#how to learn Japanese?

step 1-Try to learn japanese from duolingo
step 2-Quit duolingo before u finish ur course
step 3-Watch yt tutorials which are 1 hour or above
step 4- go back to duolingo

duolingo does work but i recommend also searching up free resources of the language (ppl reccomend learning kanji first) and theres podcast on spotify called "Learn Japanese with Noriko" that well, can help u learn

also learning some basic sentences can help as well since it helped me with french

@/Issy?#3716 I learned reading Japanese during quarantine by writing out the letters and studying combinations. I’m not sure what kind of learner you are (environmental, visual, etc)

it depends on how you approach it

For me I study basic hiragana and since I’m more environmental learner I sometimes try to watch anime with japanese subtitles

tutorials help as well :)
