So I got this thought in my head that the Player is a MiSide dev that got addicted to his own game.
Not like an irl self-insert or anything, but an in-game dev and all that. That's why that ring he's using acts the way it does, since it's essentially a "developer key" in a way. Right down to going wherever is needed during the plot. And it's why he's never rejected from versions he enters.

Also I noticed that Crazy Mita acts very similarly to the Dummy Mitas that get rejected. Maybe she's one that got past inspection somehow and took over an already existing Mita's "house"?

Thats because she is a rejected dummy that gained self awareness and she has done so, in fact she took Kind Mitas place as we can see in the basement

Well as far as I understand, the Player we play as is likely one of the people that made MiSide in-universe.
The other players got lucky escaping, I'd think. Either through luck or just survivability. It's why that blonde one we met in the hallway after we escaped from Crazy didn't have one. Or even that one player crying in a corner that got turned into a chibi back when we had to open the door to get past that area.

Crazy had dealt with a lot of players. I imagine some actually had some form of strategy.

Yeah that makes sense. I should've considered that when I typed it. But how'd she manage to get that far along and not glitch out like the other ones did is interesting to me. From what Short-hair Mita said, getting self-awareness takes time in the dark. And seeing red eyes from a newly created Mita really should've raised some flags.

Yeah, the Kind's main plan was to stop the Crazy, while The Fool's plan was to just get out of the game, even tho they worked together, their plans were a bit different - the whole play through was a Kind leading The Fool to the core, to somehow find an answer on how to get rid off the Crazy, while finding out the way for him to exist the game, could be completely different

But that's just my speculation

So there wasn't too much cohesion between the plans of them both

First of all km did not get the specific info about cm that piece of paper has only garbage writren on it, and to respound to your question :

I've seen people saying CM is not supposed to be in the game. I think from what she says thats accurate if we can believe what she says in her lore dump. Also, with all the other mannequins being basically non thinking, CM must have been a prototype and wasn't what the developers wanted. That leads to the question of how she was able to traverse all the versions easily or how it seems she knows exactly who and where to be in order to subvert any act against her. And with KM being an unknown it could be that they all just want to help CM in some way.
