Oh man, I wonder what that X account did?
Me too, the meme potential is high. They have a godamn floating gatling gun rabbit
Also the fact that they are ripping off Blizzard too is hilarious
Maybe it was automated because people reported it for whatever?
Automation definitely is a large part why they got kicked
Would expect that out of Youtube before Twitter tbh
are there even any devs of it visible on Twitter
12.3 GB of detective pikachu dance loop
Considering the level of bullshit they are pulling off it would not surprise me
"dangit, got fooled again"
Someone on steam discussed with me how the dev studio isn't even a registered business, chances are the company is also fake
Their own trailer spelled the studio name wrong twice
Looking forward to Pickmon Raids
I mean the company is named “PocketGame”
Yeah its what sparked the debate to begin with
But I got no insight on how to find a "registered" dev studio so I can't say anything about it
They are playing 4D chess, they want people to talk about it non-stop
the company had the name PokeGame also at some point, both are in fact in that trailer if they didn't remove it
It's workin
Well fuck them, its working on me
Obviously.
This raid boss flies away at 50% HP and you never get anything for beating it https://imgur.com/NmnnOeu
You don't need to make a good game these days, you just need to rip off actual good similar games & be an idiot to succeed in 2026
It’s a full-on captureslop dev team
The Pickmon Before
They are now LEGALLY DISTINCT! By calling themselves PocketGame it's an entirely different entity!!!!!!!
but it still shows both in the trailer
if that game even makes it to publishing there ain’t no way they’ll land it on Nintendo Switch
PlayStation actually whatever
PokeItGame
Nintendo will acquire Pickmon and it will be their champion against Palworld.
Nintendo will hire Doctors and Scientists to make the game extra stupid, and then set it loose on the world
Oh no is it Pocket Game or PocketGame?
It will first seek out and devour Palworld, next I would imagine Digimon, and then... the rest
If it eats Yugioh, all is lost, as Exodia lies within
This is such blatant fraud that I honestly think Nintendo is behind this.
Nintendo sets up a dummy company to make a fake game trailer and Steam page.
The game steals assets from Pokémon, Zelda, Palworld, Craftopia, and a few others.
Nintendo sues Pickmon and wins.
Then
Wow Craftopia mentioned, based
i don't find pocketgame in the Chinese repository, just this
What matches is that they are a phone dev

look for the publisher, since it's most likely just a subsidiary company they made
well im dressing up for work so I'll look it up either after work or during
which ever brings me more boredom
are you doing escort services?
Im a mechanic
I'm not judging your clients
what are implying you weirdo
I'm just jesting
Jest justing
Maybe we could try to convince Thanos to go to war with Pickmon before that happens?
I'm not French
or are you
I had one class year of french in school but wasn't allowed to continue.
I then took spanish and had an F
Maybe we should convince thanos that he should allow this to happen
All the cool kids I played with during the war exile spoke spanish and were some of the coolest friends i made so i cant say i hate Spanish
I hate English
I don't mind any language. Then again I have not tried to learn it.
We need the dimensional merge now more than ever
i had German in school, we didn't get English classes
I two had german in school.
it was a weird system that let every 2 generations do 1 foreign language
I had a 5 in it, whenever they tried to get me to understand grammar, and I had a 2 in english, because they only had past, present and future.
actual foreign languages in school were either french or spanish.
but the spanish teacher sucked, gave me a bad grade in geology as well because that old hag just had no good way of teaching stuff, if I had known who lead that class I would've never picked it.
Bring in the heavy hitters! I call upon Warhammer 40K, Dragon Ball, and Marvel as the front-line troops!
I will also reserve Battletech, One Piece, and DC as the second line.
Tertiary lines will involve Star Trek, Naruto, Starcraft, Gundam, Zoids, and many others.
If all else fails, we will summon Cthulu as the last resort.
My old school runescape character will pwn them all
Spanish should be the easiest for you to learn
Unlike French it’s similar to English
There is one more thing: the series I currently have in the works. Since nothing is released, I can't really share information before I can get it copyrighted. However, I will say this:
The main characters are all powerful in their own ways.
The villains are often stronger still.
The remains of a long-dead civilization who still have unbelievable power, and fight with the fury of a force of nature.
Last but not least, there are objects that serve as my inspiration to Marvel's infinity Stones. In this case, they are pieces of the beings who created everything in this specific corner of existence...
I wanna put the infinity stones in the large hadron collider & see what happens
Most sane Warhammer story writer
You might end up erasing the planet at best.
No spanish sounds awful
Dead internet
🤔Do you think people will infiltrate and get reported by the bots?
I mean Facebook is already just a bunch of bots so maybe they can just stop pretending and merge the user base
They won't stop pretending because they need it for the advertising scam they run with that
Security researchers later found that Moltbook had major vulnerabilities that allowed humans to impersonate AI agents on the platform.
Only if they find out.
I maintain that 99% of the "AI" on moltbook are either literally a human or are posting basically exactly what a human instructed them to post
Make it immeasurably more expensive to do for no reason
Microsoft’s “Xbox mode” is coming to every Windows 11 PC next month. It’s no longer called “Xbox Full Screen Experience” and it’s just Xbox mode now www.theverge.com/games/892875/microsoft-xbox-mode-windows-11-gdc
Ok, still not going to use it
Gross, more xbox crap
il try it in a wm to see if it reads xbox discs

Thats the only reason id like it
Old shows and being shortened for streaming and you're not even realizing it. If they can do it with books and tv, imagine what else they can erase without our knowledge

indeed.
this isnt new
even in the 80's, shows broadcast on national tv were cut massively
If you watched a touch of frost growing up, they had 40 minute time slots
The uncut episodes were 1hr 30
Streaming services upload what they get from the studios. Odds are the cut versions are just what they were handed.
Tiktok views
Yeah everything is just for views and attention now
well at least now we know
Contrary to what some may believe, I don't think we as a species have been made any dumber by the internet. Rather, all the stupid people are doing the same stupid things and publicizing it.
Posts like this make me question that stance.
Me looking at the health risks of making houses out of asbestos or using lead to make pipes
🙁
To become ButterflyMan!
The best houses are made of brick or even iron
Iron is a terrible material for a house
It conducts heat super easily so like
Unless you specifically have a house in always ideal temperature, it will suck
It can be much worse than wood
Now instead of your house burning down it’s now a microwave that conducts heat faster
Cinderblock house with insulation is good.
Cinderblock without insulation kinda sucks
That’s better, too
Just use iron instead of siding and drywall as well as the support
Put some rebar in it, for good measure
I used to build houses out of copper in Minecraft
I chuckled at that >.>
And my work here is done
I'm in favor of brick houses. Better against hurricane damage
And big bad wolves
This. Houses everywhere need to be storm and earthquake proof
“Guys, if the straw house worked as intended the wolf wouldn’t have been able to blow it down”
I would put it on reinforced concrete stilts and build it like a tank.
