its designed to make minecraft look like beta or alpha, but by selectively enabling tweaks, you can probably make it look like 1.8 as well

that seems like an oversight for nostalgic tweaks

it should really be an option as to allow for everything else to be used on servers

it CAN be turned off. since its a config option, like everything else in the mod. and its only bannable as a rule. not all servers have the same rules
