you can do this yourself with just a resource pack
if you wanted the effects that the moon has on mobs, you’d need a mod though

yeah, i need a mod. i want the effects of moon phases to have an impact, that'S the whole point of this post. i'm working with a mod that makes the nights darker depending on the moon phase. it's called "True Darkness [Forge] - Updated Fork".

Ok, I got the mod mostly working. I also tried adding a setting where it mirrors the real moon phase. Since this relies on an api this could cause limit issues later on, so I probably will not keep this in

lol, I assumed you wanted fabric since this is the fabric discord. I don’t have any forge experience, but this mod is pretty simple and just uses a mixin, so I might be able to port it. I’ll look into it tonight

It should only have to be server side but should work on both, but I don't have experience with forge modding so I may not have implemented that correctly

i asked in a different server for sb to make a forge mod and they told me to search here. if you know the "the forge project " server exists, maybe invite me so i can ask there?