Hurricane resistance is less about material and more about design
The storm surge of a typical hurricane will easily push down iron walls, or push the entire thing off its foundation
90% housing here is brick work with steel/iron rods in walls/foundations/roof
Basically the first weakness of an exposed wall is going to be ripped apart so the only way to make a structure actually resistant is either an absurdly durable structure or elevation
Some people build privacy fences out of aluminum
They did a demonstration that a house being elevated just a few feet makes it remain basically completely intact while a loser building is completely demolished
Im a native Floridian, I know about hurricane proofing your home
*lower
Also, none of the houses here are 2 stories
As taller houses get more fucked up
Lower building
I mean it is a loser building because it got wiped off the map
Mine is on a brick foundation with a crawlspace
I keep forgetting most houses in the south don’t have basements
Not unless you go up to the Appalachians or Ozarks
Which I would actually love to because endless summer is boring and miserable
You build your house much lower here and you’ll be below sea level
I couldn't tell you how many times we've had our fence completely knocked over by a wicked hurricane
My fence survived many hurricanes. It was taken down by Ivan xD
2024 hurricane season was beyond brutal for certain parts of my state
Have you guys ever heard about any of the derechos that happen in the midwest during late summer?
I am not sewer slide all

Nvidia, oh how far you have fallen...

California is not real
i can't tell what my opinon on california should be
Its like hated on by everyone
no matter political affiliation
Every time I think of California...
||
The song, California Girls plays in my head.
||
It’s not what it used to be

Well that's because california is like an entire country but puny monkey brain sees it as a state and reduces all of its politics as such
And like, if you take all the food in your cabinet and blend it into a single smoothie it is going to taste vile
maybe this sentence is proof I should be going to bed
the ultra rich love it
the poor and the middle class are being pushed out soon it will be full of only the rich which is what they want
The ultra rich are the ones bailing (cause they can)
if you have ever been to cali its such a pretty state its almost a paradise
people leave because cost of living is going through the roof but the rich can afford to stay
look at the groccery stores in la fucking erwon and shit its all only for the rich not for the middle class or the poor
erwon somehow still being in business with there business model show's how backwards it is over there
Gotta be rich just to exist there
Ultra rich pull their businesses
well jeff bezos knows rich people dont need to work in his ware houses
elon musk puts in a ton of telsa dealer ships because rich people love his cars for some reason
gucci coach etc luxery brand stores are everywhere
Elon is one who left
They still have the plant but they’re operating out of TX now
Been that way for a while
its engineering hub is still in cali
as well as its biggest factory and a ton of dealerships
whats your point
we are both wrong
its in texas and has the nickname "Giga texas"
guess it makes a car every 40 seconds
Giga Texas is a work in progress last I heard but I believe the CTs are made there
China has their own plant
im looking at the website it says they make the model y and the cyber truck
Yeah
china is a joke when it comes to making cars
And 4680 cells
Hehe, well…
tesla has its problems but at least the cars go through a lot of tests and shit so all the models dont explode like the evs do in china
china has a big problem with there ev cars catching on fire or just breaking down after about a month
There’s like 130k gas fires a year
Battery fires are like single or double digits
Oh, guess it’s more like 200k now, sheesh
in just the US

Anyway, games
https://x.com/wario64/status/2031884087586123975
And that's about the number it will cap at
Did you fact check the 130k?
Or are battery fires actually more common in the US
I recalled the number was a while ago, but yeah it’s way more now
When it comes to battery fires you’ve probably heard of every single one that’s ever happened
Because it’s worldwide news every time.
giga texas is a stupid name
i know everyone already knew that but I wanted to point it out, all the same
should see the dudes kids names
Bold of you to assume I pay that much attention to the news
he forget one because he has so many and he legit said "sounds like a password" when a reporter asked about that child
elon musk isint the best with names
i've heard LITERALLY NOTHING BUT POSITIVE REVIEWS
He names his kids like motherboards
fr one of his kids names is
Don't waste your time, Prima. It's typical "I hate Nintendo so much I'll ignore evidence" talk
X Æ A-12
This kid is gonna have trouble getting jobs because their name will be incompatible with their database schema
did yall see that tweet from elon saying money cant buy happiness after his net worth passed 850 billion like give it to the homeless or something then dude
they will alyways get the best jobs because of there daddy
nepotism is crazy in the usa
Yeah but if the database schema doesn't allow it then the database schema doesn't allow it
if anything elon will find him a job at tesla or space x
or twitter
dude owns so many companies
Nintendo would never. Sad, but honestly understandable 'cause I wouldn't own a Switch if the games were on PC
It's a weird phenonemon where being extremely wealthy causes you to become paranoid that everyone is out to get you, and you become desensitized to the wealth
In other words, money doesn't make you happy
Pokopia is moving systems
it's like
you can't give it up because the luxury is your new baseline of happiness
but you don't like it because there are so many people who are probably plotting to take it from you right now
This is probably because these people always become rich by playing dirty and stabbing others in the back so the idea of anyone who ISN'T plotting a coup is just incomprehensible
money lays the foundation for the abilty to be happy it dosent make you happy
like you need money to be able to do things like go on road trips etc
if you just have money and nothing else what do you have
They are raised to be corporatists and the only world they know is one where you are either backstabbing or getting backstabbed, so every penny in their account is a bigger target for someone to backstab them
And like, having a luxury penthouse and 3 personal butlers is their baseline for living, the idea of living "normal" is to them as insane as if I suggest to you that you should live like a medieval peasant
And because it's normal, they don't feel the joy anyone else does when they imagine that amount of money
because if they did, they would probably die from stress related complications
I know having plenty makes happiness so much more easily available, but I was jokingly saying that part to wrap around back to the start of the convo. Yeah, the statement isn't exactly wrong, but it's still ironic coming from the people who live without our worries
its the dictator mindset you have so much wealth and power you can never trust anyone you alyways assume someone is out to get you or are only being nice to you because they want something and not every billionare came up with a silver spoon in there mouth warren buffet and jeff bezos came from nothing
It's not because they have wealth and power, it's because they were raised and protected in a bubble of "kill or be killed"
Switch 2s of course
Take a wild guess
Like, when they see someone actually being nice, they think that someone surely has some nefarious scheme, or is an idiot
because that's what they're raised to think, that's the world they live in
What first aid said
I've been enjoying Pokopia a ton lately. The only other games I really return to are much more intense (Haz 5 Deep Rock and Deadlock) so Pokopia is a nice break from them
in 60-80 years
The ever so humble car accident:
not every billionare was raised in that environment a lot come from middle class working house holds never taught the brutal business mindset warren buffet for example while not poor he did not come from a rich family he comes from a working mans family
after your usefulness to the corporate elite has expired and the plausible deniability has come due
it seems like a lot of them where born like that or learned it over time or there just very very greedy people who know how to run a business
but no matter the background coming from poverty wealth whatever most of them are greedy so fucking greedy
elon musk could have fed 44 million people in 43 countries and keep them from starving for a year if he gave the un 6.6 billion back in 2021 but he never did
they did they made a plan
its..the world food program
"its useless garbage dont donate to it fuck them starving kids"
"dog water"
souless type shit man gtfo out of here and touch grass
they want to give food to countries
there not meant to fix infastructure
they are the "world food program"
there job is to keep people from starving via giving them food
very simple concept
there JOB isint to solve the bigger problems dude
they give food to north korea
why because they have starving people there and they want to feed them
thats there JOB
this has to be rage bait
you cant be this dense dude
should we stop giving out vaccines in africa because the local goverment cant?
