#[1.21 Fabric] Glowing Eye of Ender mod

Bump
Like an overall glow like a light would or Minecraft's glowing effect (Outlined)?
Or emissive glow
I'm guessing you want it to be like the way dynamic lights from shaders work, where there's a bit of light around the eye when it's in item form on the ground?
The outlined effect is what I meant
Not necessarily like that just built-in glowing
No actual light
And hopefully it would work through blocks but that’s not required
So if it goes underground or in a tree or something you can see where it is
I’ll see if I could do something, what minecraft version?
And it would have to be a mod because you have to add the status effect to the entity, but it’s not a normal living entity like the player or a cow
1.21
Could it be client-sided?
Also, seems like some sort of glowing can be done with a datapack. An example is attached
All rendering is client side anyways.
And I guess that works but is it for all items?
Perfect
And it’s not for 1.21 as well
The datapack
Any update or progress on this?

boomp
Might try make a quick client side mod later. Do you also want it to glow a custom color or just plain default white?
not my mod but id make the dropped item have ender particles too
Like when the item dropped is on the ground it emits the particles or when it's in the air?
Should be doable but a little more complex I think.
both
I think the travelling in the air part already has them in vanilla
Started on some work, may even make a datapack later i got an idea for that too. https://github.com/Emafire003/EnderEyeGlow The client side mod is kinda working but i want to polish it a bit more. Like the particles aren't implemented yet.
Thank you. Please ping me next time though
I've added the particles to the dropped item, and fixed the coloring. I'll probably release a beta tomorrow, and then if everything works I may add a config screen or something
@lean palm (ping)
Sounds good
@mossy elm @lean palm #new-releases message tada
Tbf, I could probably easily port it to most other versions
Try to edit the fabric.json in the jar file, and edit the minecraft & java version to the one you need and see if it works
