thats the issue, you shouldnt have a city as your capital, because the games notes you as a republic, and republics arent playable

Ck 3 reform works different than ck 2.
Leadership was a doctrine in and by itself.
So here's my idea: the doctrine god king requires you to have temporal leadership and everyone of the same religion gets a large opinion boost towards you, along side some stat bonuses or something.
Other faiths despise you and consider you evil.
You can't pick a synchretic faith with this doctrine.
-100 opinion cause proclaiming yourself god would definitely cause people to want to kill you

Nah the only issue in my world is the fact we only got the left side of valyria and not the rest 
French translation done. I took the liberty of replacing the "dragons" in the volcanic mines with the "Firewyrm", "Veurs de feu" in French, which I think is a better fit. 🇫🇷

It really depends on how you choose to view it.
You can view it positively and be glad and happy people are taking an interest in the wonderful mod you're creating ( like our man maksiu ) or you can view it negatively and get defensive and frustrated.
It really is a matter of how you choose to view it.
I know that i have personally tried to answer questions i knew the answers too when other people would ask along with trying to hype up the upcoming mod, i believe from what i seen so far that others in here is doing the same but if i have been a pain in somewhat way, i do wish to apologies and it won't happen again. The problem with creating a massive city is the fact that there's a lot of small counties.
Imo the COUNTY of valyria should be larger than all the others

I agree, although I'm pretty sure we don't know the full size of the city, old valyriaa wasn't islands prior to the doom, so so the city could have very well have been that big but most of it would be destroyed
I personally think that if Maki can just do to the rest of valyria, what they already have done to the first part, it would be okay and perfect until the massive essos mod comes out or until the agot mod team gets there 👐

Which is why I say the county itself should be very big with a lot of holding slots ( like in the north ) so that you can build a massive city

Valyrian administrative government will have much more power concentrated in the hands of the emperor than base game.
No one defied the dragonriders of old, and men trembled before them.
This should be properly implemented in the government.
Less plots against the emperor, less chance of saying no etc.
Also, unique vassal type: colony.
Valyria had colonies that had a large degree of autonomy like volantis, pentos, lys.
Kingdom level titles should have access to a colony administration type.
( ill leave makisuu to figure out the specifics )

That's what i been kinda saying since first update. keep it small and in the way you already have for now and ofc clean up here and there but don't throw an extreme amount of time into it now only for an update to come out and then have you start all over or making your work wasted

SHOW US THE FILTHY CULPRIT WHO CAUSETH MANY A DISCOMFORT !
So i use 3 mods
First one is called "Create Custom Duchy (UPDATED)" and the second one is called "One Duchy Kingdom | Easy Found a Kingdom Decision" and last one is called
Advanced Cheat Menu not to forget the mod called "move your capital"
So the thick is that the create duchy mod has a bug, the last county you conqure is going to be the one that has a duchy building. so i use the cheat menu to give myself the county i wish ( and the one with the dragonpit is ofcause the last county i take ) (you need 3 counties) then i make the discision to create custom duchy which removes the dragonpit that's already there (because it's bugged and will continue to be until the update) and then i use the descision to create an easy kingdom so i can build a new dragonpit (the one agot already got put in) in that way, the old dragonpit gets removed ( you keep the bonusses because it's bound to country and not building ) along with a working now a working dragonpit that therefore removed the dragonkeeper bug.
and if you do it correct, there will be a total of 3 kingdoms in valyria and therefor you can also make it into an Empire.
I though you were gonna figure out a proper fix not some creative way to get around it
SO if you do it correct, blue can be a duchy. yellow a kingdom. purple a kingdom. green a kingdom. you keep the duchy building part and you get to have dragonpits in each of those kingdoms. 😅

