No, developers said the food is not related, they also said that CM said truth about medicine. The darkness period... I think that all because of CM's powers/abilities (but this is just my opinion)

The heart-racing and blindness are related to the food (cartridge is not) because we are not part of the world and the body has obvious struggles to adjust. The medicine working fast represents the potential of the world as it's made with game concept which tries to be simple.

Any given version is populated by a single variant of Mita, hence Version.
There are multiple instances of a Version assigned to Indexes.
This is seen where there is only Version 1.1 Index 1: Sleepy Mita.
As far as I know, the only thing that is changeable of a Mita would be their outfit, assuming their nature allows for it. Citing Mila and Small(?) Mita. This needs to be rechecked.
And the only time I recall other visual aspects changing is Crazy Mita’s Wig and Skinstealing. ||And Dismemberment. . .||
But I feel that, if they really wanted to, they can get different clothes, assuming it’s in the source code.

I played Miside and read a lot of the lore, but I think it's a shame that the devs didn't include Crazy Mita's version number and index number as a cool Easter egg and include a secret ending. Lore-wise, I understand that she doesn't have an official version and is just a faulty prototype. But if she was never coded as a proper Mita anyway, and her version 0.8A is a throwaway version, why is she still in the game? If she never had access to an official version, she should never have been able to access the entire system, since she was never connected. Yes, it's a game, and not everything has to make sense, but that's why I would have celebrated a secret version as an Easter egg.

I already understand that Crazy Mita isn't an official Mita, since it's a discarded model with a discarded version, as it was never released in V0.8A. It's still a shame, though, that there's no lore information on how an unreleased Mita prototype could have infiltrated the released system. If it were that easy, all prototypes could connect to the system. Furthermore, it would be incredibly awesome if there were an Easter egg that would allow us to access V0.8A, discover Mita's index, and reset it to find a good ending. It would be an elaborate Easter egg, but a super cool one.
