People technically have the same thing, but ours aren’t nearly big enough to notice with the naked eye, let alone function like a cat’s tongue. Eh I doubt it would've gone smoother. I don't think Palworld was targeted just for looking suspiciously similar to Pokemon, and the capture patents regard "launching capture objects" which would apply to any fantasy thing like magic cards or projectile discs. Depending on interpretation, it could even apply to tranq ammo for bowguns in Monster Hunter could qualify too since you're launching an object that performs a capture action, though I admittedly lack the legal insights to make a definitive claim on that specific matter.
Truth be told if it weren't for the requirement that aiming be done in 3D space I'd eagerly cite Starbound capture pods as proof the patent's invalid, but eh. Guess that's why I'm not a lawyer.

Eh, I don't know enough about Japanese law to know what proper procedure's supposed to look like, but if Japanese judges are anything like American judges they have to at least hear both sides after a case is granted.
It's a high profile case with a high profile company that has a lot of social sway in Japan. You don't handle stuff like that lightly. Someone with extensive insight on the face of the gaming industry can tell you why the patents are bogus, but the judge is only supposed to consider that if it comes up in court. And even then, it's not like arguing a case is easy.

The mesh, which is the vertices and the textures and all that which you see
And the skeleton, which controls animation and stuff.
This game and miraibo copied the skeleton and (as far as I know) created their own mesh
Some of the meshes are suspiciously similar but iirc I opened miraibo and found the UVs were very different which if you were recycling the mesh I don't see why you would do that
And in my opinion their work with the mesh is pretty good

Like that legit goes beyond just having very clear stylistic influences like Palworld lol. Like it genuinely has something in every frame that is a genuine plagiarism nightmare. It is all the stuff people kept claiming Palworld was.

you should really look at the the publisher previous game. They literally stole Maplestory IP and called themselves maplestory x minecraft. which happen to be maplestory 2 identity... Also the bugs are hilarious. Having mobs spawn on top of your head is valid same on light sources. So I'd expect the same from pickmon.