I have the opposite problem.
I have no issue waiting for the islands but this bug with the dragonpit ( and also the time and money it takes to colonize ) is what kills any sort kf playthrough idea for me.
Personally, i haven't had any of their updates ruin my saves, i do that plenty myself because i find awesome mods such as these all the time 😅
I hear ya, i would say cheat mod fixes most of that. yes it will take some work to get the start you'll like but it can work. for example, i ain't going to wait 20+ years in game time just to have 1 castle at valyria. so i use the money command and instabuild command to get my castle. after that, i use the money command to remove the left over so i'm back to the money the game started me with and then i go from there. or take some nobody in game above of lys and use that char to make it so valyria is no longer a ruin and take it from him. there is so many ways to get a proper start at valyria if you wish to at this point. if you already have a save game going and you can't take the land from anyone then you can use the colonize event command in debug and do it that way through. and remember, then game let's you have more then 1 dragonpit so worst case, build a second one in your kingdom and then make it so your dragonkeeper stays there until the update is out 🙂

How do you use another character to restore a ruin ?
pause your game and change to a different charecter and use that person to do what you wanna do and once you're ready, change back and kill them off 🤷♂️
But the land won't go to your character
It follows inheritance rules

I don't know "devine intervension" to well but it's pretty easy to do with advance cheat menu. like everything is pretty straight forward with that and makes even debug menu easier

The counties
Well with the advance cheat mod, you just right click on the invicible man "who owns the ruins" and press the one that says "take title" and take away their title? it's then given to you. then i normally use the money command, upgrade the ruins and buying the rest of the area''s around valyria. once i pressed upgrade ruin on each of the counties then i put in the command instabuild in debug and it completes the buildings, i repeat it a total of 3 times. then i press unpause for a in game day so the event with castle, temple or town is triggered and yea, pick castle for each one and then jump over to my own toon and use first part texted here to take the titels from the random char and afterwards i use debug to kill the random char so their hair will get his original county while you're keeping Valyria 🤷♂️

I haven't had issues in neither of the dragonpits that's already there in the base mod, so no issues in pentos, kinglanding nor dragonstone.
I haven't had any issues with dragonpits i had to build in other kingdoms neither. only dragon pit i had an issue with is the one at valyria but i still don't have any issues with the other dragonpits while this one is active if that makes sense?

It just had messed up initialization, it wasn't recording properly the dragonpit being setup, so dragonkeeper couldn't stick around since it didn't exist correctly

I have a problem, when I build any Dragon pit that is not in Kings Island or Dragonstone, a message appears as if it is invalid for funding at the court and the pit is built but I can't hire any dragonkeeper and it doesn't lay any eggs or dragon inside, it's as if it doesn't exist, has anyone ever had or seen this problem?, thanks in advance!

Maki, with this code you should be able to delete the reference to the volcano in the create dragon pit scripted effect. As what this code now does is replicates how Dragonstone works.

The owner of the mod posted a mod that solves this problem, I haven't tested it yet, but whenever I put the 2 together the city disappeared

Fixing the Dragon Bond submod, he is doing soo many extra checks.
At one point, he checks for the dragon pit 4 different times, rather than checking for the dragonpit and then checking conditions and splitting from there. Instead he does four top level checks for the dragonpit.

So back in CKII days when you were working on a mod like Gehimisnacht, you had to be very careful in your coding because the game was unstable, and that mod pushed the limits of what could be done.

Ah, hey, so I have fxed the interaction. so the issue is that the Valyria dragonpit is a title based dragon pit. So it needs a check for the title.
To be honest the underlying interaction is very heavy in repitition. What they should have done is checked for any title with the dragon_keepers_order variable.

tbh, even the bugfix yesterday for the dragonkeepers order shows that the underlying code is a bit repititive.
First game i got to be a game tester for was Shadow of War ( Assassin's creed lord of the rings cover ) and the amount of bugs and overall things wrong with that game in the beginning and how it ended 🙏
If you have a dragonpit, then you necessarily have a provine with the variable dragonkeeper_order set.
So you can just check for a title with the dragon keeper variable, and boom
you don't need to check for any particular title.

They keep doing very circular triggers.
In the on_actions when a building was complete, they were checking three times for a dragonpit building higher than tier 1, or the Drgonstone title.
And they were checking it with both a check in the on_action and a scripted trigger.
So it was doing the same check twice.

tbh, it could probably go in this mod maki, or at least until I rewrite it to be more expandable.

Why don't you come out of being retired and help Maksi with the codeing stuff and then he can focus on the islands and placement and so on? 👀 i got no actual idea what it takes to make any of this but it overall sounds like a good idea if you worked together throughout this mod 👀