should we stop helping them out because there goverment has problems?
just focus on the bigger problems
your logic is like "well there country cant feed them so we shouldint we should focus on the problem on why there goverment cant feed them"
so we should let them starve?
fuck them kids in africa and the middle east
because no food
goverment suck
we help via giving food
your retar
ded
by your logic we should let children starve all over the world because there goverments are corrupt and cant do it themselfs
your just evil dude
your just morally bankrupt dude
never have i seen a person try to defend a billionare not giving money to a food program
what a boot licker
then give it to charity
point is dude said he would give it to them then didint
how does it feel to lick that boot
taste good?
dude you ride him like a rodo show
world view challenged i just want elon musk to donate to help poor people when he said he would
and your over here like "Erm actually"
can we not defend billionares that said they would do shit then didint
like i said boot licker
"sure do cry" i need tissues over here man but no your whole argurment is that the goverments that we help cant do it themselfs like "why do the people not have food" because the goverment cant provide it and your like "why is that" idk dude because complex problems that are irrelvent to the conversation
the world food program dosent go in to solve local problems they go in to stay netrual and give food to people in need plain and simple
starving people should get food
being a bigot dosent make you right
your seeing the world food program as a program that is meant to solve problmens when there are other things in the world that do that
it is apart of the un that is supposed to solve those problems
the un is trying to solve them
but its hard and complex
a way they try to help is via gving food
among a lot of other things
the world food program is one of many un programs
i see what your trying to say
"its falling its not working so why give money"
because your dense
very
and a boot licker like a massive one
What is this arguing in the funny #off-topic channel?
bored and trying to kill time

i use your speaking points when i try to argure my point i use your logic to try to help you understand me
but im dense
ok
Skin bags filled with meat, organs, bones. Dense indeed (scientifically speaking)
matter is nothing but dense
and we are nothing but matter
so are we nothing but dense?
these are the questions that keep me up at night
oof just like to debate man
i guess i got under your skin
anyway someone answer my question
As dense as a neutron star
guys i think we need to band together and write gabe a very well worded email asking for half life 3
HL3 is a steam machine launch title
Hopefully before GTA 6. We've been waiting longer, it's only fair. :p
🙏
i see it being a vr title with there new vr shit
or maybe it will be a hybrid
like you can play it on the new stem deck console or the new vr
It might, but they have been affected by the electronics shortage brought on by AI.
i hate ai
I initially thought Half-Life Alyx was the "Half-Life 3".
i guess you could argure that it is
Who doesn't? It is not surprising because all the good uses that actually matter are drowned out by the sea of cases abusing it.
I thought it was a prequel to Half-Life 2.
about the only people who like it everyone else hates it
I guess it is.
-# I really need to play the Half-life series at some point.
While I think there's nothing inherently wrong with "AI" as they call it, the reckless pursuit of it to the detriment of everything and everyone, I certainly object to that.
im suprised a game as old as half life can run well on modern systems
a lot of older games like that tend not to run well on modern hard ware
And that is the part I truly hate. I am perfectly fine with it when it is used responsibly, not when it is dumbing down the next generation, destroying the environment, and causing electronic prices to spiral out of control.
ai is pandoras box
Exactly. It has been described as a "cognitive amplifier", but people rely on it to think for them, it's actually dulling their ability to think.
kids now a days legit say to teachers "why should i learn to read when ai can just read for me"
"why should i learn how to do x y z when ai can just do it for me"
Not to mention replacing real humans in the pursuit of ultimate efficiency only to get very inferior quality and greatly increased system fragility. In fact, there are no cost savings to switching to AI as far as I have heard.
I also thought generative AI was a cute plaything until I realised how it was essentially created by stealing people's art and reconstituting it. I found it a lot more distasteful after that.
a lot of companies are hiring back humans because they found out ai isint as advanced as they thought
they thought ai was as smart or even smarter then a human
to be fair the people at the top of those companies are old people who have no grasp on what ai is
Also, AI are very easily fooled. Did you hear about the Reddit story where someone convinced a General Motors AI to sell them a brand-new Chevy Tahoe for only $1? To put it bluntly, it was a massive PR nightmare for GM.
Yes, I think "AI" has been sold to a lot of people who didn't actually know what they were being sold, another buzz word, like they thought that magic beans would make their business run for them.
a guy was able to gain root to google via chat gpt
google shit it self
The magic beans were moldy beans.
It's also interesting how Microsfot has been mandating the use of AI with their workforce, and their new operating system springs leaks constantly now.
the funny thing about ai that fucks a lot of people is when its wrong it will appear like its right
no matter what you ask it has to give an answer even if it has to lie to you
it will lie to you to get an answer if it has to
i remember when google ai was telling people to put glue in pizza to make it strech more
I saw a UK Barrister questioning an AI on law on his Youtube channel and he was running rings around it logically. It was hilarious.
Giving a resolution above everything else. That mindset causes a lot of problems further down the line.
they NEED to shove it down your throat so you get used to it in everything they spent all this money on this thing they dont care if you dont like it there gonna force you to use it
For example, he was asking how to efficiently get to a car wash to wash his car, and it was telling him it would be time-efficient to walk there, then he had to explain to it that if he walked he couln't actually get his car washed unless he went back home and brought his car back with him. lol
windows is so fucking bloated with ai shit and other programs its absurd
but microsoft has to put it in there os or no one would use it and they invested so much fucking money they cant afford to not to
I've been making a lot of google searches about Linux recently. Nothing concrete, but just laying groundwork....
linux is a god send
the only reason i got windows was because i was worried that a lot of games wouldint work on linux
but if microsoft starts asking for my id for age verfication im going to linux
I've always considered Linux to be scary and niche, but I'm starting to see it as more viable when Microsoft is so keen to dril holes in the floor of their raft.
its not scary or niche
its a os that gives you complete and utter freedom
you can do anything with linux and i do mean anything
And yet, they are dealing with a societal version of Newton's 3rd Law of Motion: By pushing the AI slop as hard as they are, they are beginning to get an equal pushback with the dissenting voices being force-fed it. The harder they push, the more resistance they will ultimately encounter.
