Decided to make a single post because each of these 2 mods is pretty small and basically have the same goal.

The first, for the Night's watch, simply changes the localization of the Kingdom and Empire tiers of the NW title so that it actually says "The Night's Watch" instead of "The Wall". It shows up on the character screen and the map. Compatible with everything.

The second submod is for the Iron Islands. I didn't like how, when zoomed out on the map, names couldn't span the archipelago and instead were localized over each island. This submod makes all map names go across the islands, which I find more pleasing to look at. Unfortunately, I did have to add 2 straight crossings to do it, so if you don't like that, don't go for this. I don't mind because the CK2 version had even more connections between islands. This submod is also incompatible with any others that change the map (if there are any).

Update: Iron Islands mod no longer has usable straights, they've been replaced with one straight so impractically long that armies don't use it even when they are sitting at one end and trying to go to the other. Gameplay effect reduced to practically nothing

#

New update: Nope, works for a while, but I guess the pathfinder eventually realizes it can use it and it messes everything up

Also my own workshop copy of the NW mod doesn't seem to work, can anyone confirm for me that it works for them?

I think the Iron Island straights can make sense in-lore. The islands are culturally and politically connected enough, and close enough, that I'd easily imagine dedicated ferries being in constant use between them. Representing the fairly easy crossing in-between.

#

(against my own point, one could also argue that an invading force on the islands may not be able to make use of these hypothetical ferries. But there's tons of ships and boats everywhere one can headcanon they're using to cross between islands even without local ferry support)

Yeah that's how it was in the CK2 mod

Updated Iron Islands mod. Can't get the NW one to work on my end for some reason, not sure if it's not being recognized by the launcher or what. If anyone can confirm that it works for them (even the old version should be fine) please let me know
