I’ve conquered the free cities and half of the stepstones and dubbed them new Valyria I’m now down to the third generation in my line my current ruler is about to go to war with a family member who wants my place so hopefully I will get to see some dragon on dragon combat very soon

you could spawn a dragon, the artifact history itself would be inaccurate, but you could change the variable on the artifact (dragon_age) and give it the equivalent artifact modifier (..._dragon_modifier) and remove the hatchling_dragon_modifier

Mature Dragons:

Ancient Dragons:

dragon_age = 150-199
those are the equivalent modifiers and ages
but if you are doing this by spawning a new dragon, as I said, once you add those to the artifact you must remove the old dragon modifier
and then tick like a week to two weeks and it should be accurate

Now, when I say dragon modifiers, I mean directly on the artifact itself, because the dragonrider modifiers are auto given to you and you shouldn't mess with them

I typically play for 3-500 year spans. If I were to hybridize, how long you think before I'd lose access? Is this as simple as marrying a valerian every so often? Apologize for the questions, I'm at work and steam won't let me open the mod page.
I think I'm overthinking this nevermind, it isn't restricted to high valerian like the other mod you just have to be related to one directly.

- I am actually currently re-working it, tis gonna be strictly going to fly to a dynasty member who is high valyrian or of high valyrian descent, from that character it can be claimed through interaction (specific) or decision (Dragon free within your family)
- They will only disappear if no one of High Valyrian descent is left in your dynasty
I made a few coding errors in the initial release
but I have fixed them afaik, the error spitting is gone

@rapid vigil if you want to use new update you will have to change variables on all dragons in your game but its doing and quick enough with debug mode
basically there is a variable rn dragon_rider, you literally just have to change it to has_dragon_rider, I had to rename it and change some stuff with the code but I think that should fix it? just make sure its a boolean

you can feed people to your dragon now (depending on your traits)
you can ask specific people to claim one of their unclaimed dragons

Especially now that dragons stack in battle.
Otherwise you just... have one dragon, that gets inherited by the player heir by just claiming it all the time when you die.
But a house that decides to just cradle every babe with an egg, will build up an army of dragons that will destroy you if you go careful.
But once you and your children die, there'll be half a dozen dragons around, and you as your character can only guarantee you claim a single one.
Anyone daring enough can try to claim a dragon outside of your house.
Food for thought for this mod and the eventual mechanic in the main mod.
And well, you can't enforce your will upon your entire dynasty when a vhaegar level threat is claimed by a stranger. And your 20 year old character comes with their not-even-adult dragon.

I think he only allowed his firstborn and secondborn to cradle/claim a dragon. And the rest had to cope.
