For context regarding gliding: it was specifically the appearance & the utility of gliding.

While one can still glide, you actually need a glider currently, whereas previously before one of palworlds old updates, tamers didn't need a glider if they had a pal like galeclaw, killamari, hangyu, etc. acting as the defacto glider while in your party without actually needing a glider. (which helped with managing inventory weight a little beforehand.)

After that update, tamers actually need a glider equipped, and the aforementioned pals only affect the way the glider performs rather than being used as the glider. (which sucks as I liked using the respective pals as a glider & hope it makes a return post-litigation, leaving it at that.)

Problem is more usage; say a floor needs 1 sq cm of water pipe, 1000 floors means your initial pipe size is 1000 sq cm. Plus you need the pump for that, so that's a ton of space and power, and you'd want duplicates so if one fails you don't lose all water pressure/supply...
You'd probably want many redundant systems because if one fails, you really don't want to be 3000m up without power or water.

the problem I have with it, is when people say it enhances performance, which it doesn't, it introduces input lag no matter how small, and it creates visual ghosting and the frames it generates are fake, they are not made by the game, so what happens on those is not happening in the game.
Not sure if people understand what I'm getting at.

It's to me just a strange solution to a problem that lies on the developers to optimise the game and not rely on proprietary software to 'optimise' the game after the fact.

I personally don't know what these people have been doing in the time since their last published game, so I can't say how they got paid for what work they did during that time.

Like honestly, the way big corporations work is really strange to me, if you don't have a title you're constantly needing your workforce for, or have those people constantly work on new things, why not just go with contract hires instead of full employments.

A lot less of a hassle to deal with tbh, unless you HAVE to have the people working for you use some sort of standardised software or other kind of structured coding habits.

Most animation studios have a lot of outsourcing, which is especially noticable in some of the best OPening movies for anime, where you see a ton of different scenes, those are usually done by a dozen of artists to get a complete thing done, not just by a single person.

modern consoles are just worse PCs, backin the day, a PC offered a different enough experience to consoles where you mostly mouse and keyboard gamed, and were playing RTS or other games featuring point and click which were more of a hassle on a console, like zoo tycoon or something.

But ever since consoles wanted to be always online and require you to download more stuff from the online store, it became just a worse experience that didn't interest me anymore, at the same time, emulation and controller support first party on PC became more established too, so I didn't have to have the latest modern console anymore.
