just know that this is an opportunity to show your teachers what you've got! after your exams you usually chill or do some extra work before things start calming down. begin studying because you hope to achieve higher than you expect, or to work towards something hard and not something that's monthly but annually! you've got this :D <3

ah PSLE
dont over stress, you can do this!
rmber to study the correct and most important stuff and also put more focus on weaker subjects
i also went thru smth like PSLE (similar but its for returning SGpreans)
i actually just put psle there for fun to see if anyone would get the hint that im taking psle this year hehe. i congratulate u for noticing the hint! thank u for the tips btw
(psle is literally in 2 days
)
you can make a bucket list of all the things you want to do the second the exam finishes, that's usually what I do to motivate myself
Lets do it, I will be your lofi girl if you do study
Or I can spank you if you dont
Pain is the best motivator
yes pls be my lofi girl HAHAHHA
ty for all the tips and motivation guys ily
@crude token or you know you can just imagine that the due date or the date of your exam is closer than you think, and the realization, will make you stop procrastinating
But take my words with a grain of salt, I've never studied for any exam in my life
just wing it and ding it lol
but I heard you have to study in hs so idk
Hey I'm not sure if this will help but having compassion for your future self works for me. I have severe adhd and what gets me studying is knowing if I do some now, future me will be less worried. Another thing is that unbeatable rush of dopamine when you sit down and know something. Lastly is positive reinforcement, not negative. Instead of saying "if I don't study I can't do this" go "if I do study I'll buy a coffee/play genshin/ get these cool stickers"
Why this works is if you associate studying with a positive reward, the squishy electric meat sponge in your head will get happy endorphins but if you punish it with "I won't play genshin if I fail" or "I'm not allowed my favourite dessert" ull start to get anxious and associate it with negativity
All i can say is do your best , PSLE is a huge stepping stone . Going to a secondary school of either 3 ; express , NA or NT . Best imo NA builds foundation more , no rush . Other than that , good luck :>
damn, PSLE. its been 4 years since i took that exam HAHA. but honestly, you cant just wait to get motivated in order to study. you just need to do it. ask your parents to lock up ur phone while ur studying. sit down at the desk and open the book. if ur ever unsure about a question/concept, clarify your doubts w the teacher. if ur too shy to ask in front of the class, ask after class, im sure theyll be more than willing to help.
basically, u cant sit around and just wait for someone to give u motivation, u just need to do it
that was what i did when i took the psle, i waited for motivation to hit me, and it never did. so i basically never studied for the exam. luckily though, i still managed to get 237 or 238 (idk cant rmb). but yeah. all the best
Hmmm actually, I had taken my PSLE like a good 10 years. You dont really need to scare yourself really. Look at me, my PSLE score is 154 and I am still able to pursue my studies in a field I want to be in Poly! all you have to do is go in the exam hall and do your best! I wish you all the best friend!!
HI EVERYYONEEE!! so psle is finally over!! it ended like 3 days ago i think LOL but anyways, ty guys for all the motivation u guys have given me!! now all i have to do is just wait for psle results…
while i wait for the results, i usually spend my time playing genshin and go out with family and friends!! cant wait to see what i get and which sec school i go to! luv u guys
Think of Klee
no problem! good luck on your grdaes, i'm sure you did phenominal! :D <3
wow, i just remembered about this post and omg. time really flies, its been 2 years since psle oh my gosh
im sec 2 now and i'll have to choose what subjects i want to take next year
i mean this is a homework discussion so does anyone have any tips on how to study more efficiently and stop my phone my addiction? do lmk bcus i rlly dont want to repeat sec 2
i need motivation to start studying and i need some help with math
and also, can someone help summarise linear expressions and equations
i remember taking psle the year b4 urs it was nerve-warcking
u can try the pomodoro technique which is the 25 min 5 min one
or u can just put ur phone somewhere else while u study n dont think of ur phone
anyways just dont stress too much
n i wish u gl for ur exams
and i suggest its best for u to choose the subjects ur personally interested in even if it may be hard
