How They Obtained Their Vision:

2.    ||In a forbidden ritual, offered loved one’s life essence to resonate with an elemental archon, earning an infused Vision.||
3.    ||In the eerie depths of an ancient leyline, struck a deal with a Fatui member, gaining a Vision but giving up their own memories.||

born into a cursed royale lineage, compelled to break the tragic fate cycle. when they attempted to end the lineage, the head of the family lashed out and injured them almost fatally. after being revived by a vision holder and awakening with newfound powers, they decide to confront their memories and do all that they can to interfere with the royal family's lives. however, they still get nervous in a fight and do what they can to avoid one, which leads to them overthinking every aspect of a plan. they can worry over safety precautions and any monsters within a three-mile radius even for a simple mission to get supplies or hunt for berries. however, they are a talented fighter and can hold their own in a fight as a last resort.

raised by a cult and indoctrinated into dark rituals, this character was always haunted by their past after escaping the cult as a teenager. throughout their young adult life, they tried to forget their past and struggled with the trauma that their childhood left them with. after a near-death incident, they gained a vision and the courage to confront their trauma. because of a general lack of socialization and normal human contact, especially in their childhood, they lack a filter when engaging in conversation, and are brutally honest to a fault. some of the things they say can be rather enlightening, but other times they simply come off as rude and condescending. :D 👍

Abandoned at a young age, they were taken in by a radical group following the Shogun. Willing to do anything to please their family, they hear a rumour about a person with the ability to hand out visions. Not an archon, not a deity, but a member of the fatui awaits them deep within an ancient ley line. Curious about this strange individuals rumoured powers, they inquire as to the limits of his ability. He is willing to share his knowledge, in exchange for something of equal value. Once he tells them, they are to tell him the whereabouts of their family in exchange for a vision, and with that, knowledge. Reluctantly they agree to these conditions, however the man is not to injure the cult that took her in. Onced they finish telling him, he starts speaking. Years and years of knowledge echoes across the desolate plain, and they will forever be the only person aware of it. The man finishes speaking, and after a long silence she asks him about the vision. The man stands still and quiet, for a while. Then he strikes. They wake up in the ruins of their old home, unable to remember anything but their name and origins. Infront on them, suspended in mid air, hangs a vision. Now theirs to keep. They have nothing anymore, and result to thievery and trickery in the streets of inazuma, forced to live in the shadows and use charm and lies to get what they want. Sometimes, its almost like they can still hear a distant, echoed voice, speaking words they will never be able to grasp.
