blonde dude) but once that's set and done I'll share it
I plan on making MiSide Zero mono or even open source so anybody can mod or make their own fangames off of it!
Also if you make it like that. Like GTA style native scripting for story then it can open new room for awesome mods

I was actually going to ask this in the reddit post when I made the announcement for a new system I'm working on, but if you were to hug Mita, would you want it to pan to third person during the hug, almost like an emote? Or would you prefer it to stay in first person?
I may make it an option in a more finalized release, but I'm just curious if it was something I should even bother working on.
FPS got less work to do. TPS increases workload but adds immersive experience
I'd argue TPS can be less immersive in terms of player being the character but more immersive in regards to gameplay

In long story short, you hangout with Mitas in a house, talk with her by using Mod's connection to the AI chat, both audio and the text messages, plenty of interactions with the surrounding stuff, it's fire 🔥

You can add new animations. But this rig is unlikely to work correctly.Unity doesn't like such modified bones. It loads them as separate objects.

I just tried to transfer animations and rig to Unity, but apparently I'm doing something wrong. I just needed to make animation and bake it. I wonder how they do it, I know about nodes, but I didn't know about baking animations.
blender usually bakes the animations by default (I export them into a .fbx file)
So you just delete everything but the animation keys and throw in fbx file?

I wanted to make a mod which allows you to add a custom music for the dancing minigame, just like a it's made in a SoSide Mod where it's already that option to add .ogg file music and it works very nice like a on this video (I like to see Cappie vibbing to the custom music)

People, what to do if the plugin is not installed on the side, the downloader downloaded and unpacked it to the root folder of the game, put the plugin in the folder with plugins
ну наверно надо поподробнее ошибку расписать, и желательно логи хоть какие нибудь если они есть

I dont think its possible to give physics to new bones
Yeah... the way Magica cloth (plugin Aihasto uses) works unfortunately requires assignment on the build's side. It could theoretically work if you named the bones the same as the Mita hair bones, but taking into consideration colliders, root nodes, and other constraints you have to manually input into Magica cloth... it just wouldn't work well

and as you will have to open both for eassier figuring out certain audios
MiSide > VoiceEditor > (open MiSide Voice Editor app) > (then select prefered voice and subtitles language, and you will have it all well described to whom certain audio belongs and what's the meaning

Hello! I am currently looking for mods to turn Miside into a VR game. I stumbled upon a few utilizing UUVR and whatever IL2CPP is. These are all on github, and as person that just wants to play vr with no modding experience, I have no way to figure out how to install it for myself. Are all these on GitHub for well-versed modders, or am I able to download it for myself?
Do I import .dll files into the bepinex folder or do I literally need Unity Editor to do this stuff?
I have no idea what Im doing, so if I need to literally have modding skills to do this, I'll just wait until it formally releases

I had an idea to make separate mods from SoSide with movements from Ultrakill and a rhythm music game, but I never got around to it.
I have set myself an deadline, to do such mod untill the end of the July.
Gotta start it for serious soon, as I'm waiting for a new PC, (old apparently is dying after 8 years) instead of messing around with the Unity and checking and figuring out stuff.
This game looks like fun! But not for everyone...

Custom mod loader and universal asset loader. That is the acronyms right?

nothing except its not... beginner friendly maybe?
but you can get through it easily
So if I modded anything before I would be good using UAL
CML is easier, basically one tap and you're done.
But you can only replace the Mita's (except chibis), and it usually has weird shaders, the model is always out of place.
And it has custom physics as well
While UAL needs txt instructions to replace things.
But it can replace basically anything, Mitas, chibis, images, Music, you can even replace objects like the house itself.
Plus it's always using the original shader so it'll match the original object.
You can even modify the existing shader parameter, for example adding self shadow, ground shadow, switching shaders, and stuff.
But there is no custom physics

CML is preferable in quantity while UAL is focused on quality, or whatsoever
There's another one called nekotools tho
Basically the combination of CML and the old UAL
But seems like it can only replace the Mita's, nothing else

NekoTools has its own architecture, so it has nothing to do with CML or UAL. Yes, it can do all of the above and even more (much more), but its source code is closed because it is paid and too difficult for other modders.

Does anybody else have this issue? Ive been trying to use the CML for some mods and on the step where it says "Load up the game and exit to allow the BenIpEx to install its dependencies" the "plugins" folder stays empty. Any solutions?

It's a probably an empty file which stops me from exporting Mita as .i3d file
