I mean it is hard to identify emotions when reading but it always narrows down from the sentences beforehand. The sentences before will always give you a context and scenes to how the MC is gg thru.

As a writer, I advice you practice empathy. Put yourself in the characters' shoes. Through that you'll be able to understand them better. While empathising, try to answer these questions:

  1. What am I feeling?
  2. What would I do in this situation? Would I do the same or change something?
