Ok here me out my stance has changes slightly but odds on
Crazy mita invades kind mita's version locks up kind mita and since kind mita never wants the player to be with her she already has a player that player was abducted by crazy mita and is somewhere
Crazy mita then proceeds to blackmail kind mita into helping her under the pretense of her giving kind mita a version where her and her player can live together (this would probably force kind mita to accept the conditions because its been stated mita's are designed to serve there player)
in addition to all this it explains kind mita always conveniently being there at all the correct times and that it isnt by complete coincidence but part of crazy mita's plan but she still seems to try help you a bit which would explain why it felt like crazy mita was infuriated by the fact you and kind mita met at the end and why crazy mita killed kind mita
im missing some points i though off but this is the basis of it (I'm suggesting this happens straight after the 1st basement sequence or at least crazy mita informing kind mita on what to do)

But we don't know anything about the other players. Only one that actually took an interest in saying HI first, or trying to engage was the blondie player.

Anyway, what I understand from the gameplay is that you are already a copy of you inside the game, and Crazy Mita the only she wants is to transfer that copy of you inside one of her cartridges to chose when to use you. In general, some dialogue options look very stupid. Despite the fact that the character doesn't seem to be completely dumb, he somehow processes what is happening badly in his head. He knows that he is in the game, but for some reason he does not use this fact for analysis or conclusions.