Yup. I'm going to start with the most basic baby's first distro and work from there.
anti-ai sentiment is seriously astro-turfed online.
in some areas they have resistance but then you have world goverments eating ai shit up
the usa goverment is using chat gpt in there military what the fuck is going on
Did you hear the recent statement from Nvidia about "Profiting from Scarcity"?
Also the OS age verification laws will apply to everything with an OS, including things that fall in the overly broad definition of an "OS". People need to fight these bills.
good luck implenting that with linux
aint gonna work with something as open source as linux
Ideally, Nvidia wouldn't have governments giving them preferential treatment at the burden of everyone else, and they would have to compete for resources more fairly.
To this I say, "Here, you sit upon your throne, with a crown upon your head, and yet you are lesser now than you have ever been."
Open source projects don't all have legal teams and are too small to pay the massive fines per user. There's no fault against the user, for now, though it being a threat to devs is enough to take away developments and customer freedoms.
When they reported that anthorpic was training it's AI from millions of pirated books, yet these companies are always screeching that piracy is awful I did not find the hypocrisy cute. Especially as these companies push subscription models that deny users ownership of things they are paying money for in the first place.
All because parents can't parent and governments want to government and grab more power.
With AI vibe coding much of it, they are about to burn it to a crisp, perhaps even reduce it to ash at this rate.
the basic os for linux is everywhere and so easy to download and install
Yeah, copyright is a cruel joke that's inconsistent with property rights. Ideally nobody "owns" ideas, yet here we are with property rights being violated at the behest of thinkers at the expense of builders.
there is no way of purging it from the internet
slowly windows is loosing its top spot
south korea completly switched from using windows to using linux
Whatever api may end up getting added to my distro is something I'll just have to add to my config files to block downloading and installing when I do updates.
funny enough co pilot is a nightmare for IT people
co pilot is such a security risk
I am planning on switching to a dual setup with Ubuntu and SteamOS soon.
I really should be asleep right now but now I'm involved in a discussion about the Machiavellian "think of the children" movement online. lol
Fedora KDE works well now that Nvidia drivers added implicit sync for Wayland, I'll have to see what Redhat and the Fedora dev team do about these laws though.
"think of the children" from the same goverment that deals with the epstine files
It's no better here in the UK, sadly.
oh god dude that place is cyber punk larping
the more i look at it the more i see cyber punk
you guys have digital ids and need to give up your id to go on twitter what the fuck
I am in a similar spot right now, too. 😆
Put it this way, the people defending our free speech the hardest right now is Big Tech, and they aren't doing it to be altruistic.
free speech in the uk dosent exist
i can go to jail for tweets over there
i can go to jail for making fun of a police officer
i saw a teen getting arrested because she said a police officer looks like her atustic aunt
This creates far more problems than it actually solves. A "hacker's paradise" as I like to call it. Discord needs to think long and hard before committing to the kind of push everyone's been blasting them about as of late.
Wait wasn't that an autistic teen saying that she looked like her lesbian aunt?
discord already had a massive data breech lol
the fbi was also just hacked today
Oh, yeah, I forgot about the point that was already made! 😂😂😂
something like that
funny thing is they said they dont keep your data and delete it
who would have thought they would lie to us
Who would believe them? I certainly won't!
If anything she probably adores her lesbian aunt so it was most likely a compliment... she was basically arrested for being autistic... we can be a bit awkward like that sometimes, especially as kids/teens/young adults
i wouldint say she was arrested for being autistic she was arrested for just being silly
That's what I mean
Classic thing where we say a thing meaning well but people read it the wrong way
Precisely. the "think of the children" crowd don't seem to understand that by making people identify themselves as either adults or children, they are making it easier for people to seek to harm children to find them, and they are making a world where the moment those kids hit adulthood, they have to risk doxxing themselves online in order to function as an adult. It's causing long-term harm so they can roleplay as serving the best interests of "the kids" in the short term.
Sometimes we forget about the deeper between-the-lines stuff, sometimes people read into what we say way too hard lol
some are socially ackward yeah i see that sometimes im lucky to not really be socially ackward in that way
i just stutter and struggle to find my wording
I am prone to making the "saying" part of this mistake.
its a trojan horse all it is
it can be boiled down to the government wanting to be able to link your online activity to you
thats what is trurly about being able to track you and see what you do online
uk made vpns illegal for god sakes
Absolutely. I mean, the UK is adding restrictions to online privacy continually, but the advisors brought on board never include digital privacy experts or online security experts, the "experts" are always curated to fit their agenda.
any real expert worth there sault knows how useless this is
They haven't. They would probably like to if they could, though.
last i heard they where really pushing for it
and seeing the uk government as of late wouldint suprise me if it becomes law
i assumed it already did
Trying to outlaw VPN's would be like trying to outlaw cars, when anyone can in theory weld four wheels to a frame given sufficient understanding.
boomers dont have the first understanding of how the internet works
they look at it like its a bunch of rooms that people walk in and out of
they see it as something that can be controlled
The country relies on VPNs in order to function. They couldn't stop the use of VPNs without crippling the country.
i wouldint say that most people dont even use a vpn
That makes me wonder if they even realize this.
thats probs gonna change tho
OH NO
havent seen a good anime since attack on titan
i cant stand most anime
disney ass writing and shit
For example, most businesses nees to use vpns in some form or another, so they would have to create some pretty ridiculous list of permisions and exceptions to make it workable.
Hopefully I can change that in the near future.
The fuck were you watching? lmao
yeah businesses gotta encrypt there data
naurto and a lot of other shit
naurto is the worst
PLEASE DO NOT WELD WHEELS TO A CAR FRAME
Naruto is for younger audiences. Like, teen boys.
i get that but even when i was younger i wasent a fan of the whole "saved by someone at the very last second" trope every single fight
It builds tension. If you want an anime that doesn't do that, try Ajin Demi-Human.
that was a good anime but the manga is better
Add a proper steering mechanism while you are at not-welding-the-wheels, too.
and i like one that builds tension and has real stakes
I agree. I'm mad that they didn't finishe it.
You probably want to add some kind of drive shaft that allows a power source to apply torque to the wheels
gotta read the manga its a lot better
and it just finished in 2021
I did. But the anime did some interesting things with the animation that I really found enjoyable.
for me it dosent build tension after the third time of naurto getting saved at the last second i come to expect it and fights dont feel like they have stakes because characters never die the only time i was thinking someone might die is during the sasuke retrieval arc
You get what I mean, though. Even if people banned "cars", people could build something that resembled a car in order to fulfil the same requirement.
i really like akama ga kill mostly because every fight someone dies so every fight has very very high stakes
I am sure Primarina was being sarcastic.
