Yeah it looks flashy on the carefully curated video to watch but if you tried to play a game like this you would probably get some kind of motion sickness and vomit
Watching a surreal mushy dreamscape is one thing, trying to interact with it in a serious fashion is another
This video doesn't even show any indication of the limits, he intentionally avoids trees which suggests that the system will not handle it well and that he had to carefully record a video that not only works decently but also involves none of the horrific bugs that likely lurk outside the video
And sure, most presentations are like that
The early Palworld gameplay trailers were also probably unplayable outside of what they showed video of but the difference is that with human programming you can actually fix these bugs whether they're big or small
AI cannot, it is working to its absolute limits to produce a guy driving a car in a flat plane while a Minecraft world literally warps itself to allow him to do so
The reason investors think this will disrupt gaming is because they don't play enough video games to realize this is nothing this is a bluff

No they are made to be found they're just difficult 'cause they're a thing you can't really reverse-engineer

They know it exists: inspection of the code reveals a function for world-gen that is called "dithering snake", which is what creates it.
However, the "password" to trigger that code on PC is unknown right now, because the game checks for a certain one-way hash.

it does have an auto-complete setting to do it for you but then that takes away a core gameplay element
a recent patch did add in "guard feedback" so you can turn it on to tell you if your were early or late to help you learn the timing

it doesn't fix the timing itself though. for context, ttyd is 8/60 and 3/60 for it's guards, big fables is 19(15+4)/60
no joke, ever after feels like it's literally frame perfect
