Valyrian Baratheon, Recreated

This has been highly requested, so with the little knowledge I had in digital art, I went ahead and made it. I think it looks good, but I want your feedback!

Here is the asset you need to add to the mod

to add it to the mod, copy and paste the file to this folder Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod\AGOT\gfx\coat_of_arms\colored_emblems

then, open the text file named 50_coa_designer_emblems.txt and duplicate one of the lines declaring the CoAs, or just paste this anywhere below the hashtagged lines:
cl_baratheon_valyrian.dds = { colors = 3 category = agotheraldrycrownlands }
preferably place it after cl_baratheon_old where it belongs alphabetically.

and BAM! you got yourself Orys Baratheon's hypothetical Valyrian Baratheon CoA from CK2AGOT!!!

I don't have a Mac but it should be fairly similar. Find wherever the AGOT mod folder is then complete the same steps with a simple text editor

Dumbo question, how do you get this in-game? Add it as a personal shield via the decision, or is there a way to add it in the ruler designer from the start?

I added it per the instructions, so it's in the game now. But how do I actually obtain it or select it when creating my toon's COA? Or do I have to be a Valyrian Baratheon for it to be an option somehow?

You can always open the folder by going to Paradox launcher, click on the three dots near the green your-mod-is-active box, select "Go to Folder". That will take you where you need to go every time.

It’s really easy to do, I usually struggle with this type of stuff but it couldn’t be simpler

Just download the file and look up these things in your folders and place it in them

You don’t have to replace anything, you just put it below it

You just click on the mod in the launcher and it takes you to the file location

Put the file in the gfx

Look up the 50 coat of arms, open it and copy the line and place it below the other

and edit the 50_coa_designer_emblem txt and add cl_baratheon_valyrian.dds = { colors = 3 category = agotheraldrycrownlands } under crownlands

FYI for anyone having trouble getting the black and yellow bars to match the field background, just increase the emblem size until it fills the whole shield. Took me forever to figure this out, but simple as can be.

That’s because they’re installed through the workshop I believe, if you search through steamapps/workshop/content you’ll eventually find the mod you’re looking for. Just flick through and have the view set to large icons so you can see the mods thumbnail picture

There’s probably a quicker way to find it but that’s roughly the way I’d do it

It’s easier to open the CK3 launcher and in the mod list select open file location of the mod you’re looking for

Is there any way to just get the code to paste this? It works fine with your instructions, but every time that Steam updates AGOT the 50_coa_designer_emblems.txt file is scrubbed and the addition of this COA gets deleted. Would much prefer to just paste it to a COA when I'm in ruler designer if possible, because that always works.

I'm trying to find the original artist so I could credit them, but it's proving to be harder than expected. So, I'd appreciate the help. As soon as we find them and get their permission, the mod will be uploaded.

multiple people worked on CoAs throughout the mod's life and I can't find their most of their names as written in the credits when I search online. So, if someone who was on the mod team, back when the Aegon's Conquest bookmark was added, sees this, I'd appreciate the help

Does this replace the Baratheon COA or is this for players