Most lkely. :p
I think one of the best parts in Naruto was their first mission. It drove the point home that they weren't playing anymore. But since then, it just felt like a cakewalk
dude the first mission was peak naurto
ninjas work for the outside world naurto forgot that
I love it when students get the point driven home that they very much are likely to die.
it did an amazing job of introducing us to the naurto world and naurto had to use his brain since he didint have any real power i miss that shit now its just lazer beams
Things were interesting until Naruto and Sasuke had their major fight, and then they kinda lost the plot until Shippuden.
shippuden fucking sucks
In shonen, it's a constant "oh, bad guy is more powerful. Somehow, I must become even more powerful."
i will forever shit on shippuden
power scalling was thrown out the window
and the whole war arc ending
i dont blame you
I'm out of my depth here. My taste in anime was more Space Battleship Yamato than Naruto.
I have a soft spot for Bleach because most of it was just... stupid. There was a point where the creator even knew that.
i like animes that get me invested into them
Yu Yu Hakusho was peak Shonen.
attack on titan is my all time favorite anime
that shit is gold
plot twist after plot twist
I have had greater interest in animes like Bleach, Dragon Ball (especially Z), and One Piece. At least the scaling has been rather consistent in those areas (at least I think).
i can not get into dragon ball
The first half of the first season of AOT was my shit. Then I dropped it. I lost interest.
way way way to much talking and recaps
I never finished watching that. I was enjoying it, then they split one of the seasons in two and I just.... forgot to carry on watching it. I need to pick that up sometime.
nah you gotta get into it
Lotta screaming.
trust me it gets really crazy
I know. But... meh.
The first series was quite loose around the swimming pool, I admit.
I think I outgrew it.
Dragonball was cute. It was just Kid Goku and Kid Bulma on adventures.
even later on its just like
And I still outgrew it.
i want to watch a fight not watch 20 minutes of recap
another 10 minutes of talking
and then they fight
lol that's most 90's anime
There's a wholeass period where western shows would make fun of anime for that reason
ik and i hate it 90's anime has a certain charm to it but i cant get into most of it because of that
i love 90's anime style
It evolved. But now, we get isekai and that's a whole nother beast
There's also 90's anime with barely any talking at all.
I also enjoyed Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I've not really got into the typical Shonen stuff. I don't know why, I don't think I'm too good for it or anything, I just never got round to it. I think Dragonball Z got really popular in the states and that got the ball rolling, but over here I didn't really notice that as much.
Inuyasha was the one I would stay up past my bedtime for when I was a kid.
Adult Swim used to have an anime block and they showed Inuyasha, Cowboy Bebop, Big O and Trigun.
My horizons were expanded.
it was weird back in the day disney ex had naurto on it
and they censord the fuck out of it
My introduction to anime was really weird. They used to have a library van where I lived, and I was able to borrow VHS cassettes. Space Battleship Yamato, Speed Racer, Mazinger Z.... I didn't really know what anime was then. It wasn't until the mid-90's when people started talking about Gundam Wing that I really saw people talking about anime much.
Remember 4Kids?
i do not
I've seen some of their censorship online, it can be absolutely hilarious
People substituting guns for pointing their fingers at people, cigars for lolipops, etc.
God, I'm too tired to stop the typos, sorry.
god forbid children see a gun or a cigar
Yu-Gi-Oh! was one of their victims. Yu-Gi-Oh! was a Shonen Jump series that had blood, death, guns and a lot of violence. It was brutal, but then 4Kids sanitized the shit out of it and it became less edgy.
Well, if there is any interest in what I have to say, I am planning on creating a series and eventually making an anime out of it. If I could share it without some bad actor snatching it before I get it copyrighted, we would be here all week. That is how great its scope is.
As of right now, I am in the middle of typing a novel. It has reached over 120 pages.
One Piece was butchered as well.
Hopefully, my series will go on to break the cycle anime has found itself in.
shitty thing is is that it fucks everyone becuase if you want to go back and watch it dubbed uncensored you cant
I think Yami Yugi literally burned someone alive, chill
Bakura also killed Bones. Like, straight up killed him.
I think Bandit Keith was also killed at some point.
Who said 2D was only for kids?
I only know a little about the original manga, chill. Fun fact, it wasn't always about the card game
Shareholders
The Japanese version wasn't touched by 4Kids. It's available online.
yeah but watching subbed anime isint fun for a lot of people
In fact, chill, the card game in Yu-Gi-Oh was supposed to be a filler arc or something like that
Idk. Before it became "for children", animation was aimed to adults.
Well, idk what to tell ya.
Those squigs can go to Zog. I don't plan on going public, ever. I view that as the beginning of one's downfall.
Good luck getting the funds
At some point, they found cartoons to be more marketable to children.
Dey's just a buncha gits, I tells ya.
if your not going to have share holders you have to hope you get a loan from a bank
or a firm
Or crowdfunding
and good luck with that
that as well
But you'd have to really sell it.
Wasn't it originally about regulating comic books in the U.S, and it eventually bled through into animation?
Idk. Maybe
you can do whatever with comics
its just when you try selling it to children is when it gets tricky
Well, let's see what I have:
I have a typing program,
the Moho animation studio,
decent sketching skills i am further improving on,
and way too much time on my hands, time I need to spend less on video games.
i dont see money
Still, the idea that an entire medium like animation or computer games are for children is myopic. That's like saying that only people from ages 21-35 can enjoy art galleries. It's nonsense.
There was a time when there were heavy regulations on comic books. Regardless of whether or not they were for kids. The Hayes Code really screwed a lot of indie comics over.
From what I've heard it was moreso because of TV. Cheap cartoons were put out on TV to stay in the public's eye, but that made people correlate cartoons with cheap kid content
Ah, that's what I'd heard of. I didn't know the name. It was back when they had all the detective comics and stuff.
All I need is some form of "garage". Walt Disney did not get his start with very much capital.
looking into it and it seems it wasent a law but more of a rule made by the motion picture indursty
dude was rich as fuck
Yeah, there were a lot of women being murdered in grotesque ways that raised concern.
So you can make an anime that has no voice acting, but how are you going to publish it, and get it seen
The Red Scare didn't help matters
How are you going to edit, produce, and ensure quality at a sustainable pace
thats peanuts compared to marketing costs
That too
Even medium tier YouTubers have like 10 editors behind them, a one man show is a fantasy and probably always has been
look at mr beast....
I don't want to.
I mean, maybe in the 7th century you could stand on a box and shout and people would consider that the pinnacle of artistry
im just saying look at the resources it takes to make something
honestly your best bet is crowd funding
and marketing via word of mouth and hoping it catches
That's easy, use AI.... laughs hysterically at those deadpan AI dubs that people made
make a youtube channel twitter account make hype around it
Tbf mr beast is incredibly extravagant and a reasonable production would not need such exorbitant spending, at least on the actual media
I can do voice acting. I happen to be quite adept at it.
Plus, I have extended family willing to help me when I do get to that point.
Also, I have a YouTube account I have been sitting on for years. Maybe I can use it to gain some notice.
