A peaceful mode Easter egg or collectible should be of the little chibis including some of the players that definitely aren’t certain developers or artists revolving around the game or anything.

I really need meds so that one day I could make a game that either revolutionizes the old way of games or revives it. Cheap, hours of pure entertainment and a challenge. Like souls games except not exactly in a souls way, you know?

I really hope that maybe more Chibis are added though, as secrets or Easter eggs or even little collectibles. I’d love that

I believe that Mitas truly die when they are killed. From what I understand, they are essentially instances of a program. Therefore, when they are killed, that instance is deleted from RAM, and when they “revive,” another instance is created based on the same executable/program. In other words, they do not revive, but rather clones are created.

I leaned how to code with C using WINAPI. Windows works like that.

Kind Mita told us that they are getting "rebooted" upon killing, so for me it's most likely that do not die, but rather have some persistent state that is an snapshot of state after Mita receives her home. And all her memories are just stored in RAM, so when they are rebooted the program starts from last known snapshot, clearing the RAM

What makes me wonder, if there would be a possibility in that case to create another snapshot of Mita memory, as new restoring point when she is rebooted

Mitas have a standalone version. Factory settings if you may like to call it this way. And when they die, everything they ever gathered after those factory settings (aka. what they learn and all) is being erased. They learn their behavior after getting their body and after they are done developing their character, a so called "snapshot" is being created. And that snapshot is what they default back to in case they "die"

Death is a state which occurs after brain activity has stopped for a set amount of time. However, those Mitas never stop. They simply get reverted back to their snapshot. They just "lose their RAM" if you wanna call it in computer terms

Looking at the UI components, the "Wczytywanie..." is translated to "Loading..." - it's the asset when player is leaving the kitchen to face world loading, where Mita explains that rooms are needed to be loaded.
On bottom there are controls used in the fighting minigame (on console, where we can play with Mita before proceeding to playing cards), screen from that minigame is also visible on right of the image.

It can be a part of the minigame textures, or some trick for game engine to optimize some GPU calculations

I hope in Peaceful Mode, Creepy Mita appears and asks Crazy Mita why she left her alone. After Crazy Mita explaining she found her true player, she requests Creepy Mita to fix the glitches on other Mita's versions to redeem her previous behavior. And then Creepy comes back with all the Mitas from main story because they're now her new friends.

Seeing all Mitas (except faulty dummy ones) in Peaceful Mode would an absolute cinema.

i just finished the game miside and I felt like watching spoilers of other endings cause I wanted to know more. I felt like crazy mita was teaching the players a lesson how easily mita can be abandoned if the player was bored with her (or other versions of mita). That's why crazy mita treats every player the same by leaving them as a cartridge.

I think that the only escape is that player 1 never interacted with the game. I'm not mad that there was never a true escape from the miside world but psychological mind fck teaches you to take a grain of salt and balance what's fantasy and reality.

So here's an idea, isn't the MC a programmer?

Good ending concept: in the Core, he is able to get access to the source code, Core Mita steps in thinking he will do harm, but the MC tells her about the damage he has seen. She wants to see proof and tells the MC to bring a Mita so she can see what is going on. The MC has to collect broken Mita and then Core Mita can agree to help, and the player goes through some kind of stylised segment to rework the code, finds and removes bad parts of the code, and then uploads a new version that merges all the Mitas personalities into a unified consciousness, while this is happening, the player finds a code so he can remove himself from the game, everything seems normal, but Unified Mita says hello from the phone, explains that he fixed them and offers thanks, and asks if its ok for her to text sometime in the future.

Here's another good ending concept - we go one level deeper.

Instead of just taking the cartridge out of the console the moment he unlocks the safe, the MC takes the console with him. Which... when we confront Crazy Mita for the final time, she'll realize that someone else is involved - and that someone is us, the player (as opposed to the 'player' MC) and she'll realize she's in a game inside of a game. That cutscene at the end is the only way we could've possibly known the safe code, after all.

Could even take a page from ||DDLC's|| book and require ||external file manipulation of some kind related to Crazy Mita|| to achieve a truly good ending.