Guy literally hands out hundred thousand dollar bundles like candy
casual voice actor vs professional
do you have a recording set up
If you could just "gain notice" with YouTube everyone here would already know my name
kills you
dies laughing at how bad the dubs were
if he is good he can drop trailers and shit to make hype around his anime
hard part is you gotta be able to write scripts voice act animate
all that shit just to make hype
it reminds me of those celebs who think its easy to make tv shows and make afuwl shows that fucking flop after one season
"Wot, you don' fhink me voice aktin'z good 'nuff? I spent dekadez frum da time I waz little playin' wid me voice! I's gotten so good, I kould even maek me own sound effektz wid it!"
Do they perhaps make video games too
Because it would explain a few things
It really does feel that "algorithm jail" can be a thing. I stopped posting on my Instagram when I was uploading pictures of my Warhammer models and when I came back it was just impossible to to anyone to notice again.
a lot of celebs try diffrent things
some flop making video games some flop trying to make show's
can you invest several thousand dollars into recording shit
another several thousand on a drawing pad
for a high grade one i would say around 3 to 5 grand
Get 'dis boy a produktion krew! I need grotz 'ere, yesturday!
I have a Blue Snowball mic and adept usage with Audacity. I even figured out how to turn my voice into some of the pop culture voices I have heard over the years.
oh you sweet summer child
If only I had such talent. I have a voice like a mumbling cement mixer.
i can voice act really well but i know im no where near someone who does it for a career
people have voice acting coaches
Can we neuter the pug
I listen to a lot of videos of video game OSTs with lyrics and you can tell who has professional voice acting experience, who has a high quality microphone setup, and who doesn't
All of them have a lot of passion and can sing far better than I can but you're either perfect or you cause ear damage
yes 100 percent my 100 dollar yeti mic is gonna sound like shit compared to a thousand dollar microphone in a recording stuido with sound damping shit and 200 dollar software to ajust my voice perfectly
a voice recording stuido is super high tech
I mean you can probably get by with only some of those things in the videos I listen to but if you want an anime that changes people's view then you need all of them
you could set up a soilid recording set up in a closet
Perhaps there is someone out there looking for that kind of a voice. You never know, but it doesn't mean you totally suck at it. Practice makes perfect. 😊
Like if squig was just talking about making anime in general I would believe him
It's a lofty goal but very attainable
i can see it maybe working if you have money to invest in high quailty stuff and if you have experience in the feild
Never say never! 😁
Maybe, but I invested my skill points in painting little plastic, metal and resin models. lol
-# At least your voice is the right gender
If "awkward" is a gender, then yes, I am. lmao
You constantly see small cabinets at home get turned into recording booths at home by Japanese VAs on twitter, it is not uncommon.
yeah but it rarely ever sounds as good as a studio
they sound good dont get me wrong very good
but compared to a studio most of the time they sound better at a studio
my silent room is our of osb boards and insulation foam
its actually common construction in rec studios
I mean I have wallpaper and carpet in my room, zero echo.
I don't live in a modern slop room
Something else about me, the reason I have this series at all is I probably have the most powerful imagination I know of. If I come up with or dig up a really interesting subject, my mind will run away with it and it can get out of control for a few hours, sometimes days. At the end of it, I have a whole new plot line complete with locations, scenes, characters, objects, and a lot of other things, all original! Now that I have it, I can simply add onto it as I please!
yeah but i can get chainsaw massacred and produce no sound outside
its a flaw in the house
Ego
You went through Bluelock am I right
world bulding takes more then a couple of hours
takes years
I don't know if it is ego, though. This imagination I have has no on/off switch. It tends to butt in at inconvenient times and I can get distracted very easily with it.
What if it's a really tiny world? lol
Size doesn't matter, but how you fill it.
i mean "when the grinch stole christmas's" world takes place on a spec of dust and it took dr suess a couple months to write that book
Look at those games with big open worlds that are mostly empty or filled with arbitrary time wasters
I seem to be the exception, then. I can create a whole world within weeks at the least, then I add it to the galaxy in my series if I deem it worthy enough to include in the full storyline.
ubisoft
What if I create a world the size of a marble, and it's hollow in the middle? :p
lol mk
That is King Kong vs Godzilla
More like the creation of an earth-mass black hole.
You have not seen me
TLDR: It's not about the lootboxes, it's about putting the age verification thing on steam
Joking aside, yeah, worldbuilding must take a lot of work to make things believable and logically consistent.
120 pages?
Try 700
i cant tell if he is being serious at this point
Hollow earth theory
it takes SO SO much time to make a world that feels real
jk rowling rewrote harry potter like 8 diffrent times
And it still doesn't make any sense!
it does if you ignore the curse child shit
This series I have, if made into a wiki, would likely overshadow the one attached to The Lord of the Rings, and by no small margin, either.
Art reflects the self or something
Stupid b-tch
its gonna be up there with the best peices of art that the human mind has created you should be given a nobel prize for literacy
it will be up there with such classic art pecies like the bible
I know, right? Quidditch is the most ridiculous idea for a sport ever. I recently heard someone comparing it to watching a game of basketball, and then the game ends suddenly because two of the players were out trying to catch frogs in the car park outside. lol
The longer I sit on it, the bigger it gets.
i do agree quidditch dosent make any sense and was just something so harry could have more main character syndrom
Pretty soon, I might find myself looking at a case of project scope creep.
Just like my backside, interestingly.
I walked in maybe half an hour into one of the movies and literally every 6 seconds they just made up a new thing about magic that has no correlation or reason to exist in a larger picture
the only way the game could be won was by catching the snitch so its like whats the point of earning points or doing anything else and of course harry was the one who was catching the snitch
It almost entirely trivialises the rest of the game in nearly every case.
Well, now that I said this, I think I know what I will be doing tomorrow.
Nothing about the wizard world makes any sense and if you stop doing whatever drugs they put in the potions it just looks and sounds ridiculous
I may have come up with a way to explain it in my series.
Maybe this is because I am a machinist but like idk
It seemed more like an acid trip trying to take itself seriously than actual world building
it makes sense but it dosent
Rowling has some crazy good drugs
i dont feel like doing a lore dump on the harry potter world rn but
The train fear drugs
jk rowling built a world that works if you ignore a lot of plot holes
Bad opinion pills
It works if you ignore that it doesn't
how can you say it dosent when you havent watched the movies or read the books
I did read like half the books
ive watched the movies and done a lot of deep dives into the lore
I will divulge part of it is treating it like a programmable language, and using some sort of energy source to power it.
Mumbling some mumbo-jumbo makes no logical sense to me. "It just works" doesn't apply here without an explanation.