I wonder... Did Insane Mita break because of a neglect or was it the self perspective of knowing she was constructed to be an AI... I went in knowing full well it was going to get scary but when I saw the Broken Mita... Can we talk about how weird Miside the fictional app would be in-universe? "Every Mita is unique" how tho? Who's designing infinite versions of the same character? All these Mita cannot be human designed, so most are either randomly generated tweaked copies by the app, meaning only a handful of Mitas are designed by actual artists, and that most Mitas are probably just...subpar because they're procedurally generated. This theory only looks more true with Mitas like long legs Mita existing. In short, the Mitas for the most part probably have their designs determined by a similar "Swap assets" mechanic to the Pokémon Spinda with its spots. This means there's probably like, 1,000 Mitas who look identical to popular ones, but with insignificant differences like "hair strand #100 being half a centimeter to the left." This would create a climate where specific Mitas are more valued than others, and any Mitas 99% identical to a popular one would be labeled counterfeits by the playerbase.

There would be people selling phones with particularly desired Mitas on them, or scammers selling phones with lookalikes "fakes".

The in-universe devs basically are discouraging this soft resetting behavior by doing that, and it's probably better for player mental health than easy resets.

This all just creates the perfect imaginary environment for in lore players of this fictional app to scalp the everloving crap out of each other. Every possible Mita "type" like long hair, short hair, tattooed, glasses, etc would be somebody's interest, and there are probably countless people who didn't luck out into getting what they wanted, and would pay money to buy a phone with a version of the game catering to their interest. This app would be full of scalpers hypothetically.

Every Mita type would have a statistical value to the fandom of the app specifically so like, say, Raymond from Animal Crossing New Horizons' prime, there would shady mofos online selling "Short haired Mita save file for___amount of REAL money.", and it would be expensive af because resetting is so impractical, and hard to do unless you're a dev yourself or an elite hacker. The lore accurate version of the Miside app sounds like a dystopian fandom, just in concept. 💀

It's quite unknown whether devs allow to sell save files of the Mita like that. Save file sharing will only possible if the app supports import-export functionality.

But the app may be tightly coupled to generate Mita per player.

With the in universe app, all you would have to do is just buy somebody else's phone from them to obtain their Mita. For the money of it, somebody in universe is probably mass buying different phones, under different emails, mass downloading this app, obtaining a wide selection of Mita, and just selling people their desired Mita preferences that way. At that point, it's just out of the dev's hands, because you're not technically hacking the app, you're just buying 12 Samsungs under different emails, and downloading the same app on all of them. Then just selling those phones. That'd be the phone company's priority than anything.

Possible, but unlikely for two reasons, I feel like.

1: No sane developer is going through this many hoops to code in several layers of protection just to stop some rando from getting their preferred Mita secondhand. It's just not worth the sharp increase in development cost to have this many layers of protection. Even similar systems in games from AAA studios aren't going this far to ensure you only get one shot at something.

2: The app requiring camera access so it can see your face would hurt the sales because without context that is extremely creepy for anything NOT a camera or photo app. That would imply the app is logging faces long term which would probably alert the government as this is just an anine game. Yes, Crazy Mita mentions seeing you through a camera I think, confirming the app actually does have camera features, but I say it's much more likely those are optional, and require consent rather than the game not functioning without it. The player probably just forgot his was on.

A game guised in an anime filter, a very popular aesthetic to lure people in.

Has inexplicable camera access despite it not being relevant to the gameplay from what we see, and judging by the fact Crazy surprises us with the camera fact, we can assume the game is suspiciously hush-hush about it being on.

The game is riddled with amateurish bugs, so unlikely a reputable mainstream studio published it, so, chances are the makers of the app do not have a reputation yet, good or bad so they'd be under everyone's radar.

The fact Crazy can convert PHYSICAL mass into data implies the game was built to hold that much data. A human psyche would require SO MUCH storage. Almost nothing stores more information for as long a time as the human brain. We'd be like hundreds of terabytes. The app even having this much internal memory for Crazy to do this to multiple players without the server crashing or lagging HARD implies this game just has infinitely more storage than it needs for its purpose.