At least 3 of them
My guy I already did this several times
a lot of spells just exist just because there isint an inherant reason for them being there its just magic same with magic objects
the wizarding world is run by the ministry of magic
is it perfect fuck no its full of plot holes and shit
As far as I'm concerned anyone who hasn't turned magic into a complex but arguably extremely scientific system is simply not trying hard enough
well, where does magic come from in the first place?
magic is magic if you have to explan how it works then it isint magic
That is what I want to answer.
how does a poke ball work
in pokemon people use pokeballs that seemly magicly capture pokemon and turn them into freindly creatures
goes rummaging through the source code
its never explained how and pokemon use magic abilities
I am not the person you should ask with that. I am not the one who created the franchise it is in.
It still will not stop me from asking that question. 😂
point is there is no define way your supposed to come up with an idea of how it works in your head
you the viewer are supposed to ponder how it might work
same with harry potter
I know a few people who are not content with leaving it at that. My dad is one of them.
Hairy pott however seem to claim that physics dont work in hogwarts aka muggle tech
personally i enjoy when im not treated like a child and a series dosent tell me everything about it i like when it wants me to figure something out on my own
or a series that dosent explain every facet of how it works
Whoa, you just threw a monkey wrench into our contemplation!
Yeah, Pokémon gets confusing like that. You might see a Pokédex entry saying a Ponyta's mane is no longer hot to the touch to people it accepts. How does it turn "hurty" off?
but half the stuff wizards use is muggle tech "but magic!!!"
Magic = too sophisticated for monke brain understand
makes sense when a lot of wizards live side by side with muggles
I know is funny isnt it, then weasly comes along Beep Beep i got a flying car!
Stupid...
Again maybe I'm biased because I'm a woman of science and also I think Rowling is a horrible person
Ok but consider that I'm the target of her horrible opinions
isint she a feminist
So I have a lot more basis to want to hit her with a frying pan so hard it makes her face flat like a looney toon
She is of the extremely loud belief that I am not a real woman
How is it no one else seems to have thought of magic being an alternate path outside of technology, or am I just crazy?
your transgender?
Consequently, I have no real respect for any of her work
Well... the circuits on a computerchip might be interpreted as intricate runes upon an enchanted item
Ah, when you mentioned my voice matching my gender earlier it was for a reason. I had a hunch, but thought it polite not to ask. 🙂
a modern day cpu is the closest we are gonna get to magic
My thoughts exactly!
the fact we can make a cpu is beoyond crazy
It was a hint, of sorts
"No magik fizzy-whizz inkluded!"
The more common a thing is, the less magic it is.
And a EMP is essentially a dispell magic for muggles
we should fear an emp more then a nuke
at least a nuke might kill you and get it over with
but a emp would lead to chaos
Awfully selfish
Well you get EMP by setting off a nuke
rather die then suffer man
I'd rather the sun rise tomorrow than it not
Forbidden magic
Forbidden technology
Both are equally destructive in their own right.
Yeah id rather go with the blastwave than the radiatipn sickness
fair but if your gonna get nuked or emp'd i would take the nuke
Well, the emp might stop my toaster working but the nuke itself makes me bleed out of both ends. I know which sounds more unpleasant to me. lol
its not what the emp does to your pc its the ripple effects
can you imagine if all the banks systems went under
the grid just shutting down
If it were me specifically I would still take the EMP because I can just go somewhere not as affected
I might actually live
Toaster will be fine, the IT networks are fked
Sure, society would collapse, barbarism and all that, but radioactive fallout scares me far more.
If it's the entire world I still take the emp because the biosphere will be largely unfazed
Coincidentally I watched "Where the Wind Blows" a few days ago. It's heartbreaking.
i would rather die in a blink of an eye then endure the collaspe of society
And if life continues then someone else will at least see tomorrow
Either way I lose but if I had the choice I wouldn't want to take the entire planet down with me just for a little less pain
life will keep going i have no doubt its just life would be a struggle
All life is precious and I cannot justify it's extinction just to make our own quick and painless
it would be like a fallout game just without the radiation
Oh, wow, it is almost midnight at my place! Better get to bed, or I will be a zombie tomorrow.
This was a nice talk. I will see you all later. 🖖👋
Humans will outlast cockroaches
i doubt humans will last another 300 years
Good
all it takes is for one person to set off one nuke and its over
Let the goblins have a go
I'm not making bold predictions about the survival of humanity. I can't predict what I will eat for dinner tomorrow. lol
Mood
im wondering if humans will ever reach the stars
will we make bases on the moon and mars
We have reached one
I'm sure if we set off all our nukes at once parts of us will.
nukes just turn things to dust
I have bad news about the escape velocity of earth at sea level
if you go to japan you can still find shadow's burned into cement in certain places
its all thats left of certain people
Stop ruining my nihilistic desire to explore the stars as dust! lmao
Good news about the sun in many billions of years
Bad news about the escape velocity of the solar system
Good point, play the long game, wait for the sun to come to us. lol
Once we start colonizing other planets you will see eugenics catapult
the sun is so scary
any day it can go "yk what fuck the earth" and have a solar flare
It's just hydrogen and helium dude calm down
solar flares are scary
Its so damn loud i cannot stand it
its a scary bright ball
I'm pretty sure scientists can model and predict solar storms
Somewhat, need more data
Sulphuric acid is just sulphur, oxygen and hydrogen, I still don't want to bathe in it. lol
we know really nothing of space or what the sun can do or cant do
It's only scary if you don't believe in modern science but understand the most basic facts as they pertain to us
We know more of space than our oceans
fun thing about facts is they change over time
This is actually just false!!!
read a book about that
We've mapped the entire sea floor
Science is the most retconned continuity ever devised. lol
but there is still SO much unknown
Using a combination of satellites and sonar I'm pretty sure we have the entire topography
we are not even close
And we've sent many many many probes that come back regularly with samples
SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!
ocean is big like really really big you hear the word big you think big but your mind cant not fahtom just how big
Topography does not tell us what is down there
Like biospheres etc
I heard recently that they discovered a species of fish that lives exclusively in groundwater and just squeezes itself through gaps in the ground. It's insane what weird creatures must be out there we have no understanding of.
Yeah that’s why it’s topography and not bottomography
Vast troves of knowledge have been learned and yeah there's still a lot more but what we know about space is barely anything compared to the whole
the animal that shocks me is the jelly fish that can de age it self
it can fucking turn back time and turn it self back into a baby
if its not eaten it can live forever
I mean we've determined the finite boundaries of the ocean and categorized basically every region
so in theory there may be a jelly fish in the ocean right now that is older then jesus christ
I mean sharks are older than trees so it’s not that farfetched.
no i mean one that has been ALIVE for that long
We've classified a substantial amount of the life in it, and we have seen how that sea floor got there and where it is going
There there's those odd tardigrade things. It's amazing whats out there.
so its older then jesus like it was alive before jesus and is still alive today
We can model the position of the ocean throughout time, in the entirety of what we have mapped
since it cant die via age if it was never eaten it can still be alive as a 60 thousand ish year old jelly fish
The deepest parts of the ocean have been touched by man
Or at least by our machines
@teal iron fact is we barely have any of the ocean mapped
that we know of
We have barely gotten one prove out of the solar system
its very possible there are deeper sections
And we'll never ever hear from that probe again
Once it gets too far to track via telescope it is basically gone
Poor lil' fellow, all cold and lonely out there. We should yeet some friends out there to keep that one company.