On top of that, the devs just letting Crazy do this, something that would absolutely read as a bug, virus or something to them, implies nothing is out of the ordinary here to them. What if the the makers of this app are just as crazy as Crazy? Not saying they're working together, but what if the devs just had their own nefarious goals, and Crazy's plan just coincidentally benefits from the landscape they had to create?

I do think we have reached the peak shape of a phone, ergo a rectangle, but seeing how tech seems to get thinner, and thinner with time...futuristic phones would probably be way less thick than ours on estimate. I do not think the player's phone being a modern model is truly indicative of the time period tho as it's probably just the irl devs using known iconography. The design of the phone might not even be something you're meant to mull over.

2. Us waking up in the real world is an illusion too, akin to how Crazy replicated the real world before to prove a point. 2 makes less sense because.... why? So, my headcanon is 1.

Hello everyone. I have a question regarding the illusion of the "real" world, where Mita placed the player to remind them that he was living a boring, monotonous everyday life.

1. Did this all happen in the player's mind, and he was living out these everyday lives while he was actually unconscious? Or did Mita create a separate room based on her observations while spying on the player through phone camera?

2. In the game, we only actually lived through five days. The remaining days were shown to us in fast-forward. Is this a gameplay convention, and did the player actually live through the real 999 days in real time? Or did he, like us, see it all in fast-forward?

3. If this illusion took place in a location Mita created, then why wasn't the player confused by the fact that he was in a drawn room? After all, Mita couldn't have created a location that looked like a room from the "real" world.

It's probably a separate room based on her view of the player's room through the camera. The player probably didn't question being in a digital room, because he knew he hadn't left the game, and anyone with common sense in his shoes would look at this digital recreation of their life while the other party criticizes it, and assume Mita had something to do with it. No immediate reason to panic as if she wanted to kill us she'd have done it while we were unconscious. The 999 days was probably faster for the player, but not nearly as fast as it was for us. Slow enough to torture the guy through monotony, but fast enough to not take well over 3 years, if it genuinely was 3 years, the player would be far more pissed at her than he actually was when she revealed herself.

The computer data being nonsense shapes and stuff is probably because Mita knows jack squat about... anything work related, or even what the player does for a living. It was likely just "generic cubicle" simulator to her because she thinks it's all the same.

Kind Mita seems like the best fit for the initials, but I don't really get why she would reach out to us specifically.
Maybe because she knows we are a programmer, and this means we might have a better chance of stopping Crazy Mita and ending the violence?
One problem with this theory is that we are supposedly just completely clueless about cybersecurity and will download any app that a stranger tells us to.
Also our phone calls M.K. a "friend", so I assume they are in our contacts already?
Alternatively, the choice of words "new version" might imply we have already used the app before and are just giving it another go, so our "friend" is actually just the chibi Mita.

It makes the most sense to me that M.K. is a real person who just wants to share his favorite mobile game with his friend. I really have no idea who they would be though.
The only humans we know have any connection to us are those coworkers from our old office job, who we see in that photo by the desk.
We comment about feeling unsure why we care so much about our former coworkers, doubting ourselves for having hung up the picture.
Maybe we download any old thing our former coworkers send us because we are desperate for connection.

One final thing I wonder is whether it could be a translation related mystery, like maybe it would make more sense in Russian.
Do they do noun-before-adjective, so it would make sense for it to stand for "Mita-Kind"? Something like that?

Guys, how many endings are in the game, and how many endings are planned?

there are currently 3 endings including the one when you beat the game, the other 2 are extremely short to get too

as for more endings we dont know, in the FAQ they said they will/might add more but we dont know how many or when or even if they will after peacefulmode

and considering the games been out for almost a year now i doubt they will fix the bug

If I understood the ending of the game correctly, from the moment we started seeing blurry when we ate with crazy Mita, it's because we turned into cartridges.But when Kind Mita checks on us in Cappie's version, she tells us we were fine. Did I miss something, or did Kind Mita lie to us?

The devs confirmed that the food made the players vision blurry because they weren't used to the food in the game. Kind Mita wasn't lying since if you check the safe in the basement early you will see that cartridge upload process is only 16% in

Flower Mita is not Crazy Mita. Flower Mita is only name dropped and not any of the Mitas we see in game sadly