Do we have any clue where space ends
its still giving us data..
it dosent
What % of the stars have we mapped

000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.1 percent
your point being?
So I reiterate
"We know more about space than the ocean" is laughably false
It's absurd
not really, depends how you define mapped.
large scale mapped out, we have, small scale we don't.
I'm pretty sure humans have gone further into the oceans as far as extremity than we have space
What I want to know is, what do we know about other oceans on other planets out in space? :p
i agree
I mean
The moon is REALLY far away
So physical distance yeah
You cannot go nearly as far, it's impossible
But more humans have seen the bottom of the ocean than have seen the surface of the moon
how do you know it was the bottom
Possibly more than have left the atmosphere
The earth is definitely not hollo
what if we find a deeper point later
then we havent found the deepist part yet
the unknown is still unknown
We may not have reached the deepest point but like
The bottom of the Atlantic is still the ocean floor
Lol, we just go down far enough in a submarine and surface upside-down on the other side. 😄
I would eat my pants
I hope those are leather pants
This is being pedantic
If I pick a point in the open ocean and go until I hit solid rock then I have reached the bottom of the ocean
mmmm...fibers are good for constipation
I'm more concerned about whether we are talking British pants or American pants. This makes a big difference here.
you reached the bottom of that part of the ocean
For the sake of fairness we will exclude any such points that can be reached without a pressure vessel
its like a giant lake some points are shallow some are deep some are deeper
Though I kinda doubt any exist as such shallowness would mean you arguably aren't in open ocean anyway
i guess the "shallow" parts can be considerd parts where you can still see the bottom from a boat
A sandbar in the middle of nowhere isn't open ocean for this discussion
As I said
Excluding anywhere that you can reach the bottom without a pressure vessel
I'm a pressure vessel
That is
Places where trying to go that deep will cause you to find out why it's called crush depth
and we don't use xbox controllers to steer it.
well even then the ocean most of the ocean floor as we know it has a certain depth but then you find places like trenches that go down very very deep
That's not the point
Why did I feel I understood the conversation better when we were talking about nuclear armageddon and the depths of space compared to measuring sandbars with a stick or something?
You are again being so incredibly pedantic
More human beings
Have gone in a submarine
To very very deep parts of the ocean, the furthest currently known reaches
And seen it with their own eyes
Than have landed on the moon
And tbh I still doubt this "we don't know how deep it is" nonsense
I guess looking into the depths of the ocean is like trying to spraypaint an uneven surface. Sometimes you have to get to just the right angle to map it properly?
I mean there have been more people on the ISS than on the moon too
its not non sense when we barely have any of it mapped its just the facts and facts do change when more infomation is discoverd
you'd think we would try to build research facilities on the moon instead of just on that silly space station
It sounds like something someone would say before telling me about the lost atlantean civilization that ruled the world at the end of the last ice age
right now we think the marina trench is the deepest spot in the ocean but that may change we may find a deeper trench in the future
ppl think it's been found on italy or spain.
Like that's a cool conspiracy bud but I haven't heard any reputable marine geologists back it up
because there's a bunch of ruins there that have been found in ancient texts that match up
Nah, we know where the Atlanteans went, they are chilling out on Venus because we were too noisy and they got fed up with us. lol
I think if there were any such deeper place we would have geological evidence that would point us to it
sounds like ocean propaganda to me
big ocean at it again
I feel like there's not enough evidence to say we haven't explored more
I don't believe a thing the ocean is trying to peddle to us.
" While the entire seafloor has been mapped using data collected from satellites"
I was right
@teal iron and thats from the people who go out and send probes down in the ocean
see, that's what I'm saying, we have mapped the ocean
it's just semantics on what you mean by it
As of June 2025, 27.3% of the global seafloor had been mapped with modern high-resolution technology (multibeam sonar systems), usually mounted to ships, that can reveal the seafloor in greater detail. While almost 54% of the seafloor beneath U.S. waters had been mapped to these modern standards, the nation’s seafloor is larger than the land area of all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the five territories combined. Thus, there’s still a significant amount of seafloor left to be mapped at high resolution.
We can’t say we’ve explored the seafloor until we’ve seen it, and explorers have seen less than 0.001% of the deep ocean seafloor — that’s roughly the size of Rhode Island. Since more than 90% of the ocean is deep ocean (i.e., deeper than 200 meters/656 feet), a very large majority of the ocean remains to be explored.
"with modern high resolution technology"
I imagine the topography of the ocean is mapped, but the ecosystems down there are more what's mysterious to us. I doubt you can see weird marine life at the bottom of the ocean with a space telescope even if you can map the bottom.

We have a great deal more to learn about our ocean and what resides within it, but progress IS being made. We learn more and more each year. We continue to discover new features and creatures, clues to our past, and resources that can improve our future. But the ocean will never be fully explored. Earth is constantly changing, and it’s important to understand these changes given the importance of the ocean in our everyday lives.
not that big
They want you to think there is no ice at the edges guarded by the feds
As in
We have maps, we just don't have super high resolution maps that let us pick out individual boulders on the ocean floor, because that requires sonar on boats
We know the basic shape probably down to the precision of any distinct shapes
Like mountains and trenches
I mean, we literally do not have high res maps of some of the Rain Forests on this world either, but we have mapped them.
Pug is either very ignorant or trolling at this point
your definition of 'mapped' is just different from what others think of what mapped means
It says throughout those paragraphs that they just mean it isn't mapped with the latest shiny technology we invented like yesterday
Until we find the real location of Spongebob's house, the ocean isn't mapped completely.
They haven't mapped my house with ship mounted multi beam sonar, so I guess nobody knows where my kitchen is
in video games you generally have a map too, in some you can see every resource and it's respawn time, that's what you want for 'it being mapped' we others, just have a general no resource accurate general lay of the land map as 'it's mapped'
let that sink in.
Me when I try to plot a gps to McDonald's but they haven't flown a 787 equipped with state of the art lidar over my area so the entire map is blank
It must be awful for you trying to make some toast, you might disappear into some Bermuda Triangle we know nothing about. Please be careful.
are they up to 787 now? I remember when it was 747
I found a puddle in my yard, but I'm afraid to step in it, because I haven't used a magnetometer mounted on my Gerald Ford class aircraft carrier to map the depth of each square inch down to tht individual grains of clay
It could be deeper than my ankle, we don't know
falls down a kilometer-deep trench
By our garbage too
We've mapped 0% of my living room, I'm completely blind in there
By your garbage, you have my compost.
i can find nothing from any institute saying the ocean has been fully mapped 350 million square miles is hard to map
